Iv been watching cardiff 51 years, this season. Its true Everton took a beating. I doubt any windows were left on the football specials, at ninian park hault. They were bombarded with railway stones. The following season a car full of us set off to watch the city play at Nottingham forest. We got as far as the Midlands when we had a car crash. The car was to damaged to go to forest, so a quick look at the football fixtures and we decide to watch villa play Everton. We went in the away end with Everton fans. At the end we were let out, villa were advancing down a side street. Everton broke away from the escort to confront villa. Villa didn't want to know and run. Went to watch the city at Everton in the mid 80s in a league Cup game. I thought after the beating Everton took at np they would be out for revenge Quite the opposite, didn't see no Everton that night. Yma o hyd
I was a Cardiff fan back then and felt sorry for the Everton lads that day, I'd met a fair few Everton over the years back then and they were a good bunch of lads, most of the Everton lot that day weren't there for a row.
I am certain that Everton fans were not wearing straight jeans in February 1977. I was a regular at Anfield and also went to goodison occasionally and flares and wrangler jackets were the norm at that time. False memory syndrome from the Cardiff fan.
I was an Everton fan in '77 and I did wear straight jeans and docs but I was in the minority but in those days fans from Manchester, Newcastle and the midlands were still wearing cherry red DMs, tank tops and fleming flares.
yep straights came in 78 /79 most of these so called fights were never more than scuffles with nobody getting hammered,so called firms are good at talking up shouting and running back and fore with actual fights and most hamerings were when ten dikheads attacked 2 or 3 lads walking back from the ground
I was there that day and Yes Cardiff had us on the back foot but I can’t remember a big massacre, running to the trains I don’t think so, but yes this is one we lost
Bullshit we battled Cardiff fans in that end all game I was there we gave as good as we got I agree it was scary but we held our own in the ground that day

@garethbayiey624 All good, thanks Gareth 👍 Currently losing the will to live along with others 🙄 Don't expect to be Top 4 but just want to be competitive; Win, lose or draw in every match. Southampton also hadn't won a game until last night but still came with a game plan and popped the ball around very nicely at times and for us to just have 24% possession @ home is a shocking stat. 😡 .... I'm just on my way to pick MOYSEY up from the Tickled Trout just off the M6 and then taking him to Finch Farm 🙏💙
@@mattchristie2286 nice to hear from you. R u still doing a bit ? Never looked back since i retired. We’ve still got our tickets in the paddock but I’m a bit worried this season. Do you still sit in the lower Bullens ? Remember Cardiff 1977 well probley one of the worst rucks we were involved in.
@garethbayiey624 Hi Gareth, Yes, still with 'BB' in Skem. " Living the Dream " Yeh, not the greatest of starts for us again, is it ! Like the look of most of the players we have brought in and once Jarrad is back in defence we hopefully should start to settle down and have some sort of better shape to our team. Somewhat of a worry that Dyche was a defender and collectively currently, WE can't !!!! Ndiaye looks a real plus and can run with the ball and also like young Iroegbunam we got from Villa 👍 .... as for Ashley ' Young ' he resembles someone who has just won a competition to play for a Prem. League side for the season and not someone who has over 20+ years top flight experience and must be on some kind of yellow & red card bonus scheme from his mate in the dugout !!!! 🤷💩 .... Hopefully, better times await 🙏💙
