I just modulated the throttle when I let off and it popped like a mf and my d16y7 was completely stock witth just an intake and muffler delete. my buddy was like "what does this thing have a burble tune?" good times

There is some risk to the turbo, pistons and exhaust valves but very little. You should be fine if done in moderation. As long as you keep up with routine maintenance your mpg should remain unchanged unless your engine gets really worn out.
In my experience, you can additionally fatten up the low load rows of the fuel table to let it pop under normal decal and off-throttle (without modulating actual pedal). I agree it's just about worthless. lol

All I did was on the ve table lowest kpa row 16kpa between 2k & 4.5k I set ve to 0 I get a slight crackle even with decel ON. Not as savage as your timing map method. Gotta admit though it don't do squat it sound amazing 🙂
Yep there are many ways to get the crackle, IMO the spark retard method seems to be the most effective. I will try out your method next time I take the car out for a drive. Smiles per gallon is just about all you get with the crackle/pop tune lol

@@mizudorishinobi4697 yes your ECU needs to be chipped or atleast programmable for you to be able to do crackle and pop tunes. Depending on what engine is in your accord you may be able to find a Hondata that plugs right in.
It may be a little tricky to do with an auto since it will want to upshift when you let off the throttle. I supposed you can leave it in 2nd gear and it should work
It's called tunerstudio. It doesn't work on factory Toyota ECU as far as I know. You need a standalone ECU like Speeduino or Megasquirt to use tunerstudio. Pretty much and standalone ecu would allow you to do that crackle tune

@@minhazaziz1012 I am not sure what tuning options exist for your car and how they work. As for implementation of crackle tune it should work on any car. Automatics may just make it a bit more difficult.
he's using an aftermarket ecu (speedino) and using Tuner Studio. It's expensive and not something you would get just for the purpose of this, but if you were also adding turbo, etc

This will only work with a programmable ECU. Wiring will depend on which ECU you go with

You can add fuel but it won't work without letting air in (opening throttle)

No, you need some form of programmable ECU to do this. My ECU uses the tunerstudio tuning program
