I had both the 6.2 and now a 3.0 LZO on my 2023 Sierra Denali. You are so right, the 3.0 is a great everyday driver. And I LOVE the MPGs vs the 6.2. In mixed driving I avg 27mpg….and I drive fast. Only once have I missed the horsepower and that was high speed passing on a two lane road.

I've beat the crap out of this truck 25k miles and just changing oil and rotating tires.. Also did a AFM disabler. 100% reliability so far, you're gonna love this truck. Wow that’s wild. I will be interested to see how the diesel works for me because I WILL idle from time to time if I need to stop and take work calls and I will short trip it but I take super good care of my stuff maintenance-wise. @@James-t3c really idling any motor regardless of fuel isn’t ideal but with diesel you can get some fuel dilution with un-burned diesel getting past the rings and can mix with the oil. Diesels like to be under load so when it’s idling it isn’t running at peak efficiency so it’s producing more soot. @@troystuckey3532 I grew up in Buffalo and now live in Phoenix. VERY familiar with both hot and cold and have never met a single person who didn’t park within range of their house who couldn’t use their key fob to start the car 10 minutes before they left the house. It’s WAY more of a risk for someone accidentally parking the car in the garage, forgetting about the scheduled start, and accidentally killing their family than it is a useful feature. That’s just my opinion. Now it makes WAY more sense if we’re talking EV’s.
Why would you complain about something that provides a benefit to some and it is free. FordPass costs nothing. Can you say the same about the GM app? Last time I checked GM charges for the privilege to use their app to remote start.
@@troystuckey3532 Im not complaining I'm just saying that auto locking while walking away is FAR more useful than scheduled remote starts and scheduled locking at night would be far more practical with thieves door checking every neighborhood in America. I think scheduled starting is incredibly dangerous in terms of a spouse not realizing you have it enabled and moving the car into the garage. It solves for a problem that didn't exist since remote start on key fobs has been around for decades while creating new problems that are potentially fatal. In terms of apps, truth be told, the FordPass App is trash. It was great in 2021, then they updated it and removed a ton of useful features like the trailer light checking. With GM, the app is free for 3 years then it goes to $14.99 a month which is also trash BUT, I will just use the key fob to remote start my truck, and I no longer need to panic check my app to make sure I locked my doors before I fall asleep because my truck does it for me. I do NOT need an app for everything in life and my car is one of those things. This is coming from a guy who is a professional title includes "technical solutions" who lives and breathes technology. GM and Ford trucks here for 45 yrs......... leased and purchased..........business and personal use. Had great luck with all of them. Best of luck with your new Sierra Dan.
