I use to just pause the game in this world and listen to it for hours. Now that I think about it I've always been a huge fan of background music from games/movies/anime.
Blake House same here. i loved when they released it for the gameboy. i had an SP and put my headphones in and listened to stickerbush symphony religiously. haha sometimes diddy would be spinning in that barrel round and round until i got my fill and continued playing. melodic.
+Blake House I learned hwo to play harmonica thanks to lots of game's sound tracks... DK AND DK2 wll be forever on my mind... up my death... also SUPER METROID .. im sorry for my dumb english...
After Tropical Freeze, I have a hard time going back to DKC1's soundtrack. I can't decide if I like DKC2's or TF's soundtrack the most. They're both incredible.
Absolutely outstanding. David Wise is an incredible composer, to achieve something like this on a fairly simple piece of hardware like the snes is to us nowadays blows my mind. Let's see how he'll do on DKC:Tropical freeze, so glad he's back to composing.
This actually was one of my favorite stage music compositions from back in the day. Mining Melancholy is another classic, it sounds like the Michael Jackson song "Who is it".
This piece makes me think of the onset of fall, the leaves changing colors and such. Makes me want to go walking through a forest or woods as the days pass and the seasons change from hot to cold, from green to orange/red/yellow, from summer to autumn.
Lordmewtwo the 1st Its original working title was "Donkey Kong Country 64". Plus, it had loads more to do with the early DKC games than the later ones did.
Lordmewtwo the 1st By that logic, does that mean "Donkey Kong Jr." isn't the sequel to the original "Donkey Kong" because it's not called "Donkey Kong 2"?
classics never die, people who make this songs, and the the graphics, and the characters designs, are real revolutionary people, they make the diference;
Yes they do. Some game makers still put a lot of love into their games, just like some game makers put a lot of love into their games back in the 90's. We only remember the good ones because over time, the bad ones fall into obscurity, while today, they're all still fresh, and the good are mixed with the bad.
I completetely agree! All the games you mentioned are not only in my possession but have also been played a lot! And I still love the music. Brings back all the good memories
The level designs put you in worlds you've probably never seen in games today... Mario didn't take us to a swamp level, that was gloomy, yet neat to look at, it makes me wish I was in there, just to touch the scenery... I haven't the words, I can't think right now, but the level design makes me wanna be there, it makes me wanna explore more, it always felt fresh, new, and creative and something about Rare not announcing their games makes it special to have...
est .1987 😿😿😿😿😔😖😔😖😔smh beautiful melody nostalgia I was 10 again hearing this I'm 28 now so yea time has moved forward but hey my people out there if you feel what I'm saying keep living nd fight for your opportunities were all in this together
Thumbs up for all those that listened to this back in '95 and up to now in 2012 and it still gives you the same adventurous inducing nostalgia as it did back in the day...Truly timeless music
Everyone always talks about Stickerbrush Symphony when DKC2 music is brought up but this one has always been my favorite. The melody in this song is incredible but very melancholy. Dem feels.
this song takes me back to my childhood when i would be playing this game during the christmas holidays. it would be really cold outside and there i was, real cozy in my room playing this game while the weather was absolute shit outside. i had this and hot chocolate. wonderful memories this gives me, thanks for posting this song!
God I would give anything to go back to when I was 6 years old. Before I had to deal with school and everything. Back when you could just kick back relax and play awesome classics like this. Honestly its these games the shaped me into who I am today. Mostly because of their difficulty levels and how I had to rely on my friends to help me. It shows that you can't do everything by yourself and sometimes you need help from the people around you. Thank god my SNES still works. :)
Meu Deus!
DONKEY IS THE BEST FOR EVER, THIS IS A BIG PART OF MY CHILDHOOD!! AND THE MUSIC HAVE SPIRIT THAT IS WHY EVERIBODY LIKE THIS SONG AND ALL OTHERS!! NICE UPLOAD THANKS!
Why doesn't this have more views? This literally has to be my favorite game soundtrack ever. Plus the fact that Diddy was always my favorite. Every time I hear this song I get a funny feeling. Nostalgia? :L
the sound of those ghost ropes still haunt me... this game was and is amazing. how they expected kids to beat games like this as i can still barely beat it now suprises me
Man i cant wait to play this 20 years from now and see if i still know every level by heart and all the shorcuts :P Boyy those were the dayss RIP DK games To bad they dont make games like this anymoree
Got a copy of this up in the loft somewhere (with the box too!). Definitely gonna have to get it down at the weekend and set the snes up, crazy how video game music can do that so damn well...
I can already hear those most annoying "ghost strings" which you could hold on to for like 3 seconds before they disappear in their "wooooo" sound =) .. childhood.. we miss you ..
I never really followed the Donkey Kong series(only played DKC1 and Returns), but the series has some of the best music I've ever heard. Rare really knew what it was doing.
Every time I listen to Donkey Country Kong 2 I get depressed and start to believe that this here was the peak of gaming... Maybe the peak of my childhood.
What David Wise has done with this soundtrack is capture the theme of every world the Kongs had to brave through and he did it wonderfully. You can just feel the atmosphere of an enchanted forest with hidden secrets.
I use to just pause the game in this world and listen to it for hours. Now that I think about it I've always been a huge fan of background music from games/movies/anime.

