Wait until your oldest child is going to 61!!!!!! I'm sure I'm ot old enough to have a child that age but I'm 81 so you have a long way to go girls!!! Keep up the good work, I love it
Wow Jodie! You are really knocking it out of the park with Frankie Gray Fibers! Amazing!!! Thanks ladies for the big plug! I really appreciate it!! Happy knitting (and packing 😉)!
I know you have mentioned many times how surprised you are about how far you reach throughout the globe; but I have to wonder if you really know how much people look forward to spending time with the two of you. I just enjoy each episode so much and all of the things you share from personal, to books, to movies, to tv shows, your whips and finished objects and all things knitting and beyond. Not sure if I’ll make it to six weeks from now but can’t wait to hear all about your trip to Ireland and see what you bring back with you. Enjoy your vacations girls! 🥰
I'm so excited because I'm starting my very first sweater, inspired by the Grocery Girls. I have been knitting since 2008 and tried a sweater and failed and haven't had the courage to pick it up again. And I'm going to Iceland in May so I must have it ready by then. It's the Serpentine Sweater by SuviKnits. Again, thank you ladies for giving me the courage to try again.
Happy happy 200 episodes and THANK YOU for the sock machine knitting shout-out!! It's so much fun, and you're right - it's a craft all its own. (Crank-ins are a blast! Let's do a crank-in, somewhere, somehow!)
WOW‼️. 200 episodes…. No wonder I feel like my friends have stopped by. 💛. You have so much exciting content in every show, I can’t possibly do everything I would love to do. So happy that you are all getting to travel to Ireland. This was so fun to watch. .Thanks.
Congrats on 200 episodes!! I cannot wait for Knit City Calgary. 😱 The Frankie Grey Fibres gals are hitting it out of the park! Cannot wait to see all your amazing yarns in person ❤❤
Love this episode! Thx so much. I met my husband online 20 years ago, my family was so nervous and thought I was crazy. It was a fast and lasting love!! One of the best choices in my life. 🥰
Another very satisfying episode. I saw the Toni L episode with her mom when they talked about unpopular ideas and opinions in the fiber-crafting world, and it was fabulous, so I am glad you mentioned it! Your discussion of color choice was also interesting and I completely agree with Jodie, that it is most important to choose colors you can see yourself in, that you will almost definitely wear. I think that is why I tend to do more neutral colors for the main color of garments but use the bright pops of color for accents or for accessories (like the major sock phase I am on now). Anyway, I appreciate how much you cover in your episodes and love the channel. Thank you!
My cousin is an Oscar winner, and the "peers" who cast the votes are the former Oscar winners in that category. In today's day and age, the peers can of course watch the films online, but decades ago it was impossible to go to movie theaters and watch all of the films, especially in rural areas.
Missed the live, but wanted to add a vote for the baby sweater Vertebrae. There’s a newborn and an infant. My grandbabies wore these and it’s perfect. Gender neutral colors can be mossy greens, stormy blues, rusts and oranges for Fall.
The magenta behind you would be gorgeous Tracy with the turquoise trim that is above it. I knit a jumper in chartreuse last year and I was freaking out when I bought the yarn. Ended up suiting me
Jodie I’m not sure if you suffer from anxiety, panic, depression at all but I do and it causes me to yawn. It’s a form of stress relief. I just grew my pixie hair cut out. What a struggle it is.
Totally agree Tracie - alpaca and even mohair are fabulous in cold climates. Sadly in Australia I just don’t get the opportunities to wear it as much because of our climate. I’d rather spend the time knitting fingering weight yarn so that I actually get to wear it more of the year. 💚 Love catching up with your discussions on ALL the topics 😆💚 Came back to add a comment about bottom bands. If I like the look and feel of my fabric on the smaller needle - I just add maybe one stitch for every 20 around the first round of ribbing and do it with that many more stitches on the smaller needle. Best of both worlds this way. It hangs straight and looks neat and tight. 💚
Jody, You are looking radiant today, your skin caught my eye right off. What your wearing suits you. ! I'm so excited when your podcast comes on. You two girls crack me up. So much like my sister and I. Jody I started with the skin feeling sore to the touch. and now my skin now itches on my arms and back so bad. I cant wait for this season to end. And yes we need to talk to others about these things. We need to stick together, menopausal symptoms are so random.
OMG!! Great minds think alike!! I have purchased yarn for a winter Ranunculus planed to do Bobble’s instid of the lace open work!!! Will be my 6th one.❤
I Look forward to watching you ladies, your so much fun. Jodi I love the sweater you are wearing, I have never knitted a sweater, and after watching this, am thinking about doing one . But by the time I decided this, I could not remember the name nor find where you said it. Is this an easy enough one for a new sweater knitter😅? I also love the yarn you used. Can you please give me the name of the pattern and the yarn again. Thanks so much.
We’re doing the same thing! I’m going to Ireland 4/9-4/20 for a knit tour and classes and my husband is coming too to golf. We did this Scotland about 6 years ago too!
You girls totally GIGGLE ME! I love that you have projects you just wanted to work on and wear. I’m leaving for a 1 month trip from Maine to Idaho on Friday, I have 6” of sleeve left on a sweater I MUST WEAR. I’m gonna have to stay up and catch up on TH-cam knitting channels and finish so I can block. 😀. PS - my daughter literally got back from Dublin today, she had such an amazing trip. Can’t wait to hear about yours.
If you’re going to Cork, go to Stolen Stitches as well. Carol Feller is an amazing designer with her own yarn lines that are to die for…. Her newest is Deas and is unbelievable……
Hooray for the looser ribbing club! I don't like it when the bottom band of any sweater gets too snug. I'm so jealous of all your wool, cashmere, and alpaca sweaters. I'm in Texas and it's going to be 84 degrees Fahrenheit / 29C today. Last week it hit 89F/31.67C. I'm already wearing t-shirts every day.
When on hols in Ireland get the hubbies to go golfing at Rosepenna Golf Course Downings Donegal. Then you can visit Studio Donegal while they are on the course. Also McNutts in Downings. I'm from Donegal so enjoy Ireland wherever it may take you.
I adore you two! Your cheerful banter is so refreshing, and I love those accents! Tracy, can you tell me the brand of your glasses? I have been trying to find some like that but no go.
Howdy! Love your show and those beautiful colors of the Lento sweater. Frankie Grey Fibres Fingering + Majestic Fluff. For some reason I can't locate the yarn on the site. Love those colors. Looking forward to next week.
Happy 200th Episode, have loved them all, have not ever missed one. ❤ You are both gorgeous in your knits. Tracie, have you tried the alternating cable cast on for your collar in 1x1 rib ('m sure you can also use it for 2x2 as well), I have heard folks raving about it and saying that will be their go to cast on from now on. Wishing you all a safe and happy holiday ☘. 🤗
I went through surgical menopause at age 34, and my 60th birthday was yesterday. I remember the personal summers (freezing everyone else in the house to death), and I also had the touch sensitivity, Jodi. The brain fog is also a blast (not!). I feel for y'all.
I love that I found this comment ❤️ I'm 38 and last year I had my surgery so I've been in surgical menopause for a year now. My hormone patches help a bit, but yep, I freeze everyone else out at my house 😂😂😂
I love the sweater and the color looks great on you. Do you think you will make a Ravelry project page with the changes you made to the pattern? I love the look and haven't knitted a sweater before but would love to give this a try. Thanks!
I just returned from Hill Country Weaver's retreat. It was great! (And my first time.) I took all of my classes from OlgaJazzy, and she was really good. I highly recommend!
about wool in Ireland : the only original Irish wool is Galway, you can see a wonderfull interview about this wool on the woollymamothfibre podcast by emma robinson
I live in the Northeast of USA. For the first time in 14 years, we have gotten water in our basement. Unfortunately that is where my sister and I store our yarn stashes and off season project bags. Here's hoping that the expensive plastic crates from the Container store that are advertised as water tight/air tight, really are. Congratulations on 200 episodes.
I think it is a great idea to educate boys about the female issues we women suffer, and may be this guys girlfriend has not been educated or told about what is going on with her body. I also think that saying of “what goes on behind a bedroom door stays behind the bedroom door,” is so wrong. If we can teach our kids to talk about this issue maybe there will be one more rapist behind bars. And those kids will not repeat this cycle.
Wait until your oldest child is going to 61!!!!!! I'm sure I'm ot old enough to have a child that age but I'm 81 so you have a long way to go girls!!! Keep up the good work, I love it