For the tailgate, you can lock out the upper gate by pressing and holding the button until the taillights flash (10-15 seconds). I use the compatible B&W hitch, but would have saved the money had I known about the lockout option. Once I install the hitch, I lockout the upper tailgate.
That is good info, I have seen the B&W hitch but I am not really interested because storing hitches on trucks long term with a locking hitch pin can lead to a seized up hitch pin. Several years ago I spent MANY hours trying to cut off a seized up hitch pin without damaging my truck and it was a NIGHTMARE. With how expensive these hitches are, I wouldn't dream of keeping one on the truck without a locking hitch pin. So with that, I will stick with my Weigh Safe hitch. The trick of locking the tailgate step is great advice, I will just have to make that part of my routine when I put the hitch on, to lock out the tailgate. One more step but if I make it part of the routine, it shouldn't be too hard to commit to memory. Thanks for the info.
Still rockin' my longbed crew cab LBZ...only 180K miles, no major issues (knock on wood) but man the interior and exterior are definitely showing its age. Gettin' a wrap on it next week as the paint is suffering tremendously. I don't need the truck anymore as I sold my 5th wheel and only have a little 20' box trailer for my RZR and 3 dirt bikes. I feel the 3.0 Duramax would fit my needs perfectly. But, struggling to get rid of the LBZ. It's a constant battle for me. I really like the look of the new 3.0 Duramax AT4 (interior and exterior). Great review!
Thanks for the great though review! I test drove one back in May. Loved it. A coworker recommended it then, but now he is back peddling because of maintenance cost because it’s getting up in miles and something to do with it going into limp mode. Great review! GMC should pay $$$ you!
Love my AT4. Upgraded my suspension with Eibach pro truck 2R and it made a world of difference in the ride. Also went with bronze fuel rims and bfg KO3. Hated having the loud droning on stock tires. New ones are dead silent.
Bought a new 18 Silverado Z71 5.3, 6-speed. 3" Fox shocks, Deaver leafs, aftermarket upper & lower control arms with cam lockers, 33" Bfg Ko2. AFM/DoD deleted with a cat-back. Oil cooler lines started weeping at the crimps (common) and the lower line failed completely, so I fabricated my own. 113k miles in 3 years on general maintenance. Lots of off/road trips to the UP. TLDR: Other than a few low-quality factory parts failing prematurely or not being sufficient for offroading from the start; it's been a great and reliable Truck.
Agreed. Driving the ‘24 LTZ Z71 with the LZ0 diesel. The engine is perfect for daily driving. The firm seats are great for my bad back (golfer). The DEF is a non issue, I don’t burn enough for it to matter. The DEF usage will go up with towing. The multi-flex tailgate is awesome.
@@Thewaldo12345 GM has a the feature already where you can lock the top part of the tailgate from coming down and smacking the hitch receiver. I think you have to hold both buttons for a certain amount of time and it will like it in place from flipping down.