Same
im pretty sure voices of the temple inspired me pretty good also that snow level in the original 👌
DKC and DKC2 will always have the best music.
After Tropical Freeze, I have a hard time going back to DKC1's soundtrack.
I can't decide if I like DKC2's or TF's soundtrack the most. They're both incredible.
OtterloopB Definitely DK2's music soundtrack. Still mind blowing 19 to 20 years later.
Best is subjectively, but I gotta admit, this is music I have enjoyed listening to for hours at a time.
Killer instinct 🤔
Love Dk2 and the sonic games music
Absolutely outstanding. David Wise is an incredible composer, to achieve something like this on a fairly simple piece of hardware like the snes is to us nowadays blows my mind. Let's see how he'll do on DKC:Tropical freeze, so glad he's back to composing.
Did he do the previous Wii DKC game?
jimmypoopap nope, Tropical Freeze is his comeback into the DKC-franchise
David wise is a super composer. His songs are so well orchestrated I still listen to this today and have been for the past 18yrs. Amazing.
This actually was one of my favorite stage music compositions from back in the day. Mining Melancholy is another classic, it sounds like the Michael Jackson song "Who is it".
evilbadguystrikes
Yeah, I do to still feel attached to the music of this game ever since I first played it back in 1995/1996. You can tell were old.
two decades and i still feel like a child hearing this.
+JYBM Almost crying here!
+JYBM Yeah, this takes me back to when I was 15 years old kid in the mid 1990s as well.
+Alexandre Monteiro I've been there alot........
This piece makes me think of the onset of fall, the leaves changing colors and such. Makes me want to go walking through a forest or woods as the days pass and the seasons change from hot to cold, from green to orange/red/yellow, from summer to autumn.
Reading it 8 years later… amazing, and true
SNES is the best console of all time!!!!!
totally agree, besides, this music was an absolutely magic trip!!❤
I am still here enjoying this music. I published that comment when i was 13 yo lol
I agree With You Man.
ok grandpa
The first two Donkey Kong Country games are probably the best platformers ever made
Bin deiner Meinung.
MegaGoodoldtimes You're goddamn right
Lordmewtwo the 1st Six, counting Donkey Kong 64.
Remember me and my brother playing this game for days. When were just kids
desceu uma lágrima

I didn't appreciate the complexity of this song when I was younger. It is now my favorite on the soundtrack. Such a strong hint of sadness.
Be it 7th or 8th grade, even college or work... This game still rocks... so does the music, nicely composed!
Aw.... bring my old times back God!
classics never die, people who make this songs, and the the graphics, and the characters designs, are real revolutionary people, they make the diference;
vdd a saudade bate nessas horas
Verdade.
Yes they do. Some game makers still put a lot of love into their games, just like some game makers put a lot of love into their games back in the 90's. All the songs in DKC2 were incredible but this one has to be my top favorite out of all of them
IT BRINGS ME BACK SO MANY MEMORIES.... MY CHILDHOOD... =(
Most beautiful song in the game.
mérito do David Wise
You can meditate to this music.
Concordo plenamente@@allanalves7355
This is hands down The Most Awesome SNES Video 🎮 in the 🌎. This is song is my Favorite 🎶 on here.
I keep coming back to this song because it's so full of life and atmospheric, it makes me feel so warm and comforted
Enchanted Wood lol what a tongue in cheek menace Rareware is.. and what a great song
UNIVERSE BEST PLAYLIST
+Alexandre Monteiro I Agree
This is my favorite soundtrack of the game. I especially love the harmonica playing before the track loops over.
Music from Ghostly Grove, Gusty Glade and Web Woods. Good times! :)
This is still one of my favorite stage music from DK2. This particular song is great for bedtime music(relaxing).
Web wood ughh hated that stage but yeah soundtrack is right on!
Over 20 years since DKC 2's release, and this is still some of the best music I've heard in a video game.
MegaMan52 Amen!
"HA HA HA" throws box.... flies away lol
I completetely agree! All the games you mentioned are not only in my possession but have also been played a lot! And I still love the music. Brings back all the good memories

this gives me chills.
Fantastic ambiance. We really feel in a peaceful forest when we hear this !
now this is how to tell a games soundtrack can stand the test of time
This never gets old..
This is like, the single most greatest song ever. Period.
No, seriously. I can't think of a better tune atm.

