It's actually extremely impressive that they managed to put the GTA IV map on a handheld as limited as the Nintendo DS (and then ported to the PSP and Android/iOS), that's incredible. It almost makes me wish they had made a GTA for the 3DS with the GTA V map, too bad it never happened.

I still play GTA CTW on my iPhone and to be honest even it’s adapted the top-down gameplay, I really love the details they put in this game. Even the map get compressed but it’s still feel large for GTA CTW.
If the draw distance wasn't so bad you could actually play it like this. Also there are tons of identical places, with their own unique touch in each game of course
The new mission characters in GTA Chinatown Wars are Wu Kenny Lee, Chan Jaoming, Zhou Ming, Hsin Jaoming, Wade Heston, Lester Leroc, Rudy D' Avanzo and Melanie Mallard and Xin Shan.
I critizised CTW a lot, but in hindsight. It's pretty cool that I was able to basically explore most of the HD era Liberty City on my PSP. I think I'm gonna play this again
It’s pretty impressive that I’m able to recognize most of the areas from 4 in this Chinatown wars third person mod. The scale is surprisingly somewhat accurate even though it really didn’t need to be. When playing top down it’s pretty rare that I’d recognize the location from 4 but the third person mod definitely makes it way easier to recognize. They did an amazing job cramming the world onto a 128mb cartridge along with all of the audio, music, etc
I didn't know that CW was set in GTA 4's & EFLC's(TLAD & TBOGT) Liberty City when I first playing CW on my cousin's phone back in 2009 & many years later I found out CW's Liberty City actually is GTA 4's & EFLC's(TLAD & TBOGT) Liberty City becuz CW doesn't have Alderney Island & the landscape had changed to the same level as streets level, the roads on the map look "more squary" & the railway tracks moved aside to the pavement without the complex flyover bridges at the main roads/freeways, curved & sloppy roads, small hills & cliffs
Something I would love, but Rockstar will never do is a remake of GTA CW in the stle of GTA IV. I would even like a GTA CW mod for GTA IV, which is basically just the whole game modded into GTA IV. Rockstar would probably demand a cease and desist order of that though because they hate mods for their games.
Niko Bellic, Johnny Klebitz and Luis Lopez do not appear in GTA Chinatown Wars instead Huang Lee and other new characters are present in GTA Chinatown Wars.

Someone needs to make a draw distance mod for CW. That way we can truely compare

GTA Chinatown Wars is set in Liberty City just like in GTA IV and in Episodes From Liberty City.

Its a top down game fool, render distance is just enough for the camera to see and no sky box since its top down!
