Also when law emforcemnt gets there after, don't tell them you grabbed your weapon to defend yourself, tell them you looked around for something to defend yourself and found a stick

@@geoff9614 But it doesn't have to be a weapon, it could be something for as he said a massarger or it could be your small rolling pin, or it could be fir bending out small dents in cars, or even use a walking stick again something he said, walking sticks come in various forms, you can even get them with a metal auniment head.
But self defence I've seen people take off a shoe and use that, or a belt.
But yes almost anything can be considered a weapon if it is used as one.
A bunch keys, a key chain, rings used to be popular, a hand bag with a glass bottle in it, who would know right, it has your water, this aluminium flasks.

When I was in the Marines decades ago I had a buddy who was a Marine MP. We became good buds and he taught me tae kwon do. He also gave me a capital idea which was to always carry a small length of garden hose with me. It should be between 18” to 24” in length with the female end still attached. He said it would accomplish two things, it would not be considered a weapon and it would be highly effective( excruciating pain) without being lethal. He taught me to use it much like you would nunchuks. Very effective. Of course any fight is composed of many differing variables which have to be taken into account.

@@oktoday8323 Your point is once you use it, it becomes a weapon. My point being for those who live in communist states or cities where they cannot obtain a weapon nor carry one unless they jump through mile high hoops. A piece of rubber hose in your car if searched is not a weapon. Those who live where antifa or blm do whatever they want without consequences are at the mercy of thugs both criminal and elected. Should they find themselves in a jam at least they have recourse. I thank God I live in a state with a castle doctrine, will issue for CCW, or if you so choose open carry. @ogearbox6132 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

@@crvzer I did not clarify, my frame of reference is carrying it in your vehicle of choice. Of course you would be suspect “strolling” down the street with any unusual length of anything outside an umbrella or cane. Personally I spend most of my travel time in a vehicle and I never walk down any big or medium size city streets ever. Having said that my original post was for those lamenting their communist state laws in which their self defense tools are limited. Where I live I use a garden hose for its intended purpose and a CCW or open carry whichever suits me at the time if I ever choose to stroll in our small town.

With both of those I am confident that I could protect myself from 2 or 4 legged predators. I have practiced multiple strikes in rapid succession on trees with my stick. I know that the stick is my immediate action defense because it is already in my hand while my 9 is in a holster. I will fight to get distance from my threat to give me time to make my draw. I carry my tonbo on every plane trip. I simply have an exercise band with it in my carry on bag and have never been questioned on it as of yet. Yea, some people carry drugs in their carry on, too. Personally, during many, many flights to over 25 countries, I've never needed a stick. If I did, every location in the world has sticks. Why would a person risk having to ride Greyhound everywhere for the rest of their life? (A couple of times, I have bought a $2 kitchen knife and stuck it in my back pocket when walking through sketchy areas in some countries but most places are safer than many neighborhoods in U.S. cities.) Just leave the knife for the hotel staff so you don't get put on a no-fly list.

My dad put a length of metal pipe on the end of a piece of wood like that, and kept it indoors in case of a burglar. He called it his equaliser (he was elderly and had half of one foot amputated, so he couldn't walk well far less run. He needed something for self defense). Thankfully he never needed it.

Nice presentation. My preference is a 1/4" drive socket extension in a similar length. Light weight for speed, thin, solid steel, perfectly legal (it's just a tool), really hard on bones. Fits easily in a long-sleeved shirt or jacket sleeve. I've seen 14" and 15" ones. A quick squat and snapping the wrist to rap the shinbone with it will give you a huge edge, and quite possibly end the confrontation. Another great tool to target shins: steel-toed shoes or boots. Super-difficult to defend against and a great first strike.

In Brazil, your best bet is to buy a hoe handle, readily available at hardware and agricultural stores. The best wood is a purple hardwood available only in Brazil called "roxinho" (little purple) here. It's very hard, and fairly heavy. Hoe handles are sold separately, and short sticks can be made by simply sawing one to size. You can make two or three from one hoe handle. One advantage is that hoe handles are not perfectly cylindrical, they grow thicker towards one end, which provides for excellent balance. Thank you for your excellent videos!

The reason I was and still are reluctant to teach any self defense classes is because one or two classes will not prepare you for anything ...it takes real training . One or two classes and you are more likely to do yourself more harm.

I leave home early in the morning or get home late...I've seen people get snatched phones and chains and robbed. So I figured out my legal weapon almost the same as he is showing us. I have a heavy 10-inch roller and marked CM and Inches on it. So security at the Metro gate never bothers me. It's a tool measuring scale man. If anyone gets hit by this, it will be devastating. So be careful when and how to use it.

Cans of crappy Minnesota micro brew were a lot of gun exploding with cane strikes. I know, alcohol abuse, but I bought the beer for its cool label, knowing it would be overhopped Minnesota ash tray beer.

Every truck stop sells tire thumpers. Some are sticks like that, some are long flashlights, some are aluminium baseball bats. Truckers use them on their tires hitting them to see if they're flat. I have an aluminum one and the wooden one but I like the wooden one better even though the aluminum one looks more threatening.
