Just wanted to say - thanks for the inspiration. Traci's use of multi-colored stripes gave me the confidence to complete my Promenade Blouse by using matching stripes to the speckled yarn I had used. I had grossly miscalculated how much yarn I needed so when I ran out of the speckled yarn it would have been super cropped. I had stash yarn that matched some of the speckled colors so I was able to complete the sweater and I've gotten soooo many compliments on my use of speckle and solid stripes. Thanks Traci!!
This is the first time I have watched you both, I must have been hiding under a rock. I think I’m your sister the one you didn’t know about the sweater that Tracie you are knitting is absolutely beautiful. I will definitely be watching again.🥰
I’ve knit 9 Ranunculi, in all types of fibers, from cotton to merino fingering with mohair, and also linen! I’ve given away three to my daughter and daughter in law. It’s my palate cleanser, and actually have knit it in 2-3 days! Love you girls! 💕
You ladies make me want to knit all the sweaters! Unfortunately, I can barely knit, I'm a crocheter. But I think to myself all the time, if I could knit, I would have all matching sweaters and socks. You brought me so much joy with those socks Tracie!!
My jaw dropped and I actually cried seeing your current WIP Tracie! The Misurina 😍😍😍😍🥲🥲🥲 such a beautiful knit and your creativity to bring the colour changing yarn 🧶 Just WOW 🎉 love Jodi’s reaction 😂 You girls are so much fun. Have an awesome time on your trip 😊😊
Tracie I love love love your sweater. Those bright stripes are everything. Ugh!!!!!! Those FGF yarns!!!!! I want them all. All those brights and neons. I need Wonderland and all four solids you paired with it. Enjoy your retreat!
Thanks for the episode. Tracie Keep in mind when you are knitting your Pressed Flowers you will probably need to do Spincycle maintenance on the sleeve if you want them to match. My Spincycle skeins were all so different so this was a bit of a pain trying to match the sleeves. In the cardigan pattern, the directions were not very thorough but memorizing the pattern was very easy.
As an American it's funny to me that people want to visit here for heir bucket list. LOL Don't get me wrong I am a PROUD American from an Army family! Come visit St. Louis we can do lunch and go to the Arch!
You girls are such enablers!! I've got the Neon green "make it tweed" on the way now to make one of my stash yarns come alive. And your Frankie Gray combos are gonna be next💗
Right now I'm knitting my 8th Ranunculus. They are all different. This one is held double with Knit Picks Capretta, merino, cashmere in the white. And the second yarn is Canon Hand Dyes in their Naked Oscar sparkle. Which is natural white with sparkle. Using a size 10 needles. Day 2 and I'm through the yoke. Maybe done in 4 days. So far, looking good. Your sweaters are both beautiful. They always are.
You get coffee and a sofa in your local wool shop?! I'd mive in! 😂 Here in UK we are just happy to find a wool shop. They are rare! They used to exist in every village and even as late as 1990s I remember being able to "put wool by" so you could buy a few balls a week (mostly 25g balls). ❤❤❤
I was surprised there were not more yarn shops in the UK, after visiting recently, especially Scotland. Here in NZ we don’t have many either, most have closed as more people buy yarn online, so sad no personal touch anymore 😞
Wow the flower wip is amazing I’m so inspired you are a truly talented knitter. I’d be so proud of myself. If I were you, I’d wear that sweater every day all day.
Hey Ladies; Loving the podcast. It's one hour into the podcast and you are talking about your sock machine. My daughter-in-law's Mother finishes the whole sock on the machine! She can turn the heel and just has to do a little Kitchnering on the toe. Amazing!!!!! Thankfully, she is very generous and I am the happy recipient of a few pair of her socks!
Hmmm…now I need to decide whether I should stick to my plan and knit a Love Note first or go with a Ranunculus. Picking up some mohair on LYS Day on Saturday to use for one of them. I’ll just let the yarn decide!