Agree on all points. I have a 2023 AT4 1500 Duramax with almost 12,000 miles and it’s been great. I don’t tow anymore so I can’t comment on that aspect. I did upgrade the suspension though and I think you should consider doing what I did. I added the Bilstein 6112 coilovers and Cognito UCAs to the front along with the Bilstein 5100s in the rear. Great ride and much more capable than the Ranchos.
Enjoy your new truck, looks great! It's kinda funny I just traded a 2017 Ram 2500 CTD for a 2024 F150 XLT Powerboost. I have been in diesel pickups since 1998 (7 Cummins powered and 2 Ecodiesels) , this is the first gas truck I have ever owned and I am really enjoying it. I was a little concerned about the low RPM power with the gas/electric powertrain of the Powerboost but after running it several thousand miles off roading and pulling down hung up trees after a storm I'll have to say I am very happy with the power delivery of the F150 powerboost engine.
Yeah the Powerboost is no slouch, it's an interesting powertrain where the electric power delivers low end torque and the twin turbo V6 gives you the high end horsepower. I wish I had a better experience with my Ford but it was just a reliability nightmare for me to the point I found myself stressing over any little oddity that came up during a drive. I just couldn't trust it long term.
@@GearsGadgets I hope Ford has the Powerboost figured out by now. So far mine has been good. I took a month long trip Through Montana, Wyoming and Utah with my powerboost and put on about 5000 miles on it and a substantial amount of the miles were off road. That usually brings out problems if there are any. Time will tell. I'm sure if you let your new 3.0L Diesel fully regen when it needs to and put fresh def in it when the tank is low you won't have any real issues. The exhaust after treatment systems tend to be the most problematic with the modern diesel offerings as I'm sure you know.
If you going short distances consider putting your truck in L to shift manually which will allow you to keep your rpm's up where it can complete the reg also.
Oh thats a good idea but I haven't really had any issues just driving the truck for an extra 10 minutes when a regen kicks on. Usually it happens when I am driving far enough for the cycle to complete without any inconvenience, a few times I have had to drive around the block (large suburb block) to let it complete. Hasn't been a huge deal.
Thanks I appreciate that. I LOVE the black too but I also love being able to go through crappy car washes and don't want to deal with the swirl marks. My take is that a truck to me needs to be able to get dirty and clean quickly without fear of babying paint and white is the easiest to maintain in that regard.
My 21 F150 got stolen…I just bought that exact truck same color with 17k miles and am waiting delivery. I have been worried if I would miss some of the Ford features. I feel less worried now… I loved my F150, but wanted something different. Was worried I would compare a new Ford to my 21.. So again reason for changing brands.. But the real reason for the switch is the diesel. I have heard nothing but good things about the diesel, and I don’t need to race around. My last worry was my F150 would tow my 7500 lb trailer up any hill at any speed, it pulled like a monster. I am hoping I’m not disappointed by the towing of the AT4. The diesel is more than premium in California so that’s a drag.
The napa 12v air compressor will solve your air up problems. The I dash is a great tool for any vehicle. I think you can change your tire size with it also.
The iDash doesn't do tire size programming with the new GM vehicles on the Global B architecture. It has everything locked down to the point I hear the dealers can't even do the size changes anymore.
Hey man, great job on your videos. I found you when you had your powerboost, interesting to see you make the switch. The new truck looks great. When you do the plates underneath, I think you should do another mpg test. Would be cool to see how it affects it.
Appreciate the kind words. I think I will do another MPG test with the plates. I know trucks lose a lot of efficiency from turbulent air underneath so it will be interesting to see if smoothing it out helps matters.
I have a Silverado ZR2 with the 3.0. I'm going through the lemon law process now. A couple of things about the map. You do not need a subscription to use the map, just for data. So you can connect to your home wifi and download maps, or you can use your phone as a hotspot. Personally, like you I just use Android Auto. Just pointing out the option
so after seeing some more stuff on Ytube i’m wondering if you have the 10 speed transmission that has the OEM software that “detects excessive wear of the transmission control valve” ?
The other downside to the tailgate is when loading. I've knocked mine out of alignment on my 2500 Denali when a folk lift adjusting the pallet on the folks.
Question: would this diesel be ok to use as a daily driver? My wife drives 50 miles/day round trip to work (all highway) so the diesel mpg's seems a better route than the low mpg gas options. (We are looking at the more street friendly non off road Elevation trim.). We never had a diesel before. Can we jump in and drive it like a gas motor? If it has to regenerate, we have to sit and wait? We also live in Ohio, will the diesel fire up in our cold months? (I'm not running a wire to keep it warm) Any feedback would be soo helpful
@@na2305 I have a 2020 Z71 with 50k on it and it is my daily driver. I get 26-28mpg in the city and 36mpg on the freeway. I live in NE Ohio in the snow belt, so in the winter we get cold and we can get A LOT of snow. This is my second Babymax the first being the 2.7L in a 2017 Colorado. I have never had to plug in my block heater on either Duramax I have owned. Hope this helps!

