Just used lanoguard on my land rover defender only last week. having used waxoyl, dinitrol and other rustproofing products in the past, to put it bluntly i wasn't looking forward to the task. But i actually enjoyed doing it, no mess no drips a doddle to apply. probs wont be as long lasting as other products mentioned but i wont be using anything else but lanoguard in the future.

Looks like a brilliant product, I have just ordered 2 litres today. You need to advertise to the MX5 community, they are so prone to rust and also surface rust on wishbones etc.

Does this suspend any active rust, or merely protect?

Hi, Lanoguard is very good for chassis’ with existing surface rust. This is because it has been designed with this in mind and it is happy to be applied over the surface rust. The Lanoguard has a natural affinity to ferrous metals so it will bond to the metal under the surface rust and is attracted to it after seeping through the oxidation , much like a magnet. It prevents the rust from furthering due to the fact it hermetically seals the surface so no oxygen or water can get in. Hence no more rusting process can take place.
It will in time push off the oxidation too due to the products affinity to the metal. Which is a nice aesthetics side benefit. And close up jet-washing a month or two after application helps to remove any of this pushed off oxidation. Hope this answers your question

Can u put it on top of kurust rust converter made by hamerite

Hi, Yes, Lanoguard is generally inert and doesn’t disturb any existing coatings on your vehicle. All that said, it is important to ensure that any existing coating is stable, adhered well and isn't cracked. If the surface you apply Lanoguard too is any of these things, then it is possible that parts /chips/bits of the existing surface coating could come off taking the Lanoguard with it. It is advisable to ensure it is sound first and once applied, a month later, check that the surface is still solid and nothing is exposed. If you notice any spots where you missed or where existing old coating has come away, then you can simply spray over that area again. I hope this answers your question

Way too expensive for what it is

Hi, Sorry you feel that way. The price is reflected by the features of Lanoguard really. Its ease of use, quick application, minimal prep (including no masking up), resistance to jet washing, non conductive, non-flammable and its ability to really "creep" around the underbody. We source our high-grade ingredients from the UK and is manufactured by us, a family run UK business. A little Lanoguard also goes a long way compared to some competitor products, vehicles such as a Land Rover or Pick Up would only use about 1.5L of our Moto Spray. Our application methods are designed to get maximum coverage with little product and cause minimal mess. After the first application future applications are more of a top up, check areas that may need a bit more protection and due to the ease and quick application topping up is simple. Lanoguard won’t convert existing rust per se, instead it will arrest and completely stop its further development. This is due to Lanoguard natural attraction to ferrous metal. It seeps and creeps underneath surface rust and create a hermetic seal to the metal below, stopping oxygen and water getting in. Lanoguard is self-healing and does not dry like paint that can peel and flake off over time. It is constantly creeping, remaining active to continuously repel moisture and keep it away from the metal surface Additionally, a side benefit of Lanoguard’s hermetically sealing ability is that over time it will push any existing oxidation off. As a result of all this, the surface you apply it to, ends up looking a little better too, over time, and overall darkened down in colour. If you would like any further information, we sure to ask we are always here to help.
