It’s rare to see a basketball player watching hockey, let alone giving credit to how skilled these guys are-skating, stick handling, the physicality, all of it.
What I love about this is that the kid was actually being engaged and having conversations with his father rather than being on the phone. Granted, these are just clips and I’m sure he was on the phone at certain times but his father had to tell him he should’ve been filming the fight. That says a lot about who this young man is and a lot about how drose is raising him

Outside of my childhood, the only player I’ve ever wanted to play like is D Rose. We all wanted to be Mike, but I got pass that at about 14,15….then this young ninja comes along. Obviously I knew about him since high school, saw that ninja at Memphis…..he plays exactly how I want to play. He plays like a Chicago ninja. Just many levels better😂

The kids dad had to tell him to get his phone out to get the brawl. The lil man was engaged and seemed to be just having fun hanging with his dad. That is what sports is all about. Whenever i go to hockey games with my dad we just BS like this the whole time. Father son time is incredibly important and im so proud of D Rose for being an all world dad.
I played hockey, basketball, baseball and football. Hockey is not that difficult, if you are naturally unathletic, then it can be hard I guess, but I love the way he's not shitting on hockey, although it's not that great of a sport, just a bunch of fighting 😆 I was actually good but it was super boring to me
