I lost my husband of 34 yrs in 2014. This song has helped me through a long night of crying. God is good.
I have listened to this so many many times, sometimes on repeat for hours. I can never listen to it just once.. Day after day, night after night, through this song You've reminded me again and again on the darkest days that it'll be alright. As my daughter fights the demon of addiction, my hope is You alone. Thank you, Mercy Me, for being His voice in a tangible way, it's powerful and beautiful.
As a t1d since 2 also I was looking for this for awhile. I'm going blind from this. Considered a "brittle diabetic" had all my teeth removed bc of DKA
One year later I hope things are better for you and your daughter.

I really sympathize with what he's talking about. I had allergies starting at 5 years old, horrible seizures that started out simple, but after 50 years, 5 surgeries including brain surgery, being evaluated for a 2nd brain surgery to help me, and doctors that are CONVINCED that I'm going to commit suicide because of the last 30 years that have been so hard in many different ways. Found out that my pretend Christian ex-husband, drug addiction, alcoholic, chronic neck pain, who loves his mother and still looking for her approval after she broke up our marriage because of my medical issues that started at 8 years old and have only gotten worse over the years. It affected our intimacy and caused him to abandon us twice in 17 years. I wanted a 50-year + relationship with a spirit filled relationship with God. But moved me away from good doctors to a place that has no idea what they're doing. The medicine they gave me, one turned me into the equivalent of the wicked witch of the East or West, I got kidney stones from another that their treatment made me incontinent. Seizures made me a fall risk, and I was NEVER told by the apartments that all I needed to do was get a letter from my doctor saying this was necessary. But all of this helped me to become closer to God and prepare me for what's to come. I'm thankful for all of this because of this strength and opportunity. The doctors were convinced I was suicidal because of the terrible medicine and stress. No one understood, even though time and again said I would NEVER hurt myself,EVER! I will wait for them to continue working as slowly as they are. More nonsense, which I'll skip. I now have more confidence that God will heal me before the doctors get their act together. I stand strong with God,always wondering why He loves me. I'm not worth it is the lie I hear. Not true. I'm looking forward to Eternity with family, Christians who are serious, not just Sunday Christians. If I've been rude,I'm sorry. I'm just excited to have learned to have less stress and not worry about God being in control. He made everything, and there is no box that He will fit Him. Turn to Him when you're hurting. Praise and sing, He loves the love and thank yous. Sorry this was so long. I talk a lot. God bless you in what you need in your life. Find an evangelist or church that really helps you, music that lifts your spirit and letting God drive, instead of you worrying. No stress and giving forgiveness is much better. There was a addiction assistance facility one of our pastors worked at. They had some really scary stories. The seizures I'm tormented by were mostly under control, but I hate taking it. I couldn't drive, afraid to take the stairs,etc. I asked one of the people with the group, after explaining my situation and asking what the attraction was for drugs. She said that most people have a "hole" in their heart that needs filling. They spend all day studying and counseling, as well as other things you're required to do. She said only a relationship with God filled that hole. 🙏 😇🫶🤠🎉🥳🫂🥰💜

This song helped me when my twin sister had cancer and I needed to have something to hold onto, but I had to accept the fact that Even If she wouldn’t be healed here, she will be healed in heaven.

I have been married and together 32 years, in 2020 after 27 years my husband gave his heart to The Lord. Hold on to what you are believing. It didnt look like it would ever happen, but one Sunday evening he went to church with, first time EVER, his life was changed forever more. God is a healing God.
Jesus doesn't promise to fix our problems, but he does promise that he is with us through them all

Thats been a comfort to me. After I unexpectedly lost my wife, 4 yrs ago. Everyone else turned away. Jesus never has and never will !!!!! Everyone else may blow smoke and says they're here for me but, My Lord Jesus Christ never will and is here for me.

I love this song. You Mercy Me are a blessing to me. Jesus is using you to give us hope and encouragement. I lost my son 4 years this December of Pancreatic Cancer. I also go through things with people who put me down because of my faith in Jesus. God bless you so much. Yes, Jesus is able. I will listen to this over and over.

