    I ended up going with Morimoto instead of the AlphaRex Nova mostly because of the higher quality "low beam" pattern AND the price (Tacoma Lifestyle had a $100 off Morimoto's Sale). I do wish the Morimoto's had the sequential DRLs like the Novas do

    Brighter not necessarily better. Gotta drive with them. I’d definitely go Morimoto.

    Alpha rex 2 year warranty for headlights that you can't change the bulb on is pathetic.

    So this was a very good video. For me I would like to see this at the distance you shot at then at 50’, 100’, 150’, then and f I can be selfish I’d like to have it done on a Toyota Tundra and add one more model that is something I found called an “Alpharex all LED” which looks like an older nova model but is much cheaper than current nova and xb models. Similar in price to the Vland and well if you really want to complete the comparisons then add in the vland models which look like the nova models but are again much cheaper.

      Thank you. I will have more in depth videos when we get situated into the new shop instead of my garage haha. Can you send me the link to the headlights you are referring to?

    The problem is these are still Chinese/Taiwanese crap that fades, condensates, and blows bulbs.

    • @Briebabcock8052
      @Briebabcock8052 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Luxx and Nova don't have bulbs, and no, they aren't cheap Chinese crap. I had the Luxx series for five years in my old Dodge Ram before getting totaled cause I was rear-ended, and I didn't have an issue with them save for one low beam didn't have a hot spot and after I called them, sent pictures and whatnot, they overnighted me a new headlight and I sent back the faulty one.

    One more thing!!! After you do all of these shoot separate night time real driving on country roads concerning for deer eyes on the sides of the road and overall distance vs overall width. And if possible discuss replacement of bulbs, overall seals of units for water/condensation, warranty’s etc…

    • @Square1offroad
      @Square1offroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      I do believe I discussed warranties and if bulbs were or were not replaceable! Which all of these do not allow you to replace any bulbs besides alpharex pros or morimoto turn signal bulbs. The rest are full led!

    Thanks for the great and thorough video. I own a 2012 tundra and have been considering upgrading my stock headlights. Really happy that this came across my “suggestions to watch”

    I got the black alpha nova for my 2010 tacoma, but they only lasted 27 months, and then the driver side failed, and I don't really want to spend another grand on something that isn't going to last.

    • @Briebabcock8052
      @Briebabcock8052 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To be homest, I had the Luxx series in my 05 dodge ram 2500 5.9 cummins before she was totaled (I was rear ended) and I had those lights for five years and after an initial hick-up of one low beam not having its hotspot upon arrival, they replaced it very quickly and I never had an issue with the lights again. So maybe reach out to alpharex and try to get it replaced. People say their customer service is shit, I say, its customer service, and its gunna suck at times.

  • @ageveshausen0001

    Great video, thanks for posting. To make sure i understand, are you saying the Alpharex LUXX LED bulb cannot be replaced and if it goes out you have to replace the entire headlamp? Also if the Pro series is made for halogen bulbs and you upgrade to LED won't that scatter light since the headlamp is made for reflecting halogen light?

    • @Square1offroad
      @Square1offroad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Correct the luxx has an led chips. Not replaceable. The pro series are not reflector headlights, they are projectors. You are fine to put in an led bulb, as the lights project, not reflect. But, most led bulbs suck in these headlights, you need the ones I tested if you want solid output. Everything is available on our site!

  • @msimms37
    @msimms37 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Did you ever test the pros with the better led bulb you suggested? I've read some people lose their turn signal or get hyperflash when using led in the pros. Any feedback?

      @Square1offroad  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We have tons of people running these LEDs in the pros with 0 issues.

    Hello. Can you compare Alpha rex nova for gx460 2020 vs morimoto xb?

    • @Square1offroad
      @Square1offroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      Morimoto doesn’t make an assembly for those! Just alpharex. And they’re great. They look good, are bright, and have a 2 year warranty!
