Can probiotics really help your allergic dog stop itching and scratching?

I take probiotics myself and I switch from Natural Factor and Solaray. I give her one capsule a day. I also give her Optigest. Since Optigest is just prebiotics do you think I'm giving her too much? I can say that the combination of the two has helped so many problems with skin, allergies and shedding. The bad breath stopped when I added Natural Factor. 🤗 As always thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

My golden is chewing his leg off until it irritate to a pump. Hair lost to alopecia spot .

Have you tried dr shiba dog treat supplements? It has probiotics too. My dogs are on their 2nd set of jars. I noticed great improvement on their fur - shiny & silky. Specifically with my adopted dog (which i think is a mix bearded collie). His dry fizzeled, easy matted fur now has less matting, shiny, smooth & silky. Works on my beagle too.
And their in form of treats so easier to feed on the dogs. Just want to share for alternatives. Thank u.
My bulldog keeps getting a tail pocket infection. (Cork screw tail) Could you do a video on how to remedy this? I've heard of quite a few people with this issue in regards to the bulldog breed. Would a probiotic keep it from coming back if it's able to be cleared up? Also what do I use to clear it up? Do u think apple cider vinegar + an antiseptic wipe twice a day would be to painful? Different vets keep offering antibiotics but all it does is give him a sick tummy and not help the underlying issue. Thank you for all ur videos

My Chihuahua has horrible itching too and I feed him a freeze dry raw food. It has to be environmental. I was just wondering what color your Chihuahua was?
I have tried everything I possibly can even resorted to apoquel a couple times and could kick myself every time I did it. Now I am going to try to go the Probiotic prebiotic route.
My Chihuahua is bigger in size about 12 lb. I'm not sure why maybe different types of breeders. He has long bright white hair with one black eye and little spots and a couple of brown spots. He's been on good food his whole life and is 6 years old and just started having horrible allergies the last 3 years.
I no longer give him vaccinations and haven't for a long time. I try not to put any flea medicine on him or in him. I think maybe he has taken one antibiotic once for his ears. I try to wash his feet every time he comes in from outside. We do not have our own backyards so we have to go on walks in a lot of rotten leaves and grass.
I have environmental sensitivities but his are worse than mine. He will sneeze when it's 20° outside.
I know this sounds crazy but I think that mold and fungus are out of control and they contribute to yeast issues on their bodies.
There are airplanes that spray stuff in the sky to try and control the weather or to take care of climate-change. How ever you want to put it, there are papers right out in the open. You can find out information on zero engineering.com. They spray sulfur dioxide, aluminum, bromide and I'm sure anything else they want to. I wouldn't bring it up if I had not done the research on it.
Our food is affected, our pets food is affected and everything that grows on the Earth gets affected and that's the problem.
You hardly see the Sun at night anymore. Clouds are so fake and the lines that are made by the airplanes and how they spread. I promise you look it up. I get angry and talk about it because I feel like it's affecting my dog and me.
My dog is my best friend and I would do anything for him, and I don't know how I can stop what they are doing.
I have worked for veterinarians before haven't always seen the best practices when it comes to the pets. It's nice to see a doctor who is willing to step away from all that and look into natural healing.

I have a cat who is? Years old probably 8 - 10. She is picky.
Now she is even more and won’t eat much grain free dry food, tuna I buy at y he grocery store except licking the juice/ none of the ‘meat’. She wants the greenie treats with a soft center or the new squeezable soft treats, but of course, she is getting bored or just back to picky.
What can I do for her? She doesn’t like my cooked meats either🤨
Canned/Homemade food is best. High protein. Sometimes adding the probiotic fortiflora on top encourages eating.

Yes, the Dogs Naturally Magazine website has an article on Quercetin and I also give it to my dogs as needed.
Ordered today. My 13lb dog's seasonal (fall in NE USA) allergies have kicked-in earlier than usual. Sounds like she only needs 1/4 capsule daily. Gonna be tricky to deal with that.😬

The animal probiotics sold here in South Africa are based mostly on cow dairy bacteria and my GSD is highly allergic to cow dairy anything and itched worse on this probiotic. If he has anything goat dairy (kefir, yoghurt etc) he is fine so I give that rather. Not risking him on cow anything anymore, even if its in a probiotic.

My Shihtzu girls love kefir...about a couple of table spoons a day. They go crazy for it. Plain whole organic milk has no sugar added.
Unpasteurized goats milk is great for them. Freezer section in pet stores.

I tried some of those pro biotics for my little Frenchie, no dice! I give him 1 Zyrtec in the morning and if it's Bad by The end of the day I'll give him a benadryl before bed 👍👍👍

Id like to send you a video of my dogs breathing. Im concerned because she starts beating fast out of nowhere and starts breathing nornal again after like 5 fast deep breaths that she took. If this a normal thing in dogs? I am a first time owner.
How old is your dog? My senior dog had heavy breathing related to heart failure. Visit your vet.
Some probiotics can be high histamine so they can actually make things worse in some cases.

For skin tags, try painting them with iodine. I would use something like 2% Lugol's iodine since your dog might lick the area. I use iodine with my cats and haven't had any issues.

@@barbarasiliven1887 Check with your vet first. He or she should be able to give you that info. I give my Chow mix who is 60+ lbs fish oil for dogs from Nutri Vet . It took about 6 to 8 weeks to take effect.
My one dog takes a probiotic and he seems itch free. I never ever see him scratching himself, anywhere. My girl refuses to take her probiotic even when I try to mix it in her food, she seems to be able to smell it then refuses to eat. She really needs it. She's very itchy, everywhere. Poor girl.

Chicken is making our pets very sick.
Its corrupted. That's why so many pet stores sell such strange products these days. Turkey is cleaner. Human grade food is best. And yes I disagree vehemently with these vaccines.
They are killing pets and also destroying their health.
