Lol, really, don't sweat about not realizing it was Matt at the beginning. You were not the only one. Their tone is very similar even if their style of singing is different (Scott is a bit breathier, but also smoother, more poppy, I guess; Matt is a bit more straightforward with his vocals and more on the classical side) and if I wasn't way too obsessed with Scott's voice, I would have a hard time telling for sure too :D.
@@YvesAndDeisiReacts I was only able to tell when Matt went for the higher notes, that's where his tone deviated enough from Scott's way of getting to high notes that I could really tell. The transition between them was almost completely seamless and confused/surprised a lot of people.
Congrats on 10k! Mitch and Kirstin are so close in voice when they want to be. Scott and Matt are close too. I think the blend is part of the reason they picked him.
Pumba corrected the person who said they thought the stars were "a million fireflies..." . Pumba said something like ; "actually they're a ball of gas burning and burning in space..." which was funny because he said something so scientific when he's usually the ding*a*ling.. and Timone just stared at him in shock. 😂 I got every single voice right! From beginning to end! I was scared to watch the video cause I had been very avid on TH-cam about Matt's voice and then Mitch's high part belonging to THEM and not Scott and Kirstin. 😂 I was afraid I'd have to eat my words... in shame. 😂 I don't know why I'm finding this so funny... I do know I'm excited that I can actually pick them out now! Great reaction!
@@YvesAndDeisiReacts hey. don't beat yourself up! 💖 I listen to their songs the way you react. I stop the CD and go, "wait. What?" and I listen to it again.... and again infinity. I also listen once for each person just to listen to each person's part all the way through. I do that several times per person. I study their singing. I love music! It was a huge part of my life up until I got sick. I can't even sing now because of no muscle support. It's awful to be a musician that loses the ability to express themselves through music. I also can't play keyboard or piano now. That's why I listen to Pentatonix as a whole, and breaking them down as to their technique. I am constantly pleasantly amazed by the things they do in their arrangements. and.. Matt and Scott blend really well and that's a new thing for us! You have to really listen to them. Scott's not doing as many runs and riffs or saying "hey" when he sings lately. He's also singing much lower than he used to. So fans can and do get it wrong still. And mention Kirsty blend so well when they're singing Harmony that it's hard to tell which is which when they're both singing higher notes. Unless it's A solo with somebody going really high. I know exactly who is singing then. But it's still hard to pick out Mitch's part from kirstie's part. I think, for me, because I expected Mitch to sing high notes, but he IS a tenor so I have been listening for him in that range recently. And I found him singing down there! Now that I'm on to what it sounds like when they're doing Harmony I can separate their voices. But, like I said earlier, don't beat yourself up cuz they sing and blend together so well it's very hard to tell them apart individually! But each has a tell. Just gotta discover it! 😉
