It sure is a kick ass peak. Awesome job.2 thumbs up. Funny that I was planning my visit to north cascades and this pops up. Not that im going to do your hike .lol. Im a solo 60 yrs.old woman. I just came back from olympic national park.
I'm glad you stumbled across the channel! That adventure is definitely in my top 5. I heard Hurricane Ridge is on fire out there in Olympic. Hopefully you didn't have to worry much about that! Keep crushing it Christine! Cheers!
Absolutely incredible hike. All I can say is, damn!!!😅 epic doesn't even come close to describing it. Thanks so much for taking us on this incredible journey. You guys killed it!!
Thanks Jason! Your comments are inspirational, I truly appreciate it! I can't wait to edit and share this past summer's adventures! Got some incredible footage this season! Cheers!
Right on dude! Washington is such an underrated mountain state. I just moved to Utah and no one here seems to quite grasp how mountainous where I came from is haha. The Wasatch is great but it’s not a comparison alone to the cascades lol. People just mention the volcanos of WA but the North cascades are where it’s at! The mountains would’ve gone on ever further for ya if not for some of the smoke you had. Black Peak is a classic, did it a couple years ago in October. Loved it from start to finish! Hope you get to see more of the state on your future adventures🤙
You hit it right on the nose! Washington is unreal, we just got back from another week of adventures, I can't wait to edit and share those videos! We were blessed enough to spend two separate weeks out there this August! Lucky we didn't have as much smoke 👍🏼 love those American Alps!
I live in Salt Lake City and I’m with you. I love the Wasatch more than anything but they just are as “mountainous” as most other mountain ranges, especially the North Cascades!
Amazing! 🙌 Just be safe out there! You ever think about putting together a top ten list? Your ten favorite hikes ever? Just curious, since you've experienced a whole lot of incredible!?! 😲😍 5,500 feet is insane! I'd never try this one, but definitely impressed. Hoping to get up to Sahale Glacier in the Cascades... "only" about 4,000 feet on the ascent, trail the whole way. Looks mind blowing, but since there's no route finding or scrambling it might be too tame for you guys! 😉🤷♂️
That's a good idea, I'll have to think about that 👍🏼. I have so many videos to edit from this past summer I'm not sure I'll have time 🤣 , I can't wait to share this summer's adventures with people! Just got off Sahale a few days ago, it's top ten for me absolutely! I'm so excited to edit that adventure! Thanks for the idea about a top ten!
Thanks Mike! You live in my dream land 🤩 can't get enough of the PNW, headed back out in August for some more adventures! Glad you found the channel 😁 Cheers!
Epic hike! May be my favorite video and definitely added another area on my to-visit list. Do you all do any overnight backpacking besides the epic day hikes? Thanks.
Thanks Andrew! That was my favorite adventure to date up until this past trip to Washington, I can't wait to edit it! We are planning on a backpacking trip next summer but for now it's big day sufferfests 🤣 so glad you enjoyed this video! Cheers!
Loved this one Matt! Your son is growing up fast. Awesome seeing you guys taking on new challenges together. My dad and I are close too, just wish he was as active as I am lol.
Thanks! I'm trying to enjoy every minute because who knows how long any of this will last 😁 I'm glad you enjoyed this video! I had so much fun editing it. Cherish the time spent with your father, cheers!
Just Beautiful! Words cannot describe all the eye candy that you and Dylan see on this trek. All the mountain peaks! WOW. What time did you make it back to the car?
Well... we were on track to make it back to our vehicle around 5 or 6. We were flying that particular day. When we made it down the scree field with the snow on it, Dalton realized that he had left his phone up on the saddle 🤣. So I waited while he went back up to get his phone. It only took him around 30-40 mins but he added another 500-1000 feet of vert to his total 🤣! I got a nice nap in while I waited 🤣. I completely forgot about that story!
This is the area, obviously, the only way in is Washington Pass, which many take/hike down and out of Lake Chelan. It is the big peaks. Can't do the rock hop anymore. if you cannot do 20 squats with one leg might want to consider using the trails. Big rocks take stepping down 2 feet or more and one leg takes the load. Times 10,000.
I absolutely agree! I was there 3 different times in the past year and plan on heading back this August for more 👍🏼 the adventure possibilities are outstanding!
You are absolutely crushing it with your insanely great videos. You are an inspiration to making better documentations of adventures. And you had great weather in a place that is infamous for bad weather. What a summit view you got to experience. Can I ask you if you could watch one of our videos just to hear what you think. Strawberry Lake moose on Mirisfrimo Outdoors channel. I would love to hear your opinion because you are making videos that truly rock. A party for our eyes to follow along with you. Thank you for sharing with all of us.
Thank you very much for the comment, I truly appreciate that! Our weather that trip was incredible. We just got back from Washington yesterday and had equally great weather for our adventures when we were out 😁 I'll pop over and check it out 👍🏼
Matt, you're doing world class adventures! Keep it going boyz!
Totally agree.
Thanks Jay! I know you've been here since the beginning 😁 cheers man!
"It has been a nonstop party for my eyeballs all day long" 😂 amazing and true. Love these videos!
Thanks Holly! I'm so glad you're enjoying them, I love bringing our adventures to people! Cheers!

Super incredible scenery, video, hike, scramble... OMG. Can't stop watching. Just incredible.
Thanks! One of my most favorite days in the mountains right there 👍🏼

@@TheMountainMatt it’s amazing up there! My favorite National park yet most people don’t even know about it hah
very isolated and rugged out there that's for sure👍🏼@@mmoutdoors1

Some things are best kept secret
Inspiring man. Nice job!
Thanks 😃! I appreciate the positivity.
I did this solo about 30 years ago. Bivy camp at Wing lake. Just a few Class 2 moves near the top. Nice hike.
We must have took a different route up, we hit class 4 for sure. We like to add some spiciness😃 cheers!
This was an exciting one. The further you go, the more it delivers.
Every time 👍🏼😁
Excellent!
Cheers James, thanks!
Just came across this channel. Very good production and videography.
I'm glad you found it, thanks for watching and I appreciate that comment!
another beautiful hike ... love the reference to the tetons
Thank you. Glacier, Tetons and the Cascades were incredible in the fall 👍🏼
I'm diggin' the video, well done! Looks like a beast of a climb there at the end
I lot of fun scrambling with a tad of climbing at the end 😃 I'd do that route in a heartbeat again 👍🏼 a big day but worth it. Thanks!
Awesome series of hikes.
Thanks man! I appreciate all the feedback and great information you left in multiple video comments 👍🏼
Amazing! 🙌 Just be safe out there!

@TheMountainMatt Awesome! Will definitely look forward to Sahale... and hopefully eventually a top ten!
@@TheMountainMatt Hope the smoke wasn't too bad in the Cascades! 🤞🔥🌲😥
it was minimal, so that was great! We got up high and could see the layers of peaks in the distance. It was amazing! @@greatestshow99
Gorgeous scenery, cricket legs.
🤣👍🏼
Great videos! We live in Stehekin and have hiked many of the trails but few peaks. Fantastic! Nice job!

Thank you for the video. I'm still debating doing the final ascent. How was the scree?😂
The scree wasn’t bad. There’s some tricky climbing at the final step to the summit. Down climbing was tricky as well. Not terrible though 👍🏼
