Using the White Bread method to remove a spigot bearing

This is the old school technique to remove a spigot bearing if you don’t have the correct tool.
Bit of bread, bolt the same diameter as the spigot shaft and a hammer.

Fuck all the negative commenters. I’ve seen the bits of rag in grease method, but bread is something new to learn. Another tool in the brain box can’t hurt

It does work but needs a tighter tolerance between the bolt your hitting and the bearing, bread or play dough is much more forgiving on the gaps. But if it works mate go with what you know

Next use whole grain. The extra fiber helps free the bearing loose.

This isn’t a shop, just our home garage. Plenty of grease mate, grease is a messy method and the cost is way higher than one slice of bread! Thanks for the comment.

Bread really.?
You can just use some old rags lying around. Everybody has rags and just wet pieces and punch them in there one by one until bearing comes out