This song strongly reminds me to my childhood, such incredible moments 😌😌😌
Hauntingly beautiful
only 90's kids will remember how nostalgic this this
Yup its beautiful I really enjoy this track
I mean Jan of 2000 but grew up with a SNES. I'm here too
Literally had a flashback of this level in the middle of class and couldn't get the theme out of my head :0 HA HA HA *box exploding*
I love this. I keep coming back to this one. ❤
Ai a minha infância.......

Everyone always talks about Stickerbrush Symphony when DKC2 music is brought up but this one has always been my favorite. The melody in this song is incredible but very melancholy. Dem feels.
I absolutely love this song.
One of the best music off the game. No matter how many time you have died, the music will get your hopes back up. Classic.
this song takes me back to my childhood when i would be playing this game during the christmas holidays. it would be really cold outside and there i was, real cozy in my room playing this game while the weather was absolute shit outside. i had this and hot chocolate. wonderful memories this gives me, thanks for posting this song!
Love this song so much, my favorite ost of all time
Nostalgia
Such beautiful music. it takes me back to the year 2000 when it was still the N64/GAMEBOYCOLOR era.
We need a support group. Everyone who had an experience with this game's OST has been through something intense. Worth bonding over, I love you guys.
this is probably my favorite video game track. The melodies are just so beautiful...
Donkey Kong country2 pra sempre nos nossos corações

Meu Deus!
Linda!
This game and soundtrack are definitely near the top of my all time favs. Dixie rocked these levels.
You are like the coolest guy ever for posting these!!!
this music is the definition of dude , really ! its also the coolest track of the game
This song is so well put together. I love the crescendos and decrescendos at the beginning
DONKEY IS THE BEST FOR EVER, THIS IS A BIG PART OF MY CHILDHOOD!!
AND THE MUSIC HAVE SPIRIT THAT IS WHY EVERIBODY LIKE THIS SONG AND ALL OTHERS!! NICE UPLOAD THANKS!
Its 2018 and this music shall still live on.
Why doesn't this have more views? This literally has to be my favorite game soundtrack ever. Plus the fact that Diddy was always my favorite. Every time I hear this song I get a funny feeling. Nostalgia? :L
This game had some of the best nostalgic music ever! Seriously, I have vivid memories of this game and this music :)
so many good memories playing this as a kid.

Wow, miss this so much. This is a bramble blast to the past =).
Forest Interlude is my 3rd favorite song in the game next to Crocodile Cacophony #2 and Stickerbrush Symphony #1.
I had this one on my ipod when i walked in the forest the other day. Can't think of a better song for that :D
This is still the best soundtrack for anything i have ever played or watched.
16 years later and this still kicks ass!
Need to play this tune at the hospital I work at, DKC 2 could calm peoples nerves.
This is up there with Aquatic Ambience for the 2nd best video game song of all time, Stickerbrush Symphony of course being #1…
Bife Deus dos Beats
What David Wise has done with this soundtrack is capture the theme of every world the Kongs had to brave through and he did it wonderfully. You can just feel the atmosphere of an enchanted forest with hidden secrets.
Such a spiritual soundtrack... so timeless
This brings me so many good memories!
I remember this song from 1st grade, playing it with my best friend and neighbor in 1996.
I love this game so much and i miss my childhood so much when i hear this :) .
* Tears of Joy *
I remember playing this level at the end of Christmas break during 2nd grade or so. Pretty sure I cried from this.
primeiro lugar Stickerbrush Symphony
segundo lugar Enchanted Wood
ohhhhhhh.......... HAAAAAAH!!! - Ghost ropes
corjonbett that's the sound ? Lol
ooOOOH....AAaaaah

i remember this was one of my favorite levels just because of the music. some much nostalgia, makes me wish i was 4 again :(
2024 ❤❤ still playing this on emulator, still loving this game even in my 30s now.
