    I was wondering if this method can be altered, to give every piece a different random rotation between to values?! :)

      yea, just input random values for the axis and angle.

    I am curious how to point to the center or a null, I am coming from XSI ICE, trying to learn Houdini, ICE has a direction to rotation node where you can just plug the vector you want to point to, wondering how to do that here.

      are you referring to "look at". There is a look at vop that lets you orient toward a position. hopefully this helps. If you cant get it working lmk. www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/nodes/vop/lookat.html

    What can you do if you want the orient to conform to your normal attribute? For scattering leaves along a line with N from polyframe.

      @evanrudefx  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can already just use N to orient instances.

      @@evanrudefx what about the twisting tho?

      How would you do it actually?

      @@globglob3d what do you mean by twisting?

      @@evanrudefx I think he means that say if you have the default behavior of the copy to point on a polygon object you will get the instances all pointing outwards on the point normal, same direction of the polygon face, and then he wants to rotate the instances on their local Y axis so that they turn clockwise or counter clockwise.
