I think you're a winner - to see the hat actually being worn is much better than seeing only on a plastic dolls head. Now I know I'll wear it too once I've made it.
Just noticed of this cute slouchy Beanie design, I spent a little time before bed, took me two nights, and I made it, looks really cute. Thank you so much 💓
Very cute hat just crocheted a simple hdc sweater vest had yarn left making this hat to match. Have a Tiktok and will be listing hat by you on TH-cam I always share where I get my patterns. Also just subscribed.
Wow, thank you so much! I really appreciate it! I'm hoping to get a TikTok started myself soon. What's your TikTok account name? And what a great idea to make a matching hat for your vest! :)
Your yarn is really pretty - what kind/color is it? Using your video, this will be my first time with post stitches, magic circle - first hat altogether :) Thank you for clear video and verbal instructions.
Thanks so much! As far as the type & color, I'm not sure I remember exactly, but I think it was probably Mainstays Yarn from Walmart in either grey or heather grey. And have fun making your first hat! Let me know if you have any more questions...I'm happy to help. :)
Hi, thanks for your tutorial, I like this hat. But I have one issue, in written pattern (row 15) is 46 stitches and in a video is 48 stitches. Everytime came out with 49 stitches. So what is wrong?
Hi Tereza! You're right, I miscounted, it should actually be 52! (I'll update the pattern and the description above now). I just got out my yarn and hook and re-did it again and it's 52. If it's a little loose on you, though, you could always decrease three stitches together a few times in Row #15 (or reduce the number of sc to one, between a few of the decreases).
Even though you tried very hard to explain the procedure, but you didn’t clearly show the numbers of the first few rows, or at least you can write down the numbers.
Sorry, I cannot download your printed directions. It just showed your photo and that was alll that was on your page for the hat. What am I doing wrong. Would love to try this hat.
I'm so sorry that happened, but honestly I don't know why. I just checked it on my laptop & iPhone and it's working on both. Are you able to scroll down? The pattern should be below the photo. Try this link and please let me know if it's working for you: maplewoodroad.com/crafts/slouch-hat-crochet-pattern/?print=print
Thanks so much for your reply. The link you sent took me straight to your instructions. I cannot wait to begin! I'll definitely let you know how this turns out.
Love the slouchy but hard to follow as you don’t say row your on and you error wording at times. Be great if you could go wee bit slower beginning of each row. I’m learning and it would be wonderful if row count mentioned to go back too when needed.
Thank you for this video. I made this hat and it is beautiful. I had one issue. During the decrease row I never came out with the 46 stitches. It was more like 52. Do you know what I could be doing wrong?
Hi Carmella! I'm so glad you like the hat, thanks! As far as the decrease row, I'm not really sure what happened there. If it's a little loose on you, you could always decrease three stitches together a few times in Row #15, to make it equal 46 for that row....or decrease the amount of single crochet stitches in between. But if it fits, no one will ever know! :) I'll be making this hat again this winter and will make sure it's not a mistake on my end. Thanks for letting me know.

Finally finished and love it!!
Yayyyy! Thank you! :)

@riegelsvillehalloween4482 This stylish Beanie is really beautiful, the design fits me well. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you!❤
Thank YOU! :)
It is reallly adorable! I’m a new crocheter, and love this.
Thank you so much! :)
Love this pattern once I got the hang of it.
Fantastic, thank you! :)

@@maplewoodroad Thank you for your reply. The issue was solved 😉, I made a ribbed edging and it turned out nicely.
@@terezaz9544 I'm so happy to hear that. Sorry for the mistake and thank you again for letting me know! :)

I ended up with 48 single crochet and used. 5.5 hook instead of 6. Fits me better.
Perfect! Thanks so much for the feedback! :)
Rows 6-14 do not seem to be enough to produce the slouch that I see on the hat you are wearing. Are you sure you are not adding more rows?
Yes, I'm sure. Are you using a K hook? They're fairly large stitches. If you'd like even more of a slouch though, you can certainly add more rows. :)
Dhang , you’re too fast and it’s not for beginners
