My favorite British reviewer, probably one of the best for several reasons, elegantly and beautifully gives information and covers with a topping of sarcasm and jokes.
Every Good Enough Tech Review video that comes out, I have to look over the fact that he is british. They blew a 13 colony lead and eat their stupid beans on toast. This video however, is good. It's weird how ThatKid and I can have the same nightmare. I too was looking for a Best Artisan MousePad alternative for under $30 or less! but couldnt find any. But that's when I saw it, a tweet from none other than Gary himself. Thank you for your service Gary, as none of us were brave to stand up to boardzy.
I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night today after a nightmare. This nightmare entailed a situation where I could not find artisan mousepad alternatives for under $30 or less. To my delighted surprise, you have made a video contradicting this nightmare. I have to say that the immense dedication put into these videos truly makes this video both entertaining and informative. All thanks to you I now have alternative options for artisan mousepads. Also, where am I able to buy the Shrek mousepad shown at 0:16? Asking for a friend.
As someone who used a AC+ before switching to a hien, I couldn't notice a difference other than the base being better and the foam being thicker on the Hien, compared to the AC+ being such a cheap pad it's definetly a great option for the Hien alternative.
Yeah, the artisan options are usually better for the most part, but only very slightly and for some people, finding $55+ to drop on a pad isn't easy with everything else getting more expensive too 😬
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews yeah as an Australian the AC+ cost me about 70$ after shipping for the 450x400 but the artisan cost a 130$ which was not an easy sell. I don't see myself switching from it ever though and thats something that I like about the Artisan
Aussie tax is the worst... I think your local boys Spyre might have something new in the works very soon which will be affordable for the Australian crowd!
i think youd find the new grandmaster pads as a better raiden alternative. same surface but with a different and improved base. great vid as usual! glad to see you back uploading
I'd heard that Tiger had improved the bases on them but hadn't spoken to anyone who's actually used it, good to hear that they've done something about them because the weird vinyl kinda pattern burned me hard and I hadn't looked at them since 🤣 thanks for the heads up, will check it out
Idea which one exactly? As per usual, Esp. Tiger label 10 pads "Grandmaster" and all have different surfaces. Extremely confusing unless you point a specific one.
@@3ildcard long and ling have the updated sbr base that lays flat and is humidity resistant and those are the ones i'm talking about. however if you aren't a fan of the designs, the grandmaster with pink stitching is black and has a normal rubber base.
holy shit, this video's absolutely insane. best mousepad roundup ove watched, together with the artisan video. (except boardzys 2022 mousepad list, ofc)
Honestly after just using the ikea pad and seeing the difference with the old xxl cheap mousepad I had, I would advise anyone who wants to get serious about gaming to get a « real » mousepad. To think that I used to think that those aliexpress or Titanwolf deskpads were « good enough » no they are NOT
The Vaxee PA Black is the QcK Heavy 2.0 that I've always been looking for. The static to dynamic friction is absolutely perfect, coming from the Radar where it was inverted. I have to say this is ridiculous for the price you are paying. I am glad they discontinued the PB and gave us this! Now if only it would come with stitched edges!!! The Ikea pad is great as well if you want something even faster.
PA black is a goated control surface tbh, I think of it as the IKEA pad "pro" being a slightly softer base and larger footprint. I don't mind no stitching personally as it wont irritate my delicate forearm then 😬
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews I agree, it's a damn good pad. I definitely see it as a higher quality IKEA pad no doubt about it. I'll see how it is over time, I didn't have issues with the non-stitched QcK Heavy either so I should be good! BTW man keep those videos coming, you are very entertaining and I love the insight you give!!
Appreciate that! I'll keep trying to do my best to entertain and inform! Yeah durability on Vaxee pads has never been an issue afaik, even the OG Zygen and Outset PA designs are still going strong for me
Just bought the ikea pad yesterday and I'm honestly impressed. I used to have one of those shit xxl pads and in comparison it feels like mud, it was atrocious to track in aimlabs with it and damn, I wonder how I was able to play Overwatch with that stuff before I genuinely don't understand how people can call it a « control » pad, it's much faster than I thought. So now, I just wonder what a hien would feel like ... still waiting for reviews on the aqua control pro neon in order to make a definite choice on it or a hien (isn't available right now sadly ...), I wonder how much it'll be different. This ikea pad is crazy
Nice video! I ordered the Classic Raiden some weeks ago - should get here soon. Actually I like the non-stitched edges on the Zero Classic, so I had to go for this.
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews Yea I've been enjoying control pads for SO long but recently started grinding OW2 and found my love for speed pads again. Currently maining the Vancer ICE with the HSK+... Waiting for that new HSK Pro man! Should ship out very soon afaik.
Oh nice! I'm on that OW grind again too, where you placed and what you main!? If it's Sojourn we can't be friend anymore 🤣 Yeah HSK Pro looks to be all sorts of special
It's surprisingly close to an Otsu, though the 3mm base is firm so it's really a comparable for the Otsu mid (unless xraypad have started offering it in 4mm too?)
I never had any artisan mousepad before but ikea lanesplare it's really good pad to be honest but i prefer low static friction and high dynamic friction, my exprience ikea pad it's high static and low dynamic for me. I had little bit hard when micro adjust when moving my crosshair to the head and need control too because when i flick it's kinda over aim but need easy switching target. Before i had ikea pad it was razer strider, but i don't really like when play fps game like csgo or valorant when long range it's like tiny head, when aiming headshot level it's uncontrolled for me , but it's easy switching target when close or medium range, i don't have problem with heavy tracking game like apex. Oh i forget about the base two mousepad i mention before, really great for me it's not slippery at all on the gaming desk. I think i will consider lgg pad between satrun or venus and still don't know take which one.
suggestions to have some more lighting on your desk, can't see the edges well when they are all mostly black squares. Otherwise, thanks for the video really good to have alternative to the market giant artisan.
I think I got a bad copy of the Jupiter so never really vibed with it but I've heard good things from others. G-SR-SE is a legend, haven't tried the rouge yet, hope you enjoy it!
Interesting feedback! The ice seemed to be quite consistent but I didn't use the ace enough to get any slowdown, the clown just made me not want it on my desk 🤣
@@GoodEnoughTechReviews I think it's due to the "rainbow sheen" that was used. I've heard similar complaints with the esp tiger mousepad which has the same texture
aqua control plus is a slow pad unlike hien though.....................................................................................................
ikea pad supremacy ✊
You'll lose your Artisan Pad sponsorship with talk like that 🤜
Old man yelling at cloud moment 🤣
Cloud oldman? YELLing?!
It's kinda what I do 😉

Yoooo thank you Artisan-san your words honor me senpai 🙏😬
easily the most funny pad, mouse reviewer. I absolutely love the randomness you come up with.
Reviewing endless piles of black squares you have to try to make it fun or you'll go insane
Living in Japan, these alternative are either more expensive or harder to get than Artisan pad itself.

The AC+ is slower than the Hien, but yeah they’re not so different in terms of feel on your skin and skates.

You're missing the king of Hien type pads the Odin Infinity. The original Artisan killer and the one that started the mountain of Hien clones.
I have almost every single pad listed in this video and the Odin Infinity v2 still never leaves my desk. It's too good.
That's honestly a bit of UK bias tbh... I considered including it but Odin Gaming shipping is such a pain for non Yankees... Good call though 👍
I should've probably added it, just the $25 or so UK shipping killed the value for me as a non American 🤜
Nice video! I ordered the Classic Raiden some weeks ago - should get here soon. Actually I like the non-stitched edges on the Zero Classic, so I had to go for this.