lol I can respect the validation. I will be doing an install video on the running boards. The Banks iDash is a really easy install, I might do a video on it but it's pretty basic so I'm not sure if there is enough there to make a video on. I do think both upgrades are great though. The running board video should be coming in the next week or so.
Awesome review, just what I was looking for, thanks! Do you have an affiliate link for the Diesel Kleen to try and help you out? What app are you using to track fuel economy?
@@ltborg thanks I appreciate that. This is my affiliate link for Diesel Kleen. I’ve been buying it in these smaller bottles which is slightly more expensive but also easier to keep one in the truck at all times. The app I use for tracking fuel ups is called Fuelly, love it. www.amazon.com/dp/B09NB49BH4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have a 2023 F150 King Ranch Powerboost. It's a lease because I wanted to wait to see what interest rate were going to do. I love my truck but I have had issues with my last F150 and i'm using this time to shop for my next truck because I plan on running my next truck until it's dead. After seeing your reaction to your new truck and doing some research on the 3.0L, I think I might have to go GM. While most reviews put the GM trucks in last place it seems as though the sum of it's parts makes it a great vehicle. Also I'm worried about electrical gremlins coming up after my warranty expires with a powerboost. Seems like for the money I can get everything I want and reliability cheaper with GM than I can with the others.
@@MrGunner945 very much so. Especially since most gas trucks these days require or recommend premium fuel which is typically more expensive than diesel. So those guys who claim “my twin turbo v6 is quicker” or “my V8 has more horsepower” but are running regular fuel are cheapskates who are also wrong because those numbers are only achieved with more expensive fuel anyway.
If you look up the miata tire size calculator, you can figure out a tire size to get close to your factory size and it will have very little change on your speedometer. Off by factions of a percent. No need to recalibrate. If you really need to, you could probably have GM recalibrate your speedometer
Change oil and filter at 5k or 20% religiously and you'll be fine. Dealer ACdelco oil and filter is fine, don't waste money on the designer brands. I also change my fuel filter every 10k just because, it's cheap and easy DIY. I used to run HotShots EDT, but got extremely tired of the leaking bottles and never remembering to bring my factory cap-less funnel (I don't leave it in my truck because it stinks). The EDT did make a difference with the local discount station fuel near my home, but I've found that driving across town to Shell and getting their bio-blend without using the EDT gives me the same results. The discount fuel alone definitely produced more soot. I'm going to give Archoil a try simply because their bottle has a cap-less spout. I just want to have in case I'm on a trip and have to get some unknown quality fuel. Otherwise I'm just sticking to the Shell for my regular fill-ups.
I have been running Diesel Kleen in mine, haven't tried any other additives yet. That is good advice on the oil changes and fuel filters. I plan on keeping up on that stuff. I was usually pretty good about oil changes in vehicles before but never really stressed about the oil life getting closer to 0%. I think with the diesel I will be far more intentional with frequency as you said which isn't really a big deal. Appreciate the insight.
Hey bud, if you hold the button on the tailgate for 3 seconds, he will deactivate so you don’t have to hit the tailgate with your hitch just a reminder because I have the same truck you have
you think the eco boost would have been different if your truck wasn’t the power boost. I get it’s the same power train, but adding that electric motor is what’s different. Do you think a normal ecoboost would have been a good truck
Its possible although one of the issues I had with the Powerboost was a defective EGR cooler which I believe is still part of the Ecoboost so it may have still happened on an Ecoboost as well so who knows. I do love the Ecoboost powertrain in terms of power and did get used to not having a V8 but one thing I will say is getting a little more deep "truck" sound out of this inline 6 duramax has been appreciated.
I have a 2015 6.2 chevy, great power. Sucks the fuel but one thing with it is the fuel management system. It fails, can chip it and shut it off but it will still fail. Will probably have someone delete it since its out of warranty but to do it right it be 5-6k. With that diesel only thing im scared of is the oil pump belt. Have heard some duramax 3.0 burning exsessive amount def and oil in the first gen durmax but there is a service bulletin for it to fix it and its not bad to do so.
