Once I get my cabin built on my 100 acre bush lot (so I have winter accommodation), I’ll be doing much the same sort of wood harvesting. However I’ll need some really good studded chains due to some serious hills. I like that chainsaw scabbard - could you please tell me where I could get one?

Really nice job! It’s amazing how much wood and how fast you can put it up. I’ve got the same winch, which I use with a 5105 John Deere. A great tool for small scale forestry.
I have not needed them yet with the 4 wheel drive so I have not bought any. I would say about a foot and a half of snow and the tractor can get through without to much trouble but after that chains would come in handy. I have a Ford 8N also and I have chains because they are a necessity for a two wheel drive tractor.
