- Join me as I make a few plants for my Addams Family Mansion. The real plant making starts a little after the 15 min mark. Before that there is a lot of chatting and I open a box of mini-making goodies! Enjoy!

I'm very late watching this. I'm making plants at the moment. I work in 1/6scalr but love your videos!! I'm a huge Addams Family fan!! I would love to see your house in person at the museum. I live in FL so I probably won't get to see it. I love using coffee grounds for dirt. I made a topiary using coffee grounds on Styrofoam balls. After the grounds are painted you would never know it's coffee grounds. I use a lot of glue on my dirt coffee grounds and added paint and chalk pastel to get rid of the glue shine
I am inspired to make my own cardboard cottage I am so tired from working on it all day but my mind will not stop
I realize that this is an older posting that I am just seeing now. For my flowers I cut flower foam to fit pot and glue it in. Then I glue the coffee or tea grounds (used and dried) on top of the foam. Then I use a small/narrow skewer ( mine is a turkey skewer) make a hole, apply glue to your stems/leaves and push into your holes. Once everything has dried I have been pleased with the results. I found some cool and funky plants from...of all places...Petsmart! They have some tiny aquarium plants that are different styles and in miniature for tiny bowls. Just another source for you to ck out! :-)
You also mentioned removing the flowers from the Swan planters ..replace them with a creepy moss and use in the grave yard.

It’s so funny I just received my Adams Family Dollhouse kit & THEN I saw your videos ! I hadn’t even thought of going that way! I just loved the dollhouse! I ordered it & the gothic Victorian house! The later was $150.- & the Adam’s Family was only $87.-! Great deal for both houses! Can’t wait to incorporate some of your ideas!

There are a ton of homemade plants in here so easy to make! I spent $200.- on every tool & glue & paperboards, with knives, & coffee stirrers , & pipe cleaners, mod podge, etc! And the I forgot construction paper! But the foil was a big help. I’m saving all my cardboard, & my used coffee grounds are coming from the Kureck cups! I read where you air them out & some clean theirs out with cleaners, but airing out should be sufficient mixed with mod podge!
That plastic cylinder that you're using to hold the stems is what receipt paper is attached to when it's in a printer.

I'm pretty certain the grey "wheel" is the center from an "old school" camera film! I used the same exact thing (also cut in half) for the tops on my chimney! Lol

Could you press the grounds into the clay and then seal with mod podge once stems are in?

Lovely! Where do you find the leaves/plants? I have such a hard time finding anything like these. I always check the floral sections, but everything is too big.
Recently someone told me to check out the fish section of pet stores.... great stuff there! Esp for mini plants!

Realize we this is too late but foam, plants, mud grounds and glue and put on top. Be careful with the paper clay. I am sure that you know it can mold.
Shadow Walker Thanks for letting me know about the paper clay. I will try to pull if from the pot and check that it dried thoroughly.

You can put in a few drops of Mr. Clean or other cleaner to help stop mold in paperclay. I've not had a problem with mold since a friend told me about this.
I wonder why people started saying Green Thumbs over there? We have always said Green fingers in Britain? You are having a terrible effect on me...I have started lusting after 1/12 bjds which is not a good thing when everything else is 1:6 or even bigger! I already have 2 Figma people and caught myself looking at Figma horses...that would be the end...Lol!
Haha so sorry! And 1:12 BJD are so pricey! But they are so cool in a scene. I agree they are very addicting!!
