Hi, I have a galvanised bumper which im going to paint. However it has 3 or 4 years of annual lanoguard on it. Will this method remove it well enough for a primer to stick?

Hi, yes, the Lanoguard Remover can be used to fully strip off Lanoguard when it is fully cured. Be mindful that Lanoguard Remover will remove ceramic coatings. When removing fully cured coat/s of Lanoguard, the product should be sprayed on to the area, give a simple even coating and leave it for 5 minutes to dwell to work its magic. Then jet wash it off and it will take the old Lanoguard with it. If it is a thick coat of Lanoguard or more than one coat you may need to repeat this process. Please do contact us at info@lanoguard.co.uk or give us a call on 0330 100 1959 if you would like any further information. Thanks, Jen

How does lanoguard react to heat? If welding near it on a vehicle should it be removed first with lanoguard remover?

Hi, To weld, you don’t need to do anything if it’s been treated with Lanoguard. Just weld as normal. The Lanoguard will act as an anti-splatter and weld flow. However, if you’ve treated it heavily with the thick Lanoguard grease, you’ll need to remove that. hope this helps

Hi John, although it doesn't look like it the vehicle is actually on a slight slope, and when the video was created we thought we might receive some comments about this as it seem they are in the wrong place.

Do you need to re apply every year?

    • @Lanoguard

Hi, Lanoguard has been designed for yearly/seasonal applications. It should be topped up at least once a year to ensure continuous protection. Although due to the simple application process there’s no harm in doing an Autumn & Spring application!

I applied Lanoguard including my exhaust about six weeks ago and can still smell it when the exhaust is hot? Not as bas as it was... is that usual?

Hi, When Lanoguard is applied to areas that get hot the smell does last longer. The smell is it just burning off any excess this should settle soon after a few more drives, Lanoguard does not evaporate so the protection will still be there just any excess burnt off. If the smell has not gone within a few more drives please do contact us by email - info@lanoguard.co.uk or give us a call on 0330 100 1959, so we can discuss this further and resolve it for you. hope this helps
