I do mine no preheat no oil @350 for 12 minutes flipping halfway. They come out pretty much the same and you have a healthier option without the oil. The big bibigo bag from Costco are good.
Wow I just cooked some Shrimp potstickers. A little oil and 10-12 minutes in the air fryer. They are crunchy and moist in the middle. What an amazing quick snack! Thanks Melanie, you rock!
0:50 Pour enough oil to coat the gyoza into the bag. Handle the gyoza of through the bag to coat them. Pour the Gyoza and all the oil into the fryer basket inside the fryer.
Thank you so much !!! the way you explained this video so perfectly I love it!! I can now make dumplings on my air fryer! thank you so much Melanie for this awesome video
These look delicious. I have a question regarding steak. I haven't tried a steak because I'm afraid I'm going to over cook them. Have you tried preparing one? If so what type of steak, what temperature and for how long? I dying to try one with your roasted potatoes. Thanks.
Steak is 400F for 11 minutes for medium, flipping after 6 minutes. If you'd like it more well done, just add a few more minutes :) It works with any type of steak.
I'm about to make some later this weekend & like you drmautz, I will not flip/turn them. Whenever I make them in a pan, I don't turn them either. That's the idea behind potstickers, to have only one side brown and crispy & the other sides plain and soft.
Could you start giving some advice to a single that just wants to toss stuff in the air fryer turn on the TV after work with out having to do alot. I'd appreciate it. Thank you
I have a feeling this would not be the best way to do them by far, unless you like them extremely crunchy or something which is definitely not how I've ever had them served authentically.. I usually heat up my cast iron skillet medium heat add a moderate amount of oil and let that heat up decently then add my pot stickers, let the bottoms fry for a few minutes then add about a quarter/ half cup of water and throw a lid on top and then them steam the rest of the way, slightly golden on the bottom and steamed to perfection on the top in under 10 minutes, I don't care how much you paid for your air fryer regardless weather it has a steam setting or not they aren't turning out like they would using a pan and I can only assume if you own an air fryer you own a stove and frying pan as well
I was about to cook potstickers this morning regardless I just decided to throw up a few videos in random before doing so and I know my previous comment criticized the method of using an air fryer but I have to admit I have never tried that before so I'm going to follow this recipe word for word and leave a third comment and explaining in detail how they turn out compared to stove top because at the end of this video she claims you'll never want to try any other way of cooking them again and I'm very skeptical about that and I find it to be very misleading from everything I know about air fryers but like I just said I've never cooked these in an air fryer before, so I coded them an oil I set my air fryer to 370 for 5 minutes I know she said 10 minutes but she also said to open it and flip them 5 minutes in so instead of setting it to 10 minutes I'm sending it to 5 minutes and I'm going to flip them once the alarm goes off and we will see what happens and I'll let you guys know this is something I've cooked many many times on stove top but never in the air fryer, I've owned a air fryer for about 3 years and I usually use it for takeout specifically ordering things like tacos or burritos or just any fast food in general french fries and hamburger instead of microwaving it and having it become soggy set the air fryer to a low setting and keep it crispy, definitely more effective than owning a toaster oven which would probably burn your take out if you tried doing the same thing but I'm going to let you guys know what I think about this air fryer recipe using Frozen pot stickers following this recipe step by step
Just as expected they are crispy all around follow the recipe 100% basically turned the potstickers into pizza rolls crunchy all the way around definitely do not waste your time or your pot stickers on this recipe unless you like crunchy chewy pot stickers.. I find it hard to believe anybody with an air fryer doesn't also have a frying pan, this just is not the way to cook potstickers unless you like them crunchy like I first said. Not the way to do it I promise you

Great tip, thanks for sharing! 😋
This is what I do! I’ve tried the oil spray (I make my own with coconut oil, olive oil etc) and it depends on what mood I’m in 😂🤣🥰
Bibigo is the exact reason I chose this video 😊
Congratulations my friend everyone cooks different 🥰
Yes
The air fryer is one of the greatest inventions ever. This video is proof of that.
Yes, I use my air fryer almost every day! 🤗
I haven't used one yet - I'm wondering the max number you could do cause it's considerable bench space with some of these appliances
@@etherspinI just followed her instructions and just made 8 potstickers, it depends on the size of your specific airfryer
Thank you so much!! I made a great little snack just now and it’s so yummy! You re instructions have given me the tastiest results! 🤗

Just tried this myself. Found it very important to brush with oil like you did instead of half-assing it. Thanks for posting this :)

What a great way to cook them. Will try that soon. Thanks 😃🤗
Awesome! Please let me know how they turn out! 😋
Thanks ! Bought some at Costco no airfryer instructions
Can you do this with dumplings you made yourself? Won't they be double cooked? Overcooked?
I never tried it, but I think you can
My son and I really enjoyed your video. We are going to have delicious air fried potstickers tonight!
Awesome, enjoy! 🤗🤗

I just published the Air fryer steak video: th-cam.com/video/R_YTo0IFH-Y/w-d-xo.html
Looks good but, I think I would try not flipping them at 5 minutes. I never had pot stickers evenly cooked. Thanks for the videos.
It will work without flipping too! They just won't be as evenly browned, but good enough :)
I'm about to make some later this weekend & like you drmautz, I will not flip/turn them. Whenever I make them in a pan, I don't turn them either.

I think most of my videos are exactly that - just toss stuff in the air fryer and it will cook it 😃
Yes😋
😋😋😋
I sprayed mine with vegetable oil.
turns out way better than the way it says to cook them on the bag with water they turn out soggy and my kids won't eat them.
Yes I like the air fried ones better too!
Thank you 😊
You are welcome, Isabel! 😊
Would this work with wontons??
Yes!
We have same air fryer cool
Awesome! 🤗
Cool 😎
Thanks, Michelle!
am i the only one seeing 60% of the oil fall on the counter and outside of the tray?
Lol you are very observant! 🤣🤣 Yes my kitchen is a mess after cooking 🤣
I was going to say the same thing, more oil on the counter!!
Are they precooked frozen potstickers?
I don't think they are precooked
@@MelanieCooksRecipes Be careful and make sure the temperature reaches 165 degrees. Thanks and take care
After air frying they were completely cooked on the inside for sure :)
This video is exactly what I needed. I've been feeling lazy lately and got an air fryer and this method is great! Thanks for the vid.
You are very welcome! 🤗
Who makes that airfryer, Boeing? Sounds like a jet!
Lol 🤣🤣 It’s Emeril Lagasse air fryer
I'm doing mine in a basket, so I don't have to flip them.😜
Yes flipping is optional :)
370 degree's at 10 minutes. Flip half way through
Could it be that simple?! 🤭😧😳
Yes! Simple is best! 🤗
Dammit. Why didn't I think of this?
Lol 🤣 Now you know!
I thought the whole point of cooking with the air fryer was to not have to use oil
It uses much less oil then deep frying. Also, oil is optional, it's just for flavor, feel free to omit the oil
Melanie, where have you been?
Just really busy lately 🤪 I made a few videos this week, will be posting more soon!
Trying now
Awesome! Please let me know how it turned out! 😋😋