This song really touches me. I have battled TBI from 2 car accidents. It caused seizures as well as several other problems. I hit a very dark time after the Drs told me that it was just a matter of time till I ended up brain dead because the seizures were so frequent and they couldn't get them to slow down. I don't know how in those dark days I found the strength to keep singing praises to God, I don't even remember why I praised Him for my life. It really was the worst time in my life. Even fighting addiction as a teenager don't compare. This song was not out during that time. However, the first time I heard it I just knew it was for people who were struggling like I did. I really want to encourage people to hold on to their faith even if it seems hopeless. I have now been seizure free since April of 2017. God has a plan and He knows what's best for all pf us. Blessings to all who are struggling to hang on.

Your questions about warfare were on my mind last night. I have looked at the life of Paul, and decided I would try to imitate his life. Why Paul and not Jesus? Because I have no chance to imitate the life of Christ. He was Perfect, he passed every test of the flesh. I fail so many tests of the flesh, and trying to imitate Christ becomes futile.
Paul on the other hand was not perfect. Paul was just like me - a man saved by the Grace of God. So Paul I can imitate.
2 Corinthians 11:23-33
Are they servants of Christ?-I speak as if insane-I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death. Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren; I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure.
Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches. Who is weak without my being weak? Who is led into sin without my intense concern?
If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness. The God and Father of the Lord Jesus, He who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. In Damascus the ethnarch under Aretas the king was guarding the city of the Damascenes in order to seize me, and I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and so escaped his hands.
Paul even tell us to imitate him. 1 Corinthians 4:15-16 For even if you had ten thousand others to teach you about Christ, you have only one spiritual father. For I became your father in Christ Jesus when I preached the Good News to you. So I urge you to imitate me. Imitate Paul, look at his works and you will see how to serve Christ.
But Paul even mentions this again in 1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1 So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Don’t give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God. I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don’t just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved. And you should imitate me, just as I imitate Christ.
So when we are obedient to Christ by our commitment we may of may not face difficulties until later. As a Christian we will see persecution, but if we do not share our faith we may not.
Look at Job, he did not face trials until God decided we would brag to Satan about him. Job 1:1 There once was a man named Job who lived in the land of Uz. He was blameless-a man of complete integrity. He feared God and stayed away from evil. V. 8 Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless-a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil.”
And he did not face difficulties or trials because God was protecting him. Job 1:9-10 Satan replied to the LORD, “Yes, but Job has good reason to fear God. You have always put a wall of protection around him and his home and his property. You have made him prosper in everything he does. Look how rich he is!" So here is an instance where Job is moving through life and doing pretty well. He has amassed lots of riches, lots of fame and respect.
Then a second time God brags about Job, to Satan. Job 2:3 Then the LORD asked Satan, “Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless-a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you urged me to harm him without cause.” God is so proud, but now Job has been through some difficulties. No difficulties for YEARS, all of the sudden he loses everything. What is Job's response Job 1:23 In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God.
Job goes through a great difficult period in his life. Some scholars say it was years, I think so too. But in all that happened to Job he did not sin against God. He questioned God, he questions all that is happening but he never turns away from God. He gets very depressed, but he does not turn from God.
Then Job says this about the difficult times and persecution.
Job 42:1-5
Then Job replied to the LORD: “I know that you can do anything, and no one can stop you. You asked, ‘Who is this that questions my wisdom with such ignorance?’ It is I-and I was talking about things I knew nothing about, things far too wonderful for me.
You said, ‘Listen and I will speak! I have some questions for you, and you must answer them.’
I had only heard about you before, but now I have seen you with my own eyes.
In my own life I have see difficult times. Erika's [my daughter was a drug addict] situation still gets me, and I pray for her everyday. I could have done so much better as a Dad. In many ways I added to my difficulties because of my pride. Now I see satanic attacks on us. We had four trees fall down in our backyard, on a clear night. How does that happen? I know it is because of what we are trying to do to save babies.
So things are not difficult? I can't say I am not in your shoes. You know Jesus as your savior, your family knows Jesus. Just because you don't see anything happening doesn't mean that Satan has left you alone. It could mean that God has protected you. It could mean that he needs you to grow, and sometimes growing in Christ is painful. In fact I think that growing in Christ is painful. Going back to Paul, the closer he got to God the more effective he was. The more effective he was the more Satan persecuted him. The more he was persecuted the more determined he became!
Look at this testimony on you tube - then a great song.
Job went decades before he hit any trials and difficulties. What we have to have faith in is that when the trails and difficulties end - we are better off!

