Ive got right and left handed Kalashnikovs, and a Kalashnikov XXL. After 5 years they all work just like new, just look worn out.. considering my options for refinishing them. They're black, but mostly aluminum colored now.
I bought this know years ago with no spring. Then I ordered one but it fits poorly and only snaps open of the main screw is loose. Any advice or suggestions? Maybe somewhere to buy a strong high quality spring that fits correctly? Thanks.
My spring isnt really broken and the knife is only a year old but the spring looks very warped and the knife doesnt close as far down in the scales as it used to. Already ordered replacement springs to see if i can get it closing like new so i dont get scratched again by reaching into my pocket
I just ordered the XXL from Bladehq. Do I need to do the spring upgrade? Description on their site said something about an aftermarket 3rd party spring.
@@bladeops Thank you. I went back and read a little deeper. Mine will have the aftermarket spring and other upgrades. I'm super excited to get it delivered tomorrow, Saturday.
Have 3 Kalashnikovs, the oldest is 4 years old, and they're all as tight and snappy as the day I bought them.
Great video, all I needed to know was how to tear down and put back together to thoroughly clean it out
Great tutorial. Same process works for replacing the spring on most automatic knives.
Appreciate it, I’ve had 2 break that spring in about 4 years. Found the replacement for both springs for $9. You’re the man!
Thanks for sharing your technique for replacing the spring. I would’ve never figured out a good way to get the scales back together.

Thank you so much John!
I don’t understand how he so easily took out the pivot screw. The back piece just spins no matter what I do
Thanks. I got a defective product and the spring broke, this helped me a lot
Very helpful! Video was well done too!
Any tutorials for changing. Out the spring in the intention II?
No need to do it yourself. They carry a lifetime warranty through Cobratech.

Did it work?
Does the broker plus strike have the same spring?
How do I keep the back of the pivot screwfrom spinning. I can’t even get past the first part because no matter how tight I hold it the back spins
I want to add a spring to a boker jim wagner knife, looks the same. guess I better check for the hole in the blade.

by the looks of this, I can put a much larger and stiffer spring in there.