@daniejw This is what I'm doing. Using my cellphones hotspot as a datasource for the truck I still have access to in in built Google maps, Google Assistant, off line maps and the speed limit sign in the HUD. The only downside is I get a message on the infotainment screen to enroll in a data plan every time I start the truck
That is a good idea, but with Apple CarPlay, I am not entirely sure what value having my truck connected to data really has anyhow. I think the Google Maps are super clean and I love the integration of Google, but with CarPlay and Android Auto, I am just not sure if there is a real need for any of it.
I was unaware it could display a tire size adjusted speed but you are correct that it wouldn't correct the truck and therefore the odometer would also be off as well.
I have a buddy who I’ve sent your videos to before tell me to RUN from GM because apparently there’s a TON of people having problems. He said his truck has been into Chevy 13 weeks this year, less than 12k miles. Are you worried about having those issues as well?
I am worried with every brand anymore because I think they are all indiscriminately atrocious at taking care of customers and fixing problems but in terms of this truck, no I’m not worried until I have a reason to be. As a TH-camr you could put out a positive video about an interaction you had with the Pope and you will inherently draw the eyes and a comment from the guy who he was a jerk to in middle school. All of these brands have horror stories.
I watched all his old videos on his 2015 GMC "my truck won't stop shaking" and thought long and hard before buying my 2018 z71 Crew cab 6.2 Sierra SLT. My truck has had zero issues and has been great. It's just the luck of the draw.
@@GearsGadgets Yes, first a gen code P0172 ended up being a bad lower nox sensor. Second time P22B6, P2627 & P2C63 -> not sure yet at this time, went in on Friday, seems emissions related again. My guess a pinched harness from fixing the first? Literally drove home, to the store and threw the code at less than 80 miles from getting it back. I did spot some oil on the underside of the air duct from the filter past the MAF sensor, maybe a leaking PCV? Not sure if its related or not. Rest of the bay is dry as a bone.
They read the notes from my oil find, seems to be a leaking intake manifold, on back order and could take 3 weeks plus. They say it should be fine to drive :/ they were about to put another nox sensor in it
Premium fuel is recommended which to me meant not required so I’ve been using regular unleaded (87) since I bought my AT 4. I have 10k miles and no issues. I asked my dealer if using 87 octane would affect my warranty and they said no. Anybody else doing what I’m doing? Mine is the 6.2L V8 btw
I'd be curious about seat comfort after 2-4hr road trip, or even 10-12 hrs. Those are typical lengths I'm in a vehicle for when traveling. Even my daily commute is 45 minutes.
Same here, granted I have a 21 GMC 2500 AT4 but I’m pretty sure they’re the same seats. Several 8-12 hour road trips, never had any discomfort. Wife or kids haven’t complained either.
I have two. 45K on my work truck and my wife has a Yukon with 25k that we use for family road trips. I have a brand new F350 King Ranch with their upgraded seats. The GMC seats are better and I am a Ford guy. I love these new GMCs and wish I would have bought a new GMC 3500.
GM does something no other truck or car manufacturer does [AFAIK]... they have like 13 different part numbers for those center-dash switch panels. Based on the option packages selected when the truck is ordered, any number of switch configurations can be there - and they don't ever leave you with a blank! I love that... as someone who buys fairly fully-loaded vehicles, I hate blank panels.
@@GearsGadgets I know, right? I once test-drove a Mazda CX-9. I told the salesman, "grab me a fully-loaded model" and went for a test drive. Didn't make it far. I realized that the steering wheel button surrounds were symmetrical in shape, but one side had a blank. And not just a blank area, but a place for a button that was blank. I asked if there was a missing option... nope. Turned around, went back - didn't want to be constantly wondering what I didn't receive :D
I have a 2021 Ram 2500 and I used alpha ODB to calibrate my speedo for larger tires. Does that not work for GM? If so, good to know. I won't be buying a GM truck.
I don’t care for the digital rear view. It bothers my eyes to go from looking out the windshield to up close to the mirror screen. With the regular mirror it has the same depth as looking out the window.
We have the same truck with the exception that it is a 2020 with the LM2. There is almost 103K miles on it so far and I have never put "top tier" fuel in it nor do I add an additive. Still have 17K on the warranty so we'll see if there is a long term affect... They get great mileage but I have noticed, if there is a slight head wind, it'll greatly impact it. The seats or your butt breaks in around the 40 to 50k mile range...
