The funniest thing is most of those games are still Playstation ekslusives (Gravity Rush 2, Valkyria Chronicles 3, Sakura Wars 2019). Exlusives for third party games, always have negative impact in sales and popularity. Sadly Playstation folks in West only buy games well known and advertised franchises, and unfortunately all of those games were not that. Even worse those games were released in absolute worst possible release date (Gravity Rush 2 with Persona 5, Sakura Wars 2019 with Final Fantasy VII Remake and Persona 5 Royal, Resonanse of Fate with Final Fantasy XIII, Valkyria Chronicles 4 with Dragon Quest XI). Sakura Wars will probably get another chance, because PS4 game is considered as a worst game in series (both by critics and fanbase in Japan) and Sega knows it well they fucked with rebot. There is leak from Tom Henderson, where Sega works on new Sakura Wars game, along with new Panzer Dragoon.
I would so love new versions of gravity rush❤ I’m not really interested in getting a ps4 as I genuinely prefer handheld gaming to being tied to a home console. However I did get a ps3❤ I’d so love to play gravity rush on my Nintendo switch ❤❤❤❤ Valkyrie revolution is true Lu a unique game, a friend let me play it on their PS 4 system a while back and I loved it❤ seriously debating getting a ps4 just to have the option to play more of it…. Would love for the game to be more accessible much like Sakura wars
I didn't know about the live action Gravity Rush film, wasn't expecting that. I got into the series between 1 and 2 from Scruffy Turtle an online artist who is probably the biggest fan of the series. I fell in love with the ps4 remaster for 1 very quickly, the characters are fun and memorable, the art style is fresh and the gameplay just rocks! keeping my fingers crossed for a pc port of 1 and 2. Sakura Wars is the odd one out from this video as I have no experience of the series other than a bad crossover game on the 3ds. Not really sold on the mech pilots having to pull double duty as idols, and I don't recall seeing any choice in the playabe protagonists, I want to play as the cool lady on the cover really and not as a plain john doe. As a fan of Valkyria chronicles it always hurts to hear little it sells, this series is a gold mine for stories and characters, the gameplay and customization is great and with every entry bringing in something new, maybe the new stuff isn't carried over but the fact is that they do try to expand on the core elements a sign that the devs really want to cultivate and grow the series. One series that I would love to see come back is Dark Chromicle or Dark Cloud if your in the US, a cool action rpg set in a fantasy 1900's with time travel as the main focal point for the story and game. You dungeon delve into areas to fight monsters and collect materials to rebuild towns that you get to iump ahead into the future, while the future versions of these towns are premade for the story this series was made on the ps2, being 12 at the time and being able to build up the foundations of a town and visit it in 100 years was really cool and inspiring to me as a kid.
Gravity Rush is such an overlooked classic imo. I wish it gained more traction.
