Used UPol D alloy powder filler for 20 plus years and more recently combined it with Dolphin Glaze .I even mix them together to get a happy medium .
I always use a onion board so the resin isn't pulled from the filler like cardboard does .

Question around Stopper. I have never had much luck with it. I know its for very small pin holes or fine scratches, but when I sand it, it always just pulls away. Applied either to body filler or bare metal scratch. What grade of grit should I be using, wet and dry? Also I leave it drying time, even if I leave it 24 it still just crumbles away after a few passes with sand paper.

    Great video man.
I would like to see a video regarding painting and touching up plastic bumpers and such.

So do you only use adhesion promoter on bare plastic and not on already painted plastic 🤔

Is it best to use two separate guns for primer and base/clear, or best to separate guns for base and clear. I only have two guns, both are the same. What size tips for each product?
Regarding plastic bumper repair, sand it-body filler-primer- base…
    Does it need adhesion promoter?
    Will sealer worth like primer?
I purchased paint, also purchased sealer, but don’t remember why

  • @btbd2785

I have a few questions for you.
In the case if adding filler over primer, you can't use self etching correct so incase it's bare metal.
    So epoxy primerbis best?
My other question is after adding primer, I was told before you add the top coat, i.e paint. Then you should always use a primer filler/sealer?
    Is this correct Dave?
    Thank you

Odd question. I am going to refinish my shower with this resin material (ekopel 2k). In a couple of sections, the gap is large (1/4") and the vendor recommended using bondo to fill in the gaps. From your video, it sounds like the fine filler may be all i need to fill in the voids, sand, and then pour the resin over the gaps. Apparently the resin bonds well with bondo.
My question to you is could I use the fine filler for voids smaller than 1/4"?

Like the videos you make, very informative. Hast that you keep touching the panels with bare hands. Sanding and touching with bare hands grinds hand oils into it. Even using wax and grease remover I wouldn't recommend touching the panel with out gloves on. Look at the first bare panel as your starting to prime. You can see what looks like a thumb print on the right side which you cover with primer. Don't get me wrong, your videos are very good just need a bit of refinement. Thanks for the videos you make.

I bought Evercoat FIB-421 -Easy Sand. What is it good for?
Need to repair rear quarter panel on 2015 4Runner. So the paint is cracked and some idiot put a gob of touch up paint on the 5inch crack. It’s also dented in, kind of a large area.
Do I need to sand to bare metal? Can I just scuff and put what I have on? Do I need primer or can I use the sealer, base and clear, since I have it for other parts, hood and fenders.

No you don’t do body filler over self etch, I recommend you to ask for the technical data sheet for every paint or product you use , I think it may depend on body filler as well I was taught to use it on bare metal

So many debates over this. Just got off the phone with Tamco they said no filler on bare metal creates heat then condensation on metal and to put over there DTM high build 5310. I do not need epoxy if car is inside all the time it will save you a lot of money just block and top coat your done and still have epoxy properties in the DTM.
