I lost my husband almost 8 years ago, my wounds are still fresh after hearing this song I have felt a peace in my heart because I know he loved the Lord and is there with him Thank you for this beautiful song

The first time I heard this song was when I was driving back home after meeting with the funeral home following my husband's death. There are no coincidences. My husband fought his rare carcinosarcoma with grace and strength. He is now standing in the sun, he fought his fight and his race is run. His pain is all a million miles away!
I lost my wife Jenny just two months ago. We were married for 55 years and knew each other for 5 years prior to that. What a loss! I cant even begin to explain. I just wanted to go and be with her and prayed to God for that to happen. Then I heard this song, that ministered to me like nothing ever before had. It exposed me to the truth of what had happened , and at the same time gave me a hope that I will soon see what Jenny now sees. Thank you for Salvation and heaven Christ Jesus. Thank you "Casting Crowns" for such a meaningful, touching and anointed song.

Trevor, lifting you up my brother. My hubby Steve went home 11 months ago. I know you want to be home with your sweet Jenny. That last part... About finishing the race and getting to see what they see now... just wow. We are grateful for the gift of having them but the ache is like none other. The hardest words for me say is my father has died. It makes it real. It's been eight years. But I think of his last breath. He went praising the Lord. With his hands lifted high worshipping his maker. Before he lost his battle with cancer. He said make sure they know I'm healed. He left a legacy that still touches lives. He reminds me of a pebble thrown into a lake. The ripples continue. Even though he's in Heaven. Thanks so much for this song. There's peace in the story.

We lost our son 8 months ago to a motorcycle accident. I let him walk out the door that day without getting my hug. So many days I wish I could go back BUT I know he is with our Lord in Heaven and I will get that hug some day. Thank you for this song! Absolutely beautiful!!

We lost our daughter Maribeth two weeks ago when she was hit by a car at an intersection and killed. She was only 22 years old. Our pain is still new, our wounds fresh, and our weeping nonstop. Through it all, we know that our daughter is with the Lord, who she loved so much, and he is looking after her. His love reigns supreme.
My 31 year old daughter passed away May 26th, 11:30 am... She had fought 4 years of total renal failure that lead to the heart failure that took her. THIS captures Everything that Matters! Because She no longer hurts, I have been set free... Most of the time...

My dad passed away Saturday after a battle with multiple cancers. My wife and I were cleaning his truck out this evening. I turned on his radio and this song was playing on KLove. It brought us both to tears. I'll miss my dad, but am so very glad his suffering is over.

Keep holding on, it wont be long before Jesus comes back. Another song that might help you feel a little better is Jesus is Coming Back by Jordan Feliz. He is coming back, and when He does, we will be redeemed. And we will see our loved ones again. February 24, 2021 my mother passed away 10 days later my father passed I miss them seems the last year I have lost more than gained in this old world my only hope is one day this sinner will be saved by God's grace and I to will be able to say I have run my race and finished my course and now is laid up for me a crown of righteousness LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD MISS YOU

I lost my 9 year old daughter with severe autism in a tragic accident last May 2021. She fell from our balcony down to the street. We rushed her to the nearest hospital but she passed away after 2 days. Until now the pain still lingers. I feel that a part of me has already died although I know that life must go on. A few weeks ago, my mother in law passed away at our home. After a couple hours, I went outside to move my car so that the funeral home could come pick her up. Scars in Heaven is a song of peace with the unexpected loss of my precious husband of 46 years last month. The song gives such a peace that our loved one is no longer suffering. No more sickness or struggles to live each day. Powerful song and a blessing indeed! I don't know how people deal with death without the hope of our Heavenly Father. Hope you sing it at Red Rock Amphitheater on August 4th.

Same here, their songs are truly inspired by Jesus. I know this because the love I feel from these songs is so overwhelming! Remember that if there was anything ever worth something, it love. Especially God's love for us, His love that took the cross for us, and loved us so personally that He got involved with us at the deepest level. We could never ask for anything greater, and to somehow make it this incredible love even better, He gives it away for free. I could never ask for anything else, anything better, anything easier, than saying yes to God's love. Peace be with you!

My only son passed away 10 1/2 months ago tragically. He was my heart, the love of my life. I miss him every minute of every day. He struggled for 7 years with addiction and fought hard to get well. I stood next to him, even in the ugliest of times, every step of the way. I believe that the Lord knew that he was exhausted and took him home to rest.

I heard this song for the first time yesterday today is my mama‘s anniversary in heaven she’s been gone 21 years. I also lost my 30-year-old daughter seven years ago so this song touched me very deeply the music and the lyrics spoke to my heart. My husband died July 30, 2021, one day before our 38th wedding anniversary. I "celebrated" our anniversary planning his funeral. He received the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick and his sins were absolved. I have great hope that he is a saint. I can't lie next to him at home, so I go to the cemetery, put a blanket down and lie down beside him. On my phone, I play hymns and weep. I played this song today.

