Derrick is a great example of how to navigate the League, regardless of any given situation. Injuries derailed him from remaining a Bull for a longer period of time. However all his experiences molded him into the person we all see today….Kudos to Derrick for staying strong thru all adversities!!!
It's so wild to think his jersey is going to be up there wit mike n co., shits better than a championship banner , that man embodies everything that is Chicago, so well deserved!!!
I used to see Derrick every Wednesday @Spybar around 2012. Real good guy, he even offered my girl to sit at his section cause he saw her standing at the bar
Now it gets Joakim Noah like a gas station pumping gas I want to see Derrick Rose running on Lakeshore drive you can see Derrick Rose driving his ghost white Platinum down Michigan avenue Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah worm actually Chicago bulls players that actually lived and did things in the Chicagoland area❤

Salute to D Rose,,one of the best pure natural mind blowing NBA talents that I've ever seen,,and he has always carried himself in a genuine,,dignified,,honorable,,respectable,,humble fashion on and off the court...🎖🏆🏀🪁🎺🥁🎷🛡⚓🛶✈🪂🌟🎨🎯🎁🎁🎁🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹💯💯💯❤💥💫💣👊🏿👏🏿🙏🏿...
I think pre injury rose had a edge on Kyrie but it's close! Rose truly didn't get to have a prime where his athletic peak matched his highest level of understanding the game. We all know it's "what if", but if rose would of been able to hit his peak without significant injury, nba history would be likely much different...
@@warogore it doesn't matter that he didn't win a ring, not all legends have rings...he's a legend in the city of Chicago, and if you're not from Chicago, don't worry about it, mind your own. If you're actually interested in "why he's a legend in Chicago?", then its because he was a hometown kid, and brought excitement and hope to the city, in a way which we haven't felt since the days of MJ. He was the first superstar we had since MJ, the first MVP since MJ, youngest ever....and again, he was from Chicago, which made fans love and idolize him even more, everything he did meant more because he was a hometown kid. Now, as for why he's so beloved around the rest of the league and maybe seen as a legend...its mostly because of his "story", some of which I just told, but also him going through the injuries, reaching a point where no team wanted to sign him, and fighting his way back into the league, changing his game, and still being able to be a very good player. He's a humble guy, even before the injuries, you never heard him bragging or talking trash, heck, him celebrating after a basket is a rare occurrence, so it was really hard not to love him as a player and as a person. All he wanted to do was play ball and compete... The reason he is so beloved is tied to MJ in many ways, because he left a big hole in Chicago, and Derrick was able to fill it, and I'm not talking about rings, I'm talking about the excitement people felt...its been more than 25 years since MJ retired, can you name any superstar Chicago had since that time other than Derrick?...and again, him being from Chicago made it that much more impactful. I would go as far as saying that some fans love Derrick more than they love MJ, and not that they believe he's a better player or achieved more, but because of what he meant to the city.
This guy is so real, genuine, humble.

He needed to come to Dallas to feel that real love
drose....
who's better Prime Kyrie or Prime Drose...
That’s a great question
Cmon now no comparison

I’m a fan of Kyrie. But prime drose is just unstoppable
“Legend”? He was hurt for the majority of his career with the Bulls.
and still got ROTY, All Star, and MVP by 22
@ How many rings did he win there again?

@ No rings, barely ever in the playoffs, injury plagued career. Didn’t have to write 3 paragraphs for that now did I?
@@warogore apparently I shouldn’t have, since your two 🧠 cells couldn’t comprehend it. Well, luckily it’s not up to you if he is a legend or not lol.
