Thank you so much for this tutorial dude. I was really struggling to figure out how to do regular whips, and it turns out I was doing it all wrong. I was rolling my right stick downwards instead of upwards to bring the bike back, so my rider was leaning back in the middle of the whip. I'm slowly adjusting my muscle memory but I can finally whip consistently :)

Have always been amazed about those over 90°, close to a 180° type of whip!! There is just no way to get even close without a high throttled backwheel :D (talking about mtb)

Mx vs ATVs, MxGP, or monster energy need to make a well rounded game with good Graphics, and good mechanics. Especially the air mechanics like in this game. Would be so much fun!!
Nobody would play it because the pc mx community is way more passionate than console players. And the game developers know that. It would be a loss to make a sim for a console sadly
So interesting cuz I do my oppo starting standing up and use sitting down half way thru to whip the bish back and then stand back up, also my sit button is on R3, not L3 haha trippy

When I wanted to learn to whip I didn't even look up an mx bikes tutorial, I looked up a REAL whip tutorial, and was able to apply everything they said to do whips. Only thing I didnt hear you mention was using the throttle, helps to get the bike back under you, I throttle up the ramp, lean, let it kick out, then as its coming back i pin the throttle and the bike gyros back beautifully.
Bikes man. Sim is pretty much done, it ain't getting any better. Bikes is still being developed and there's already so much more you can do than on sim
i use the exact same controls but recently i switched sit to right stick bc i find turning is impaired too much in races. right stick allows for turning while sitting

i made sit right bumper and use throttle with middle finger. no messing around mid corner or having my thumb slip trying to click it in

yo if u have monster energy supercross 4 this does work. i think it should also work in number 3
the first bit works fine. the over bits dont really. but overall its pretty cool

never mind I figured it out. Certain track creators make it so you can ride through some of the barriers.