I lost my first born grandson at 21 years of age on August 16,2021. 29 days later, his best friend joined him in heaven. 29 days later a close friend of mine also joined them. There are no words to convey the grief, even as I rejoice knowing they are safely in the arms of our Lord.

It was a very emotional time and this song touched me in a way that not only brought gut wrenching pain but also joy knowing they are no longer in pain and that I will see them healed and brand new when it's my final days .
Our son passed away just a month ago. He was 45, Phillip "Yeti" Turner there is not a minute that goes by we don't think about Him or muss him. Thank you for this song that brings hope to those suffering loss.

I lost my only child four years ago on 02/13/2018. It was unexpected. I cry everyday, but God comforts me through the Holy Spirit. He spoke to me saying I am saved by grace, not anything I do.

This song showed up in my Facebook page on June 4, 2021, exactly one month after my aunt passed away on May 4, 2021. She was like a mother to me. She suffered many tragedies, including losing two daughters, and her husband as well. She also had a lot of health problems.
My dad also passed on September 15, 2020, which broke my heart. He was estranged from us kids for many years and God restored his relationship with us prior to his death. He had a lot of health problems as well.
When I hear this song. it makes me think of them both. I know there have been some major family reunions in heaven in the past 18 months, and that they are finally free and whole again.

I remember praying to the Lord about 2 months after Bobs passing, that I had expected to be walking this journey now with Bob, but not to be, but yet in a way I am, as Our foster daughters and many others keep growing in what we felt in the Lord to teach them..
Our world needs us in The ecclesial (Church) to be one eyed with Our Lord, Which was Bobs and my frustration (that it didn't seem to be) We spent a lot of our Marriage traveling our lovely country, and learning to love in The Lord whoever we met and stayed with, I want to do that again, especially travel to The South Island with Bobs ashes and have time with so many down there that knew and loved Bob.. I know The Lord will lead me in that, when His timing is right...

If I had only known the last time was the last time. My mother died of a blood clot after hip surgery. None of us knew she was dying. I had been with her all day and I needed to let my dog go out, get something to eat and prepare to see her the next day. I have had such guilt over not being there when she passed. This song comforts me because I know she was ready to go and I know we will be together again, forever. Thank you Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit.
I know this song is intended for those that lost loved ones to Covid. I lost my boys 28 years ago. My heart goes out to you that lost loved ones. There are no words that heal those deep wounds. I know because i have lived this for half my life. This isn't a plea for pity, i don't want nor need it. My hope is God will bring you peace during your healing.

My brother suggested this song to me when my husband died in a car accident July 18,2023. It was 1 week before our 43rd anniversary. We loved each other so much and enjoyed laughter and were about to retire and treavel. I don't know why God took him and not me when we were maybe a foot apart. He went to be with the Lord immediately and I had cuts and a concussion.

My 29 year old brother died unexpectedly on June 10. It was tragic. He was in detox and had a seizure, but the medical facility failed to call 911 right away. He struggled for 20 minutes while they failed to help him. By the time 911 got there it was too late. This song was written word for word about him. He had so much pain and scars, but he needed help. My brother had accepted Jesus has his savior so I stand on God’s mercy and goodness that the one with the scars is holding him now.
First heard this beautiful song as a cover by Sanah Noona a little over 2.5 years ago, days after our sons death. Hit me like a ton of bricks. Used this version to honor him in his memorial video at his funeral. Thank you for writing one of the most beautiful songs ever written.

I lost my sister a couple of days before Christmas in 2019. Although I know where she now resides, we were as close as any two sisters could be. I've lost another sister many years ago and my father, as well but she was my sister, my mother, my friend, my encourager, my supporter, my cook, my hair and clothes critic...My heart still yearns for one more day to spend with my sissy. I was on stage that Sunday morning then I received a message after the worship set that she had taken a really bad turn. I left the church as fast as I could and by the time I could make it all the way down the hall where she was, she was promoted to Heaven. That was the hardest day I have ever experienced in my life. No more sister Sunday Fundays or shopping sprees or doing all the things we loved doing together, thrift shopping and on and on but I'm so looking forward to seeing her and the rest of my loved ones in Heaven. Never forgotten ❤

My sister tragically lost her husband this past Monday....he was her rock. This song will be played at his funeral next week
Thank you for such a heartfelt song. I keep replaying it. Lost my mom to COVID in Feb 2021. We could not be with her and did not get to tell her Goodbye. It has affected us all so deeply. Hope she heard us tell her how much we loved her. I know she was hurting badly since she was intubated for about a month. So much physical and emotional pain she must have been feeling. We know she is now in the Glory of God!
