People around me know not to take me seriously when I claim something as my favorite because everything I'm enjoying in the moment becomes my favorite lol
Love, love, love graphitint. I have them all! I also have the Kuretake graphite pans and love them as well. I also have the 12-pencil Staedler water-soluble graphite pencils as their tones are a little different than the other two. Love the painting :) Happy Labor Day!
I just recorded a video last night comparing the Kuretake set with these. I have not seen the Staedler set. Something to add to the list. 🙂 Happy Labor day!
I recently got the Derwent Line and Wash paint pan set, which has 6 Intense paints and 4 Graphitint colors, plus 2 permanent line makers. I'm glad you talked about what you like/not like, and I'm like you, I like what I'm currently using. But I think I've only used these once, so I'm digging them out again to give them more of a try. I'm really trying to not buy any more supplies until I use the mountain of things I do have. Thanks for the reminder!
I also follow what the paint shows me when I’m adding my ink. Thank you for making me understand that. I also have DeWert pencils…I like them quite a bit. Mighty Croaker! Thanks for another great one. You’re awesome.
I have Faber Castell graphite Aquarelle pencils, they're the only ones I've tried but there's no color. I find it's more like a cross between pencil, charcoal and watercolors, I've done a few landscapes not sure about the paint.
I absolutely love the Derwent graphitint. I'm going plein air painting in the cemetery today and I'm using it. I thought it would be perfect for a scene like that.
My lack of favorites has caused me to amass a bit (or maybe more than a bit) of all kinds of mediums. I haven't tried too many brands, but I do have graphitint pencils and a 6 pan set. Like many others, they are my favorites when I'm using them😅. I love them for painting rocks (as in a painting, not painting an actual rock - I have poscas for that).
They are great for landscapes. I feel the same way about products. It's good. That way when I get into a certain mood I can pick up that medium and it feels inspiring again. 👍🏻
I love your FROG'S HEAD 🎉🎉🎉 I have the graphitint pencils and enjoy using them... I get bored easily so ,like you, whatever I'm using at the time is my favorite!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed this. Changing things up helps me to be inspired. It seems like when I walk away from something for a little while and then come back to it, I have so many more ideas on how I want to try to use it. 🙂
They work very well together but I use the pencils more than the pans when I'm sketching. They add some color and they are very easy to travel with when using a water brush. 👍🏻
One of my favorite local artist and he is renowned in a way does his art on Bristol board and uses tombow markers, not archival whatsoever but everyone still wants his stuff.
A good artist is a good artist. So long as he lets everyone know that his work is not archival, I don't see an issue with that at all. I choose not to sell anything that isn't archival but that's just my preference. 👍🏻
I love the the way the tinted graphite colors work. I do have the graphite watercolor pencils, which are nice, and have been looking at the Derwent graphitint w/c pans with avarice in my eyes… *sigh* There goes my budget. Again. *grin*
They are great. I think they have a set of 12 and 24. The 12 might be all you need unless you're like me and need the whole collection. Sometimes I am excessive. 🙂
@@IllustrationsByPete BTW, at first I thought you were making eggs Benedict, but I couldn’t figure out how you were getting the egg whites to stand up and be counted…! *Heh*
I have the pencils and the paint pans and YES! please Derwent. Bring us more Graphitint pan colors! We WILL buy them. I love them and the Inktense pans and pencils too. When I’m in the mood to draw and paint but don’t want to leave the couch, they’re my go-to medium. By the way, I was raised with a mom that preached “waste not want not”. So when I’m using the pencils, I sharpen them over a ceramic dish and wet the shavings with my brush. I like my art supplies, but I don’t waste them!
They tried to trick me and put out new packaging. The colors looked different so I thought it was the rest of the colors. It wasn't. Oh well, we'll need to keep complaining. 😂
Love these too and like you need to use them more. I have the pans. If you want more graphite tinted colours check out STAEDTLER Design Journey Tinted Watersoluble Pens, 12 pencils for less than 12 Euros here in 🇩🇪. Worthy complement to the Derwent colours, at an unbeatable price.
So, this set REALLY values your work, so different in muted colors than the vibrant ones (my personal and honest opinion). I got the pencils set for outlining but since I saw this video I’m considering purchasing the watercolor set as well (I own the kuretake set already, which I really do like, but basically haven’t tried any Derwent yet). Anyhow, thx a lot, see yah
This was very nice, the perfect little splash of Pete, so much fun. Yes, I can see the frog. LOL Thanks again!
Thank you, Linda! I'm glad you enjoyed it. 🙂

The way it should be. 🙂

@@IllustrationsByPete Cool. And on the pic, I saw two cinnamon rolls!! LMAO
😂 could be.
Cool painting! I see the frog, but I also see rock formations on a plateau in the Painted Desert!
Oh, that's interesting. 🙂
Yes! My thoughts too! I was thinking Monument Valley, Arizona!
@@dustydesert1674 Yes, there too!

I enjoy both the intense and graphitint. Every time I pick them up I get a new idea. 🙂 Yes, too many art supplies and too little time. 😂
I also follow what the paint shows me when I’m adding my ink. Thank you for making me understand that.
I also have DeWert pencils…I like them quite a bit.
Mighty Croaker!
Thanks for another great one. You’re awesome.
Thank you Denise! Listening to the painting is one of the most fun parts for me. 🙂
yes same with me.... and yeah sometimes it bores myself. good to hear it from you 🙂

I have some Derwent watersoluble graphite pencils as well. I have not tried the FC version but I do enjoy them. I use them very similar to these. 👍🏻
Graphite paint... pretty cool... I like the colours, how they look on the paper.
Gives a new dimension to the drawing - nice! ❤
Yeah, these are fun. I highly recommend them if you enjoy using graphite. 👍🏻
Oh man!!! I'm trying so hard to see the frog but I keep seeing some sushi rolls standing up! 😂
I like sushi. 😂
@@IllustrationsByPete Oh, then there's a clue! Your subconscious is telling you to fulfill your desire. Quick! Go n get u some sushi, boy! 😅
I may have to take that advice. 👍🏻
You are so fun to listen to 😊
Thank you! 🙂

That sounds like a great idea! They dry quickly too so it's good for outdoor painting.👍🏻
Thanks for the demo on these; had put some of the pencils into my small pencil case for travel and limiting my choices to build a sketching habit.
They are definitely one of my favorite things to sketch with. 👍🏻

I wasn't even aware of graphic pencils other than regular pencils. I'll have to look into this. Thanks.
They are wonderful. Definitely a great deal if they are within your budget. 👍🏻
I'm gonna try I have some. I want the Derwent. I didn't know they had pencils. Pencils are my favorite so far.

I see 2 plates of biscuits and gravy

Good Grief, what the heck is DeWert????? I meant Derwent. Crazy lady. 😂
It's just a cool nickname. 😂
