Thanks for this. Bought this knife years ago, spring broke the first day i owned it. Finally got around to ordering a new spring kit for $7.95. This will make the install easy.
Great video. Just watched it. Very useful. My knife would only open half way. Couldn't believe how much gunk was in there. Springs open like new again. Thanks
Thanks. Just got one of these and the safety lever was super loose and wasn't engaging. I was able to tighten it up just by taking off the scale. Works good now.
Big help. Spring in my Strike Plus broke in less than a year with very little use (mostly just sat on my desk). No help from dealer Blade HQ. Dropped the push button spring into the carpet twice during this process. I wouldn't have noticed until too late were it not for this comprehensive video. Package of two springs from BladeOps for $8. Good price, except I'll probably lose the spare before I need it! Thanks.
Great video AND, thank you btw. Your video on the recon 1 tanto disassembly helped me to fix a "mystery" rattle which was caused by a loose locking pin. Drove me NUTS until... I saw your video! I subscribed too btw. Thanks again!
Such a seemingly stouter build than the Kalishnikov. I just had a Boker Jim Wagner reality based blade, manual, that I put a spring in, kick my ass 3 times till I got it right. I dumped the video into the recycle bin. Maybe another time.
Needs synthetic oil on friction washer contact areas and grease on spring contact areas. Then you can tighten further and maybe reduce play. Also, I heard reinforcing or replacing the trigger spring can help with tighter action. Other than that, good disassembly reassembly video.
Is it normal to have a little play in the blade? Mine has had a little wiggle in the blade when opened since I got it two years ago. From what i can tell if the tolerances were a little tighter i wouldnt have the wobble.
Hello! Thank You for the nice video. I have a Böker Plus Strike tanto and the opening is very smooth compared to another Böker Strike Plus, and this depends on the hardness of the spring. So after seeing your video I would like to change the spring maybe getting a more snappy opening. The knife is NEW but I ‘ve got from a friends from the States ( live in Sweden ) and I don't think Blade Ops will send me the springs. Could you give me some indication on the springs? 🙏Thank You very much .Sandro
Hello David! I also wants to change the spring to my new Strike plus Tanto( is not very snappy ) . I don’t know the springs size ,neither where to purchase them ( Blade Ops is the only chance , I guess…). Where did you find the better springs?
Damn. Wish I hadn't watched this. I bought the S30V version from Blade Ops 3 days ago. I usually disassemble, clean, and lube all my knives. Never had a problem until now. The spring on mine has the upper pin in a different location, making it impossible to put back together. Blade Ops says since I took the knife apart the warranty is void, so basically I have a bunch of parts that will never again be an assembled knife. Be smart. Don't take this one apart!!!
@@megaronknives3032 I'm not blaming you for posting this lol. Unfortunately while struggling (for several hours) to reassemble, the tiny spring that activates the button lock shot across the room. I spent over an hour with a flashlight looking for it, before giving up on it. Also the pivot spring has the part that goes into the knife tang is in a very akward position, mush different than on your model. I'll probably just hold onto the pieces until I find a replacement for the spring I lost, and use it as a button lock knife, the way Boker intended. For those that don't know, these Strike and Kalishnakov autos are aftermarket modifications, ( it was an employee at BladeHQ that first discovered how easy they are to convert) and Boker won't cover them under warranty, as they were only originally sold as button locks.
Thank you for the reassembly introduction/demonstration. Very helpful and informative!
My spring broke and i got replacement from Boeker today. Hope the new spring lasts longer. Thanks for video.

Glad i could help, if it breaks that quickly you can contact the place you order it from, that should be covered by the warranty.

Glad i could help you out.
Thank you for the helpful video! It made assembly/disassembly 10X easier.
Many thanks from Russia! Very helpful!

Thanks for the video. It helped me tighten the safety.

The button/ trigger spring from Boker is actually quite good, i have seen much worse than that in more expenisve autos. Good tips btw. Thanks man.
Thank you !
Thanks!👍👍
Thank you,
I been wondering how to really clean this knife going on 2 plus years in the pocket. With just being cleaned with water..
Good budget buy , it reminds me a lot of the Gerber 06 Automatic and
Gerber 06 Fast Assisted.
Boker make affordable quality.

that´s normal for most auto knives, especially in that price range. No worries.
Nice Video

Can someone tell me what spring size this takes as I want a heavier spring and can ro;let washer be used on it and if so size. Thanks
Mines safety is a little bit loose and makes a sound do you have the same issue;
if you take the front scales off, you can tighten down the safety on the screw from inside
What upgraded spring would work best I want max torque
Nicey video! Fank yoo.
Can this knife be made into non-auto?
yes if you remove the spring. Would go with a different knife in general for that though..
Does anyone know the spring size? .375 or .50? Just bought 2 boker pluses and found better springs to put in them

Does anyone know what size the spring is? I lost mine 😂
Contact the place where you bought it, Boeker will probably replace it.

It's not simple with this one. Had to try it a few times as well. Keep trying it should work

Oil your knives as soon as you get them out of the box.
Blade or pivot point?
