Great explanation. I'm a knitter and want to learn how to crochet next. I've been looking for weeks for inspiration , something to make and tutorials on how to start. Your video resonated with me and this beanie, along with your instruction will be the start of me learning to crochet!!!!! Thanks!
Love it, love it, love it❣.. I've been looking for a slouchy hat that I love for 2 long weeks😢.. then u popped up in my notifications & I can't wait to make it!!!! I'm using red heart latte stripes & starting the brim in the darkest brown 1st!! Thanks for ur time😁😍
great tutorial, i love how its easy to make your own adjustments too. made for my bf to hold all his curls out of his face and its perfect:) thank you so much
Great video and clear instructions! I love front post and back post double crochet and V stitches so you had me from the start ❤😊 I love the simplicity of this slouchy hat pattern, no increasing or decreasing to remember just sit back and crochet 😊. Thanks, I'm gonna get started right now, God bless you 😊
You have done such a beautiful job showing and explaining! I am not a pro by any means and you just made this so incredibly easy! Thank you so much for these videos :) you just gained another subscriber! ♥ Can't wait to make more cute things watching your videos!
Hi Lisa, thank you for your wonderful tutorial, you have done a great job. Just a question……I am not seeing any info on the size of the needle used and the thickness of the yarn. Could you please also direct me if I want to make this in a finer yarn for a warmer season wear am I just making as many chain as needed for the size and continuing on from there, will the sizing just follow on?? Hope i have made sense in my question? Thank you, and great work
I don't understand how all rows after and including row 5 have straight sides forming a tube, when essentially a v stitch increases the number of stitches. Would it be possible to have a stitch count at the end of row 5 to help keep us on track plz? 😊
I'm not sure if this will answer your question or be helpful but because the rows aren't as visible the measurement she included at 13.5 inches was helpful for me. Before I realized she measured it my hat was waaaaay too long and slouch. I was crocheting enough to make a whole'nuther hat so I had to undo several rows🤦🏾♀️ but measuring it did actually make it turn out perfect.
Hello my lovely crochet friend I just wanted to say thank you for this tutorial because I found it to be very helpful and I was also interested in the crochet hook that you were using in the video I wanted to know what kind it is and maybe where you got it from cause I thought it was so beautiful and did it come in a set or not. I hope you get a chance to read this and reply when ever you have time thanks.
@@LifeWithLisa3434 I'm working on a scarf with that stitch.....mainly because not everybody likes the feel of things around their neck, so it's nice and relaxed. But, I haven't been able to find a slouchy hat made with it other than for 1 that came close but I think it was a star stitch. Thank you, I found it very easy to follow what ur doing.......very important for me. 👍🏻
You are explaining great. I enjoyed this. ❤

How much yarn did you end up using?
I don't remember exactly but it wasn't an entire skein
Curious....how many rows did you crochet to make your hat?

The info is in the very beginning of the tutorial. I believe if you use a lighter yarn, just make sure to use proper measurements ensuring a good fit.
I use tight tension which makes my projects stiff. Should I block my hat? To make it not as stiff
I don't understand how all rows after and including row 5 have straight sides forming a tube, when essentially a v stitch increases the number of stitches. Would it be possible to have a stitch count at the end of row 5 to help keep us on track plz? 😊
Can you use the technique for any other type of hat❤
I'm not sure if this will answer your question or be helpful but because the rows aren't as visible the measurement she included at 13.5 inches was helpful for me. On round 5, a stitch was skipped between each V-stitch so there should be the same number of stitches on each round.

heeeey 🩵 I'm pretty sure that hook came from Joann's Fabrics
🖤
Will this pattern work with bulkier yarn? I just finished the 56 chain and my diameter is a couple inches too big
Yes, it should work without any issues
Can this be made into a skirt just by having a wider band?
I'm sure if you adjust the pattern it would work!
are the rows after row 6 supposed to flare out? my first 5 rows are straight and then the rest are flaring
yes, it's creating the slouch
@@LifeWithLisa3434 my hat was crinkly and wasn’t laying flat like yours was though. i started over and the same thing was happening…
Beautiful pattern!! What hook is that?
Thanks it's a J hook, 6mm
@@LifeWithLisa3434 I meant brand...I like the shape of it!!
@krista0222 lol, sorry about that. I can't remember the brand but I know that I only find them at Hobby Lobby!
My project came out stuff what did I do wrong ?
it's probably your tension
@@LifeWithLisa3434 thank you I retried to project and it came out better !!!
Is there a reason why the bottom of the ribbing would curl up? I've redone it like 3 times and it keeps curling upwards at the bottom lol
only reason I can fathom that happening is your tension may be too tight. otherwise, it should lay flat.
Can this hat be made for a child?
Of course! You'd just have to customize it to fit. Taking measurements should help! 😊
Has anybody ever made a slouchy using the Livers Knot stitch? I've searched and searched and cant find one...... Thank you in advance. 😊
never heard of it...I'll have to do a little research
