I bought almost this exact truck this year, except for color and engine choice (I have the diesel). On the plus side, the powertrain is fantastic. Loads of torque and my gas mileage is around 20 - 22mpg on mixed city/highway driving (much more city.) Also, the 360 camera system is awesome. In any parking space smaller than a Costco one, the camera assistance is invaluable. On the downside, after two months I started getting buzzing and rattling coming from the passenger dash. I've had it in the shop but they were not able to duplicate it it, but it's still there. It infuriates me that on a vehicle in this price range I have to deal with this QC issue. Every time I drive the truck, I get more and more aggravated with it. I'd sell it if I could avoid the bloodbath.
To think. I paid $55K for my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4 new (6.2L, FULLY loaded). And my thoughts back then, it was about $5-6,000 overpriced. Three years later, $82,000. My 2021 AT4 has been an awesome truck...ZERO issues. One quick pickup truck esp with a CAI, tune, modded exhaust, etc. A keeper...$82K for a new one is thievery for what you get.
I paid 54k 2021 at4 6.2 also loaded its amazing not letting it go also ( well if my kids let me Drive it 🤣🤣🤣) I was not a gmc guy but when I saw it I had to get it and I am not disappointed
I also bought one in 2020… just imagine what the cost will be in 2030…. Turns out my overpriced 2020 was a bargain just 4 years later… I will keep updating as it’s just the facts of life . Now get to work
GMC has a 2 year history of bad fuel censors for the Diesel truck, no replacements in the US. Purchased New 2024 Sierra 2500 HD AT4 on 10/31/23, next day check engine light came on after 163 miles. No replacement censor could be found in the US. Today is 12/2, still sitting at local dealer for replacement.
Especially if that truck is equipped with the 6.2 Liter, no excuse for anything interior wise to be manually operated other than the Glove Box and the doors.
Love your videos. I know it’s a difficult ask, but any chance you’ll do a V8 comparison video for Ram vs. Ford vs. Chevy/GMC for 2024 engines since V8 is sadly going away soon? Would love to tune into that
The AT4X is way outside my budget...but how do the AT4 hold up with city driving (3.0 vs 5.3)? My commute is a maximum of 10 miles, but is 100% city. I do some highway driving time to time but primarily suburban USA. I currently own a 2023 Tundra (8,500 mi). I love the truck, but the premature engine failures have me concerned. Dealers aren't even accepting 22/23 trades because of the issue and toyota dealerships can't sell impacted inventory until their is a fix. I bought the extended warranty because i planned to have this 15 years but not if an engine blows!
Do the 1500. I went up to a 2500 High Country from a 1500 LTZ and it was a mistake. I too don't tow anything heavy and didn't need the 2500. The 1500 rides so much better!
Beautiful truck, but insanely overpriced. Clearly not built for the working man, and GM, Ford, RAM executives can't seem to figure out why their vehicles aren't selling. It is what it is. NIce review though!
@@Billybob50119 th-cam.com/video/IYoz-E7vzkI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AUrYl270Maz1U0Lr oh at 5:45 he said he’s drove that ecoboost for over 300k km with a failed phaser 🤣 anything else?
Listen I get pricing is absurd. But I’m looking for reviews of the truck and comment sections with good discussions. Not just complaints about pricing. I get it, but if that’s it shouldn’t yall just move on?
After taxes and fees, this is about $82,500 all-in. After 20% down on the total (16.5k) you'll still have to finance 66k. Even at 0% apr over 60 months (not happening), you'd have an $1100 monthly payment. The mind boggles.
@@jameskiyabu6541 I suppose as long as there are enough people stupid enough to rent a vehicle for 36 months at $934 a month, auto manufacturers don't have anything to worry about. Lease = fleece. No thanks
My alimony payments were more than that… once I fulfilled that contract and I was pardoned … I bought a 2020 at4 for lesser payments…. And to be honest…. I like my truck 🛻 more than the previous honey badger 🦡
Stick with your current truck. These new trucks aren't worth the mortgage payment they cost. I have a 2019 at4 with a 6.2. This is no better than what I have.
I’d love to know who’s ok with a 900-1500$ car payment without a trade in. This is insanity. Love the thought of the 6.2. Nice review Ben, as always.
Tax deduction for some.
Many are not having kids, getting married, or buying homes. Basically trading in traditional aspects for cool overpriced toys.
I see people with 1200-1300/month Raptor payments and they don't last a week at the dealers.
@@cyberjay0 I guess it would be based on people’s personal choice, order of priorities. Interesting.
One of the main reasons i haven’t bought one yet….I’m trying to wrap my head around the payments 😮💨

The Duramax is king for those of us who spend a lot of time on the highway.

I would 100% lemon law it if possible. Get your money back and buy another one or get something different.
Ben Hardy is my go to for quick indepth car reviews!
my 2021 gmc elevation x31 dose not have dynamic fuel management . can they disconnect the DFM on the new trucks. the only thing bad about GM
All of the expensive stuff in a GMC and when he manually slid that sunroof cover back I almost spit my drink out laughing.
Dude I had the same experience..No panoramic & it's a manual slide back.. C'mon Maaannn!!
Especially if that truck is equipped with the 6.2 Liter, no excuse for anything interior wise to be manually operated other than the Glove Box and the doors.
RAM Really needs to start putting the spray in liner from the factory in their trucks . I notice alot you review are lacking that.
This truck is so beautiful.
So this or a loaded up f150 Tremor?
Please talk about the new Active Exhaust option! Not sure if that was the startup sound you featured here. Thanks!
If all the market is overpriced does it become the new normal? Acceptable? 😮
It’s a beautiful truck .
It will sell regardless of all the broke guys complaining about the price in the comments 🤷🏽♂️

hey @BenHardy, u need to watch a new video from Chevy. They officially announced the redesign for the Tahoe & Suburban for 2025!!!
$74,645 😂😂😂😂😂. I rather pay off my house and drive a reliable Toyota.
Is the AT4 a Light ZR2 and a Ultralight TRX? Please someone??
Hopefully this is a good one... it's the one I chose to get
What is the difference from previous models? Same design
6.2 in 2024 comes with a active exhaust. That’s all
Couple things that keep me going back to an F150: 36 gallon tank and 3.73 axle.
Funny these AT4s can only tow as much as an Expedition.
I can't decide on this right now. At4 thunderstorm gray or a anti matter blue lariat.
