I agree with the intro, I listened to it on Spotify first and thought; "Have they done a clean song?!?!" Then it kicked in and then I was a very pleased Lamb of God fan.
The first half of Overlord was clean and it hits fuckin HARD after that.
@@benhostetter4775 I had exactly the same thought listening to that song as well actually, but slightly only from a vocal point of view, as the drums kick in almost straight away, and that solo in the 'clean' is fucking sexy! But, yeah, holy fuck! How good is that riff when it kicks and listening to Randy sing for 3 minutes just make his screams sound even more brutal!!
But Overlord is 6 minutes long, it's more like two songs in one. This is just an intro, and it did feel like it lingers a little bit, I'm sure I'll get used to it, when I inevitably listen to it for the 400th time

skyler hidlebaugh you can definitely hear LoG on Mark Morton’s solo stuff. All the parts make LoG unique imo.
The guitar work for sure has some signature sounds to it. They dominate that whole blues/phrygian mix

Dude, some people had other sicknesses before the news of that really spread so I am not going to assume what they have and be like they have something, but just try to stay a distance from people who I see coughing and I should be fine. I already wash my hands lots and know ways to take care of my mental and physical health. I am not scared to go get stuff at a grocery store and have seen people with gloves which makes me feel safer.

However, they got a good drummer for sure. Seen them live last year and he fit really well.
The fact that some people miss Adler, me included, doesn't mean that the new drummer is bad. It's a different style, that all. We need time to get used to the new sound, I think it's normal.
The fact that the band didnt miss a step sonically and writing wise with Cruz. Speaks volumes. The drums were perfect for the song and that all that matters.

I just can't get enough of this song. I was a little down on them after getting rid of Chris Adler, but they wrote a fucking masterpiece right here. Their sound is so unique and, in my opinion, they are the best current American metal band doing it.

As the palaces burn and ashes of the wake are solid albums. Sacrament was ok but I didn't like it nearly as much as the other two. Haven't listened to any of their albums after that though.
