  • Disassembling any push button automatic knife can be fairly dangerous if you don't properly respect the spring blade, so come watch me do it! This is probably the most common side opening auto in the world, the Boker Kalashnikov.

    Thanks man, this video really helped me to reassemble my knife. It's not the same model or brand, but it's the same concept. I was fixing my Maddox Tanto, and I couldn't figure out why my knife wasn't springing open after I reassembled it. Turns out, I didn't even realize that it had a spring in it and accidentally left it out when I put it back together. Your video really made reassembling my knife easier AND allowed me to realize that I was missing the spring. Thanks man.
    P.S - It really is easier to reassemble knives like these with an extra set of hands.

    Thanks for posting this. I wanted to make sure I was approaching this right. I broke the pocket clip on mine a while back and just got a replacement.

    Helpful man, thanks. I found an Ak74 couple weeks ago. Old and Grimed up, and did not spring open only opened like a basic folder. Broke it down and cleaned it and got the spring bent back into service. Now I press the button and she leaps open with a definitive pop.really a cool little carry piece.

    This was incredibly helpful. I just got one and wanted to clean and oil it, but was worried it might be too much to deal with. Unexpectedly simple design, shouldn’t be much trouble. Thanks for sharing this video.

    I felt confident about opening mine up when you disassembled then all the confidence left when you tried to put it back together and had to edit

    My recommendation to anyone buying these knives is to order some extra spring along with it because it will be weak when it arrives.

    Please start using graphite lube in your knives fellas. It does not attract dirt, and will not rinse out with water. Only 100% alcohol.

    Thats how deformed my spring is and the whole spring looks brown and without the spring the knife closes like normal but with the spring its doesnt close as far and creates a potential to scratch me when reaching into my pocket. Guess ill have to buy a new spring and see if i can fix it. It not even a year old yet.

      @@DaveLikesKnives I've tried that, they do NOT provide any service. Won't send a spring, won't even send the dimensions of the thing, and RUDE as hell on top of it.
      Last Boker knife I've ever gotten.

      @@DaveLikesKnives 😂,keep up the good work,I'm knew to the knife world and i really like them but damn are they expensive others than the fact that u don't get any good branded ones in india.

    • @DaveLikesKnives
      @DaveLikesKnives  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Define expensive. If you’re in India, could you tell me some about the market there? What do you have access to and how much does it cost? What is the knife culture like? Do most people carry one, what is the legality surrounding knives? You said you’re new, what got you into the hobby? What has been your experience so far?
      Sorry for the deluge, your comment just sparked several layers of curiosity. Answer any or none of them as you want.