Honestly, I would now consider knitting the Ranunculus sweater now that I've seen this bobble version in that yarn weight.

Congrats on the 200th milestone🎉🎉🎉you are wished a fun filled and safe trip! Can’t wait to see all the fun fibers you bring back🧶🧶🧶
You both are great with color schemes! Have a wonderful trip and buy all the things!
The magenta behind you would be gorgeous Tracy with the turquoise trim that is above it. I knit a jumper in chartreuse last year and I was freaking out when I bought the yarn. Ended up suiting me
Congrats on 200 episodes! Jodi love your yarn! Tracie please do a Ravelry page on your sweater. It looks beautiful!!
Traci beautiful sweater! Color is just wonderful on you. (Lento). Congrats on episode #200. Jodi your yarn dying is the bees knees.
Congratulations on 200 episodes! Today (March 13) is my birthday! What a great way to spend the day with you two through TH-cam 😊

You’re totally right Tracie! That IS your colour!
So agree about Frankie Gray’s evolution - great job.
Such a great podcast ! Congrats on episode 200!!! Love this

Love cat and mice! But really like the knitted jeans!
Tracie, I really like your green sweater today. It is one of my top likes on you.

Just so you know, Carol Feller has a shop in Cork near Hedge Hog Fibres. I think her store is called Stollen Stitches.
We’re doing the same thing! I’m going to Ireland 4/9-4/20 for a knit tour and classes and my husband is coming too to golf. We did this Scotland about 6 years ago too!
I was at the Hill Country Weavers retreat this year. It’s an amazing event. Unfortunately, they said they will probably be taking a year off. 😢
Hello from Goble Oregon ! Going to be in the 70's this weekend, and I refuse to stop knitting my sweaters !!
You girls totally GIGGLE ME! I love that you have projects you just wanted to work on and wear. March birthdays! We are a family of 46 people and not one in March! I like periwinkle for babies as they all start with blue eyes.
I love the sweater and the color looks great on you. Do you think you will make a Ravelry project page with the changes you made to the pattern? I love the look and haven't knitted a sweater before but would love to give this a try. Thanks!

Traci. What size needles did you use to knit your sons DK weight sock? I knit my first t pair of DK socks and the gauge was too loose for me.
