Crazy to think Kimbo died not even 4 months after this fight.
One of them almst died during that fight, the other died months later. Its place in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter as the most disgusting promotional tactic of 2016 is well deserved. BTW, congratulations to Bellator for being the only MMA promotion to win the Most Disgusting Promotional Tactic Award in a magazine that is dedicated to pro wrestling.

Brand new here, and your channel is very cool I'm a huge MMA and Muay Thai fan. I can't even count how many fights where a fighter starts losing - and they intentionally throw a deliberate low blow. Using that injury time out as a rest for themselves. In Thailand if you receive a low strike, the only time out is if the strike dislodges your cup and your corner has to re-tie and fix it. That decision comes only after the ref grabs your cup and moves it around until all your bits are covered. Other than that, the ref gives you just a few seconds, and orders them to resume fight. If you can't continue from accidental first groin strike - technical KO AND in most cases, the ref will turn a blind eye to an illegal strike from the injured fighter. In other words if you intentionally or accidentally nail a muay thai fighter in the nuts - there is an elbow to the back of the head, coming your way. If multiple low blows a point deduction. I saw a fighter killing a guy, and the losing fighter kicked him square and the whole stadium said ouch. Most men can't recover and be half as effective after a severe strike. This dude got up, stayed calm and unleashed a 4 elbow combination that left a tough man crying in pain and leaving the ring on a stretcher.
