I was a widower and a minister.when she passed suddenly .my life changed and I lived in a wilderness of fog and turmoil .almost lost my mind.but He gave me 3 promises.and day by day HE was faithful and my supply.and he is putting the pieces of my life back together. Here we are on earth, hearing about God, love, grace and mercy, and the sacrifice that he said his son to die on the cross for our sins it brings us to our knees! I cannot even begin to imagine the glory of God in Jesus Christ and the song that the Angels sing about him! I am all struck by this
When I turned 16 I strayed away for a night from mom and dad. Set out to experience the fun all my friends were having. The one main ingredient that made the fun its finest was alcohol . I drank my first beer that night. That first beer was the first beer before millions more to come. I never had any desire to stop drinking even though alcohol took some of the most important things a person needed in order to have a life worth living and being greatful for. Like my driver's license, and things I didn't need. Like a criminal record and several more offenses that would sooooon be added to it , ,55+ incarcerations to be exact. Exactly and true but by no means to be proud of nor to boast on my hard earned career and it's title; continuous bodily damaging alcoholic abuser. From the age 16 until my 48th year of living for the same fun I set out to experience was the fun I could not live without. Finally I decided to try to live without drinking alcohol. Needless to say taking alcohol away from my everyday life was not so hard. But to stop letting my body have alcohol from 16 till my 48th year . A great unexpected change was brewing and this time it wasn't the alcohol that was brewing but every organ in my digestive track was sending signals of painful damage to my brain causing it to become overloaded with messages that were unnoticed usually do to " Self " personal bodily intoxication. The immediate alteration of brain signals, do to consumption of a mind and body altering substance. When my brain became overloaded with signal after signal all at once, it became a once perfect and intelligent functional organ of the body our FATHER GOD created, to a organ of distress, coase and confusion led to disfunctional organ that every other organ in the body needed to stay insinc and continue to thrive as a whole body. My brain had a stroke causing me to have seizures. I stopped drinking and on the second day I had a seizure. So afraid I started drinking again not happy that I did. I stopped again and on the second day I had another seizure sitting in the same spot as before falling face first, making solid impact onto the concrete busting my nose and head all over again coming to, in an ambulance heading to the hospital. Well needless to say . I drank again, and would stop, then the siezures. On my tenth and final seizure the tenth seizure was the worste of all. It took me almost a month before I was able to have enough strength to walk a straight line and stay standing. To be continued: THE SONG CRY OUT TO JESUS IS THE REASON FOR MY Story, so have patience. It amazes me how casting crowns can continue to make such awesome music. With such simple chord patterns to boot. I doubt rivalries and competition exists between Contemporary Christian groups, but Casting Crowns is truly standing out.