Great information, thats some solid reliability with no additives. I was slightly worried about what I hear is inconsistent quality in terms of diesel but I also am aware some of that is just fear of the newness. Do you use the same gas station or a preferred brand for refuel or just wherever?
@@GearsGadgets for the most part we use a couple different stations. So far so good though. I also push my oil changes to what the computer says, we do mostly highway mixed with some heavy city driving, also, so far so good. Change the fuel filter and air filter when the computer says as well. We also live here in the Phoenix valley, west side.
1500 mile review, I think that’s considered long term for the latest gen GM trucks. If you want quality the closest truck to that right now is the Coyote 5.0 but that said no new trucks are great. High price, low value, the 3.0 Duramax will show its true colours yet.
Coming from the Ford, I had SO many issues with quality and a transmission replacement at 30,000 miles that I couldn't care less how great the 5.0 is. The way Ford handles their warranty repair work is so lazy I got really tired of paying a lot for a truck that lived at Ford Service. I did plenty of research on these 3.0 LZ0 Duramax motors and I have yet to find ANYONE reporting any serious issues aside from some oil consumption during break-in (I haven't experienced it) so if you could provide some details, it would be appreciated. If I have any issues with the Duramax, I will share the same way I did with my Ford because I have no brand loyalty with trucks these days.
The Rams are super nice, I’m a little worried about some of the direction Stellantis has been taking otherwise I might have taken a more serious look at the brand.
@@GearsGadgets I haven't heard anything about the mothership's direction, but I've also had my truck over 5 years. A couple of little issues, but she runs good :D And it's paid off... so, yeah, it's hard to fork over money at this point.
Why would you not load a motorcycle in your truck? I load dirtbikes in my lariat powerboost 5.5' bed all the time corner to corner tailgate closed tiedowns to footpegs
I HATE autolock, i dont have house keys, i have kids, constantly locked out would be terrible. If I can't figure out how shut off then you've convinced me to NOT get it. And schedule autostart not available, that sucks. When it's negative 5 degrees that would be soooo nice. Hope can auto schedule block heater, otherwise use outlet timer I guess. So back to back super disagree.
Buying a truck, will be under carportcoldnter in Maine cold early. Work is same time commute. Insane to say happy not option. Then my biggest pet peeve, I'd rather have modded to individual manual locks only...in country with kids...locked doors are most common irritant around vehicles. Heck I'd rather permanently disabled locks.
I am not sure I agree with the unreliability thing, I think unreliability comes from lack of QA/QC more than it does tech. Touchscreen radios began becoming more common in cars around the late 2000's and you would hear a ton of "thats going to break" and over 20 years later, I have never known someone who had to replace broken hardware. NOW that said, my 2021 F-150 had an APIM failure which impacted the display but it was replaced under warranty and was fine. That to me is more of a quality control issue than it is a longevity or reliability issue. I think the AT4 trim has all of the tech I want, and none that I don't. A real sweet spot for me.
You can go back and watch my videos on the Ford with similar stories and the truck being in the dealership for over 60 days in a row. Unfortunately when you draw a lemon, it's miserable regardless of manufacturer. They all seem totally inept at handling lemons and the experience is BRUTAL. I learned never say never in terms of returning to a brand because I have now owned two lemons, one GMC (yes that is correct, I came back), and my Ford. There are a TON of current Toyota Tundra lemon stories out there predated by their recall to replace 100% of the new V6's on the market. If you say "I will never go back" you might just run out of options. Now in terms of the short tripping, it hasn't been a problem because anytime a regen kicks on, I just drive it until it ends. It takes 12 minutes MAX, I have had them complete in less than 10 minutes. It could and would be a problem for me if I didn't have an iDash to let me know when it was occurring so with the iDash, I shouldn't ever run into an issue of incomplete regeneration cycles clogging the DPF.
I don’t care for the digital rear view. It bothers my eyes to go from looking out the windshield to up close to the mirror screen. With the regular mirror it has the same depth as looking out the window.
It certainly had a little adjustment period to get used to it being a screen vs a mirror but I made the adjustment within minutes and now I don't even notice it being "different" but the value of having a clear view of what is behind you without having passengers, cargo, or mirror adjustments impacting line of sight is REALLY nice. Thats just my opinion, my wife isn't a fan.

