It plays a lot like Winnie the Pooh Rumbly Tumbly Adventure but it's more advanced. In both games, you can collect cookies, but in Winnie the Pooh they are worthless whereas in this game you can use the cookies to buy new combat moves with. I bought them all. I could've saved a lot of time skipping the collection of cookies but the game said that all combat moves are necessary to be bought, so I didn't want to risk it nor did I feel like I had to speedrun this game. Secondly, the combat in this game is a lot harder than in Winnie the Pooh. You gotta press button combinations pretty damn quickly and some monsters do funny things such as turning the camera or covering a couple of buttons up, so you have to guess the right one. Look, I'm not saying this game is super difficult, but I found it harder than it needed to be. Especially considering the age group this game is aimed towards. There's also A LOT of combat in this game, far more than in Winnie the Pooh, it seems, which sucks because the combat is actually the boring part. Some areas also have all their monsters respawn once you trigger a particular objective. I play through all of the dreams in this game. The later levels have bigger maps, more difficult combat and overall take longer to complete. There's a final stage after finishing all the dreams and the final dream is really difficult. It literally took me over two hours because it kept crashing too lol. Anyways I forgot to include this in the previous longplay which is why it's re-uploaded now.
Robin Hordijk Well I hope I didn’t make any mistakes lol. The reupload was to include the final level. Where did you notice glitches? There might be 1-2 second lags every half an hour somewhere because my laptop is ancient and I can’t afford anything better.. but it’s just too minor to abstain from creating videos all together. Came here because of that tweet, and because Silent Hill sampling one of the game's tunes If the intention of this game was to capture Piglet's psyche, they nailed it because I now completely understand why he's so anxious.
Oh you'll get a laugh outta this~ As a child I was so scared of the enemies I would literally avoid EVERY SINGLE ONE unless the game forced me to fight them. I created my own hard mode without trying. I successfully beat the game doing this. I didn't realize how easy it was to fight them off and was basically in stealth mode for the entire game. This made it take way longer to complete and I remember being so frustrated or terrified when the game was like " lol kill the enemies " I also didn't explore every single room for cookies. I'd just grab as many as I'd need for the next area and move on. Untill the game forced me to go back and get them all. I had a very very strange way of playing this game lmao
You say that, but honestly that sounds like fun. Beat the game once the intended way, then do a "pacifist" run where you sneak past all the enemies you don't have to fight.
That's the internet for you. Just take the Backrooms for example, some guy just took a few photos of a place under renovation, posted them online, and nobody cared for years until someone randomly decided to attach a scary story at which point it exploded into a mega-popular story and even a movie. I knew the popularity was at an all-time high when someone created a video RECREATING the exact moment the photographs were taken... so interesting!
Honestly I thought I was the only one that was SCARED of this game as a kid... Parents would always take the piss out of me because I was scared of the game and would refuse to play it... Glad I wasn't the only one...
When I was a kid I would just mess around in the game hub since I had no idea how anything worked and I didn't know english, when I did actually play, I remember that I got as far as a castle/library level (the owl one) on one go, since I didn't know how saving worked lol. Good times, I should try and play it for real this time.
I'm genuinely concerned by how many people, myself included, were terrified playing this game. Like this game was made for toddlers, WHAT WAS DISNEY THINKING TRAUMATIZING OUR GENERATION!?

Well, I never got this game because, well, I was like "If it looks like shit, I'm not buying it." And good thing I didn't. By the time this game came out, I was already used to see horror movie trailers on TV through video on demand, or my dad introduced us to B-horror films from the 1950s when we were very young. But I do think the 1994 film "Dragonworld" in my opinion feels really out of place.
The striking thing about this game is that most of the levels are silent. A game like this nowadays would have a bombastic track for every level. I guess it's a reflection of the calming vibes of the pooh movies/books
What really gets me is the choice of ambiance for clearing a room. In that first elephant room, the enemy has a foreboding but light-hearted theme while it’s still around, but then you defeat it and the soundtrack drastically shifts to a desolate sample you’d hear from Silent Hill. I suppose it’s one way to prevent kids from sticking around one area too long, but it’s so strange to hear in a baby game let alone a licensed one.
Omg people weren't kidding! this whole game seems like nightmare fuel. The sound effects, the way that the enemies move, and that one place that has that horror ambience.. even the music has a weird vibe to it. This game would have totally given me nightmares as a kid.
Well, now that I'm seeing the walkthrough, it sounds like as if you would be like "Freddy Krueger" going through the creature's heads and doing a "Nightmare On Elm Street" type of thing, but for kids. I've seen many Winnie the Pooh movies prior to this one, and dang, the worst story of all is Pooh getting stuck in an ice cave, that has stuck with me in my mind since I was 3/4 years old when I watched it.
This game scared me so much I had to just watch my dad play instead of doing it myself. Thanks for uploading this, it really brought back the memories!

This game was both very difficult for me to understand how to play as a kid (the button combinations were okay until I got to the one enemy that flips the screen and then I gave up) and the game was utterly traumatizing. For a Whinnie the Pooh game, this was unnecessarily dark and had some very creepy music tracks. Nonetheless, at least it has plot and stuff to do besides only collecting things.

And it honestly unsettled me for a bit, the devs deserve like a raise. Here i thought that the Disney game i played when i was young (Epic Mickey) was the the most unsettling thing ive seen from their gaming catalogue.
I’d say Epic Mickey deals with more unsettling themes (Mickey has -blood- thinner on his hands for being responsible for Wasteland’s apocalypse), but in terms of atmosphere this game has a surreal upper hand. Epic Mickey’s soundtrack and scale are intended to come off as ‘edgy’ and ‘cool’, whereas Piglet’s Big Game’s limited soundtrack and scale have the seemingly unintended effect that you’re somewhere you’re not supposed to be. In retrospect I think Epic Mickey could have benefited from an atmosphere like this. I love the game’s OST, but at its darkest it only gets very moody and sad. There’s something about Silent Hill/Piglet’s Big Game’s soundscape that reifies the feeling of emptiness, regret, and guilt, all of which could’ve been clearly reflective of Mickey for his actions.

This is one of my favorite games on GCN. 1 Samuel 16:7 “ But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.”