I’ve been living my life with Jesus at the helm and was/has really tested in my faith. My oldest son was killed in a truck accident 4 1/2yrs ago and I’ve struggled with not wanting to take my own life … but God! He saved me from myself and I’m so grateful for that! I don’t want to put that on my husband, youngest Son, daughter in love and my precious gbabies! I still struggle without having my oldest son around, I still go through dark periods but God always helps me get back on my feet and I know it’s to be able to witness to others like you have done here! Thank you again and may many blessings come your way! ❤

This song resonates with me so much. 32 years in Law Enforcement and I was always used to being in control. Handling people and situations that most people never experience, until 7 years ago when I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia AML. During that time, God brought me to a place where I needed to rest in him and acknowledge that I was not in control but He was and is. I had no choice but to completely surrender to Him, as did my wife and family. As my relatives were summoned to come and say a final goodbye, I knew that EVEN IF He decided to call me home, that would be ok and he would take care of my family. I am Blessed beyond measure and thank Him everyday for healing me. Still trying to find out what He wants me to do, but He left me here for a reason, even if it is to minister to my 14 yr old grandson who has had four open heat surgeries and will have another at some point. God has used our illnesses to create a bond between us and has brought both of us closer to our Lord. I pray for those out there who do not know Him or who have strayed a little that, during this COVID-19 season, they will call out to God and receive His son. Great song. Brings me to tears every time.
I'm an 18 yr veteran LEO myself. I unexpectedly lost my wife Chris to a massive pulmonary embolism almost 5 yrs ago. I completely understand the concept of having to be in control. When our kids and I lost her, I got smacked in the face with the reality that Im not really in control of anything.... especially of the things that really matter.
Since I walked out of the trauma unit that morning, I've been asking the Lord Jesus
" what do I do now"
The only thing He has told me over and over and over again is
" TRUST ME "
That is what I'm doing..... it's scary because of all of the unknowns but, I know that even though I don't understand or know what HE is doing,
HE DOES !!!!!

This was my dads song and life prayer when he was going through cancer that over took his whole body. These lyrics are what he lived by. We know you can heal and save but even if you dont we know you're still God of all. My pops passed away a couple of months ago and now we live by this song also. It is well with my soul. I'm sorry for your loss. This was my moms song who also passed away from cancer last month. My faith in Christ has sustained me through it. He doesn't promise to take away all of our pain, but he promises to be with us through it all. He will never leave you.

I use to be a nurse. I had brain surgery 3 years ago which ended up with a cerebral leak that doctors have been unable to fix. I am awaiting a second brain surgery. My knowledge of medicine and the possibilities is I think the worse part of all of this. This song has led many prayers over the last three years. Thank you!

I first heard this song Aug 2019 through Jan 2020 when my husband was going through cancer. A year and a half earlier my son tried to commit suicide so he moved back home with us. I've just lost my job from this corona virus and learning I have neuropathy in my feet. This song picks me up and helps me worship the One who really IS in control. When I worship I'm FREE... This world just fades away. Praise God we're able to do that! I'd be in a nuthouse otherwise! THANK YOU MERCY ME for being real.

As I sat in ICU watching my son on a ventilator for almost 3 weeks, this song helped me so much. It reminded me that God has a plan for each of us and "Even If" we don't understand we can trust that God is holding our hand through it all.
Sheila Scofield-Roland I don't know your Son's situation now but I just wanted to share with you about my brothers testimony,12 years ago he was in a coma for 3 weeks and the doctors said he wouldn't make it,and if he did he wouldn't be the same person anymore that he would need 24 care,as a family we didn't accept this because the God we serve always has the last word,we prayed without stopping and today by God's grace and mercy he is absolutely perfect,and preaches in our church.God Bless you and your family.

