Don’t confuse ml and mg. The pens contain a prescribed amount of the drug in a 0.6ml dose. If you inject 2.5ml you would be taking just over 4x a single dose 😳
@dianastaplehurst3259 politics. They want to prove that there's enough supply to even allow throwing away extra so the drug comes off FDA shortage list and they can stop compounding pharmaceutical companies from production of this molecule while retaining there patent
Hello. I forced it and came out just fine. Re. the 30 days, no need to worry. My doctor advised me to buy the 5mg and count 30 clicks ( instead of 60 a full dose is) ans this way 1 pen lasted 2 months, while i was on 2,5mg dose. Same applies in the higher doses. Hope this will help you.
@chriskat9815 yes patients have used ozempic pens for longer duration during COVID times beyond 6 weeks without any issues. As long as you have supervision of your endocrinologist to ensure the drug is effective it's fine. These protein molecules get denatured
Did you use the mounjaro pen or the ozempic pen? are you saying the mounjaro 5mg kwickpen can deliver 8 doses of 2,5mg and continue working for up to 60 days?
I am a bit confused. My doctor told me I could use a 5mg pen, count the clicks and use it in 2.5mg doses. Which means that aI could use the pen for eight instead of four weeks. Now is that possible or not? The pen says it should not be used after 30 days and on other sites I read that you can only get four doses out of a pen and then the mechanism stops working. But my doctor said that other patients already did use one pen for eight weeks without a problem. I am confused.

@JohnDoe-o5v I discourage using syringe to remove the fluid as it poses risk of contamination. Health and safety comes first. There's no need to risk ones Health for a mere leftover fluid. Take it out as Full dose by forcing the dial off needed but you can't dose click count on such cases. Please don't ignore supervision of your endocrinologist
I use a new insulin syringe and use an alcohol wipe to wipe the area when you insert the syringe. I get over a full dose out of the pen here in the uk at 0.7ml and the normal dose is 0.6ml here.
@GingerGoesGLP1 these might be 1ml syringe you are talking about. Health and safety comes first. Please ensure you have supervision of your endocrinologist
@DsmH-b4r it's same fluid as drug but not designed to come out this particular Kwikpen. It's sadly a waste and most people getting through insurance are throwing it out because not paying from pockets

Don’t confuse ml and mg. It should say on you pen how many ML are in one dose. In the UK a dose is 0.6 ml and the 5mg is within that 0.6ml. When I extract the remainder from the pen it is 0.7 ml so more than a normal dose. Does that make sense?

Have you measured the ml extracted from each syringe to determine whether the amount of liquid is aligned with the 4 other doses? Thanks
I have always used it and I can twist it without any issues. As long as it is within 30 days

Why does the manufacturer do this why not charge less for 4 doses?

@crisrocha4802 this video is only for mounjaro Kwikpen. It's not for ozempic

I used a syringe and for me the 5th dose was approximately 5 ml

@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified ok next month I will apply your advice. Thank you
I've heard that you are unable to twist the pen for the 5th dose on the newer pens. Is this true?@@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified
@@yusufk7975 Try some extra force.
If you force it it will go trust me
@katiebroome7543 yes agree 👍 I have done quite a few successful experiments as shown in video
I know people who have taken it out with syringes
Not a safe option. It's best to take it out like shown in video without risk of cross contamination

@GingerGoesGLP1 insulin pen syringe usually has calibrations in units and is not a correct replacement of millilitres.
@@Endo-Diabetes-Simplified The insulin syringes I use are medical grade and 100% ml not units.

It costs me a small fortune each month. I’m in the UK
@dianastaplehurst3259 yes it's very firstly drug.
That’s what I’d say too if I was trying to sell more pens. It’s the same liquid
🌹😍
Thanks for this. It has made up my mind though not to use it. I’d rather be cautious ❤
@lindabeeston7408 that's what I would advise to most ... health and safety come first
@ thanks for posting
