Great video Oliver and a shame your goldfinch hen passed away had same problem my goldfinch cock passed away and my isabel european siskin cock so it was game over for me only had the two cocks for mules but did manage to get 3 mules x with isabel european siskin and iris fancy hen they come out like micro mules and really nice colours all I have left is 3 iris fancy hens and goldfinch hen so not done very well on my second time breeding birds but all hens are laying eggs still but no cock bird to go in so it's back to stafford show when it's next on to get two new cocks for next year all the best from Paul from Staffordshire England 🇬🇧 👍

Chances are she will start moulting whilst sitting the eggs or rearing the chick's but you might get away with it