I have had so much happening in my life these past few months that would drive most people insane. Thank God my hope is in the Lord. "Lord even if you don't my hope's in you alone" That's my battle cry :)

I started listening to mercy me a long time after I can only imagine. Even though it is a amazing song. But then I listened to even if with the testimony and I really fell in love with it. They truly are an amazing group.
I’m a huge MercyMe fan. Even If always makes me feel so good during my good days, bad days, and very bad days to the point where I feel like falling to my knees screaming at the top of my lungs and sobbing like a newborn baby. Just saw them in concert last Sunday. I enjoyed it so much! This song hits home for a lot of people. Ive been praying for over 13 years for my son to get a donor for a kidney transplant. Sometimes the mountain won't move, but I still trust in God's love!
I've survived a stroke a blood bacteria and lymphoma cancer too. I know that I should be dead now, but I'm alive by the glory of God. And I'm type 2 diabetic. After I got the phone call telling me that I had cancer I thought it was a joke, after I realized that I did have cancer my 2nd thought was, OK God how are we going to get through this together? I put my faith in God to get me through everything I went through. The day after I got the phone call I, 1 met with the cancer dr. at the VA, 2 had a bone morrow biopsy, 3 was admitted to the VA Hospital. The next 3 days after that I had my 1st 3 chemotherapys. Then the next day I had 2 tubes put in my back. One from my right kidney to my bladder, and a tube from my right kidney out my back to a bag. My cancer had almost completely surrounded my right kidney and choked off the tube from my right kidney to my bladder. God has gotten me through everything. Put your faith In Him.
My son was just diagnosed with Type 1 Christmas Eve and wow. This testimony hit me right in the heart... Regardless of what we go through, God is good. 🙏

You will make it (mom of a T1D here). Thank God for the diagnosis. Thank God for insulin. And may your son be the fighter that my daughter has become. There will certainly be bad days--but the Lord has used it. And my daughter is a nurse now, risking her life--but her hope is in the Lord. I hope the best for you and your family!
God will use your son who has T1D to touch lives in ways you never imagined. I also have the disease, going on 28 years now with it - and I will say that God has given me a tremendous heart for others and sharing the Gospel and to sit and minister to those in pain with chronic conditions - nothing is ever wasted!

You have brought me to an understanding of how the Lord looks after us. My daughter Abs has had type 1 diabetes since she was 7 and wow what a journey it has been. Diabetes is tricky, you think you have it down pat, then wham here comes an episode you aren’t prepared for then God steps in and you go from there. Abs is 30 now and in Social Service working with the homeless and found a church early on while she was in college and she inspires me every day and I know it is truly God who stepped in those many times I was clueless. Bless you for the gift of this song it makes me cry tears of joy when I listen and reminds me when I am in depths of despair. 🙏 thank you

Oh, MercyMe, thank you so much for this song "Even If". As a person diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I struggle with sleep deprivation a lot. I know God can heal my thyroid and thus solve my sleep problems by just saying the word. But for some reason, He's not. :) But, no circumstance changes who I am in Christ, and "Jesus I will cling to You, come what may"! God bless you, MercyMe!

I am a chronic migraine sufferer. Every day my head hurts. For the last 5 1/5 years I battled this thorn. The years I cried out to the Lord begging for him to remove this pain. Asking him to allow me to be the mother, wife, woman I knew he created me to be. Knowing he was capable with one word to remove it all. But in what I thought was silence I walked. Music...like many...is where I fall before His feet. When I feel worthy of worship. "It is well" has been my sweet families fight song through all of this. In the nights when darkness overwhelmed but sleep never came because of pain I always sang this hymn. My husband brought me this song and said I have a new fight song for us. I WEPT! Then I heard your story beyond writing the song and " It could have been me". Thank you. Thank you for putting words in the silent prays. Thank you for allowing my family of 5 to worship together.

A fasting prayer is a healing prayer. Fasting is a show of faith. I pray the migraine leaves you never to return.
Jesus took your migraines at the cross. It is not a thorn you have to bare. NOBODY who came to Jesus asking for healing in the scriptures was told "no". Why would He tell you "no"?! You ARE healed. By faith, say that out loud. Every day. Quote the scriptures that say, "He Himself took our infirmities and carried our diseases", "by His stripes we were healed". And thank Him constantly for your healing. Don't let doubt enter your mind. If it does, chase it out! You will see those head aches go. Obviously, you have a husband and kids who need a healthy mom and wife.
@@Todd_Kuhns Yes this is true. However, Jesus also said in Mathew Chapter 17 that in order for his disciples to be able to heal you must fast and pray. Also, Paul carried a thorn that he asked God to get rid of but God said no.
@@lisamullins1115 Paul's thorn was persecution not sickness or disease. He clearly says that and also mentions it in 2 Cor. 1. As for fasting and praying, yes. I think you'll find that it says, this type of "unbelief" comes out through prayer and fasting.

