  • A look into a fully art-directable procedural fire setup that works for pretty much everything if you need to burn things down.
Fabian Nowak is the Head of FX and FX Supervisor at The Yard VFX. He has worked over the last decade in London, at MPC and ILM (Industrial Light & Magic), exclusively on big blockbuster films, such as Guardians of The Galaxy, Jungle Book, Lion King, Jurassic World, Avengers Infinity Wars & End Game, and many others. He was awarded a VES in 2017 for best effects simulations in a photoreal feature for Jungle Book. Back in France a few years ago, he's now driving the FX Department at The Yard, where he's dedicated to delivering the best effects possible on every exciting and challenging show.

This video is quite fast-paced and advanced, making it difficult for me to understand as a junior artist, but I really enjoyed the final result. I always get confused about whether to use Axiom or the in-built Pyro, because many people say the in-built Pyro gives you more control than Axiom

      No I can't, sorry.
But I share all the usefull information in the talk already, so no need for a hip. You should be able to figure out yourself now that I gave all the keys :)

@@Fabian_Nowak_VFX I was only referring to the demo file that you created for this talk, not the show or studio’s project file. 😊

@@shivdholakiayeah that "demo file" is all about showing the 'Yard_simple_Fire' setup I've created for the studio, so it's quite obvious that I'm not gonna share it ! 😊
The whole scene is basically a walkthrough a proprietary tool I've made for our studio.