What’s wrong with idling the diesel?

These are of course just opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs BUT I think I would prefer smarter engineered products that eliminate the need altogether for one more app on my phone that is desperately seeking attention and personal data to sell.
Fair enough.

Best video on the AT4 I’ve seen so far. Thank you
Bought a new 18 Silverado Z71 5.3, 6-speed.

Awesome, thank you!
GM should put a switch in the hitch receiver that locks out the step portion of the tailgate to avoid it hitting the hitch.
I know there is an aftermarket solution for that but I am not sure of any GM accessories for it. I agree though.
@@Thewaldo12345 GM has a the feature already where you can lock the top part of the tailgate from coming down and smacking the hitch receiver. I think you have to hold both buttons for a certain amount of time and it will like it in place from flipping down.

B&W makes a hitch that works with that tail gate it’s not cheap but a must have I love the hitch and the tailgate !!

My 2022 powerboost is at 15k miles with no issues. 🤞hoping it stays that way. Towes my 9k camper like a dream.
I saw you sent Roman Atwood some stuff to clean his Laundry Mat. YOu just got a subscription.
Excellent review the camera view for off road is something I didn’t know and the white is growing on me between that and the black
They pull good , you'll be fine. They do use some DEF when pulling though.

I used the scheduled remote starts on my F150 everyday in the winter. I leave for the gym same time every day, scheduled remote start is great
so after seeing some more stuff on Ytube i’m wondering if you have the 10 speed transmission that has the OEM software that “detects excessive wear of the transmission control valve” ?
(I'm not running a wire to keep it warm)
Any feedback would be soo helpful

I have the same truck and my last 2 F-150s 2022 and 2023 were both lemons and repurchased by FORD
I’m still trying to figure out that price? Are the prices finally coming down?
Would you say the mpg increase offsets the price of diesel?
@@MrGunner945 very much so. Especially since most gas trucks these days require or recommend premium fuel which is typically more expensive than diesel. So those guys who claim “my twin turbo v6 is quicker” or “my V8 has more horsepower” but are running regular fuel are cheapskates who are also wrong because those numbers are only achieved with more expensive fuel anyway.
Greetings how well will this truck do with like a 6” level lift and 22x14 wheels with 305/40/22
If you look up the miata tire size calculator, you can figure out a tire size to get close to your factory size and it will have very little change on your speedometer. Off by factions of a percent. No need to recalibrate. If you really need to, you could probably have GM recalibrate your speedometer
I was reading that GM won't even recalibrate these new Global B Architecture trucks
Just to clarify - there is no regen indicator? The only way to know is to install a gauge yourself?
Wait if you go to Mobil/citgo/sunnoco etc. They claim they put additives just as good. Is this not true as long as not some private agi pump???
I was not aware of an option to have a panoramic roof on any Sierra’s. I did see that in this video right?
Hey bud, if you hold the button on the tailgate for 3 seconds, he will deactivate so you don’t have to hit the tailgate with your hitch just a reminder because I have the same truck you have
But if it deactivates, then I can't use the step when the hitch is not installed?
you think the eco boost would have been different if your truck wasn’t the power boost.
I'm interested in one of these pickups and I'd love to see someone try an aeroleaf suspension.

Connect your phone as a hotspot for the truck’s (Wi-Fi) data to use the google features.
@GearsGadgets the advantage for me is the speed limit sign in the HUD and the DIC.

Pretty sure with a Banks IDash you can change the tire size for speed correction. Also the iDash is a great tool with the 3.0.
@@danquenell the iDash is not a programmer. You can display the speed on the iDash and have it adjust for tire size on the iDash only.

Based on the option packages selected when the truck is ordered, any number of switch configurations can be there - and they don't ever leave you with a blank!
You can disable the auto lock in the screen settings
Just use ur phone’s hotspot to use google maps
lol ive taken my 2010 honda accord further off road
@@Fahim-il7wz I love these comments. You’re a tough guy. Trophy is in the mail.
Not a fan of new trucks/cars. All the tech make them more of a pain and unreliable.
My current 2020 Chevrolet LTZ L5P is a LEMON. 52 codes since new, broke down in 7 states.
@@GearsGadgets Understood, wish you the best it is a nice looking truck.
They screw up the diesels with this nonsense
With what nonsense?
Thats alot of add ons....
Junk
@@jamesmoore2007 what do you recommend
@@GearsGadgets he's just jealous because he's still driving his mommies Honda Civic! 💯
Pretty sure with a Banks IDash you can change the tire size for speed correction. Also the iDash is a great tool for the 3.0.
Not with these new Global B architecture ECU's
I don’t care for the digital rear view. It bothers my eyes to go from looking out the windshield to up close to the mirror screen. With the regular mirror it has the same depth as looking out the window.
It certainly had a little adjustment period to get used to it being a screen vs a mirror but I made the adjustment within minutes and now I don't even notice it being "different" but the value of having a clear view of what is behind you without having passengers, cargo, or mirror adjustments impacting line of sight is REALLY nice. Thats just my opinion, my wife isn't a fan.