Oh Dear Man...I have had those feelings & thoughts every time someone says they will pray for me, for healing, for miracles! I have Psoriatic Arthritis and have deformed hands and feet and take shots every 4 weeks. I am so thankful for all that the Lord has taught me, for the strength to persevere, and "even though" He hasn't healed me I continue to believe and He has blessed me so completely through it all!

Through this pandemic and being away from church for the past two months, I miss it so much and I feel like I have met someone special in my church and even though I miss all my friends from church I miss her in a special way. We will get through this together and we will see each other again. I have never prayed so hard during this time since I was severely depressed when I first started at MTSU 7 years ago. I go through depression and being locked down and away from my friends this pandemic fueled it. Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and he will help us all through this.
Almost 3 years ago I lost my youngest son and this song even if helped me to realize even Thur my toughest times the Lord was and is still with me and is going see me Thur all things and catch me when I fall.

2 years ago I heard this song. I was so angry with God at the time. I had prayed for a very long time for a situation to change. But I felt as though I was loosing the battle. Defeated, abandoned and lonely, I didn't understand why? Why God??
So I played this song over and over until I believed what it said. I didnt pray for months or open my Bible, but eventually God, in his gentle loving way showed me that he was working all along. Praise God he is faithful even when I cant see it. Even if!! It is well with my soul. Romans 8:28
I absolutely can relate to this. I know we are not in Heaven and we will unfortunately suffer throughout our life on Earth however God is with us and even when we don't feel like he is there, He is the one we can look up to, and turn to daily through prayer. I have questioned and prayed all of my younger years cuz I felt that God was not there for me, or with us in time of need. I didn't ever understand why so many of us have to suffer although I have re-dedicated my life to Jesus as an older adult, after seeing the movie "I can only imagine." I can relate to this movie as my childhood was a living nightmare most of the time. I really admire Mr Bart Millard, and I am so thankful for the movie that helped me in my decision of drawing nearer to Jesus, my Lord and Saviour. Dear Mercy Me this song get me through a lot of day since at the young age of 25 my son got killed in 2017 my a hit and run driver. My grandson was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at 18mos of age. He's seventeen now and is still fighting the battles this disease causes. Prayers continue for a cure. Only He can heal him. This is why Even If is so special to all of us!

This is true reality! I prayed and prayed for my older brother, who was hopelessly addicted to Fentanyl. I begged God to fix him. I Pleaded with the father to return him to health. I had seen God work in my own life and in the lives of friends and other family members. I had seen true miracles in the lives of others, so I just knew that God would do it again........ The first time I heard this song I realized that regardless of the outcome with my Brother, God was God!!!! The earth is not our permanent home. All of this life is temporary and no matter what happens here, God is seated on the throne! God didn't heal my brother on this earth, but he did heal him. My brother knew Jesus and Jesus knew him. He was healed when God called him home and he is waiting for me with our mother and the other loved ones who have gone on before and I will praise God in the good times and the bad times. God really is GOOD! All The Time GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!

This was astounding! Our families story was the same! Our daughter (14)was diagnosed at 2 with diabetes also. And yes we get chronic disease! And we get that people want to pray for healing. Sometimes the answer is no and sometimes life sucks! The miracle might be that God walked us all through this journey and yes God is always good!!! Thanks for blessing me with your realness!

I've been loving their music for a couple of years. Recently, the Holy Spirit has renewed me but I've been struggling with my Type 1 diabetes, especially today. The fact this vid was recommended to me confirms God all powerful is listening to my prayers and providing answers. He is so powerful, so glorious and so forgiving.
I needed to hear this song once again this morning. We go through the fire at times, but God is always God and He is with us no matter what we are going through. My Hope Is In Him, Christ My Lord.
Heard this song in person thanks to a ticket gifted to me. So thankful to hear this again tonight as we all all deal with the ways the Corona virus has changed our lives. I heard this live on Feb 16th when they were in town. I sat there in the Alamodome crying. I've been a Type I diabetic since December 1993. I know the frustration, anxiety, pain, depression, and hurt that this diagnoses and lifestyle incurs. Loved the song before, but now it means even more (even if it brings tears to my eyes now).
