    3:10 I'd also recommend the Fehérvári úti Market hall in Újbuda, it is right next to the southern Terminus of Tram 4. My grandma always used to go shopping there in the early morning for fresh vegetables or other ad hoc things she needed for cooking that day.

    Love your videos, they are always so helpful :) I just went to Budapest last month but I'm considering coming back for the New Year. Is it possible for you to make a video about that at one point? Because until now I haven't been able to find any useful videos about where to stay, where to eat and where to go on New Years Eve.

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you! Glad you find them useful! :) Regarding New Years eve, we'll probably won't be making a video about that any time soon. What I can tell you is that there are two kinds of people when it comes to new years: Those who either spend the eve with their friends/family, or those who go out to bars, clubs or roam the streets for fun. There will still be a lot of people in the city center :) Places like bars and restaurants don't become "better or special" for new years, so essentially, there isn't any particular place to recommend for the evening. If you wish to have a nice dinner at a restaurant, you should book a table in advance, and for some clubs and bars, there may be a queue to get in. Of course people are a bit more upbeat and energetic, so that is what really defines the new years, and not the places themselves :) Regarding where to stay, during the night, the night service buses operate, and of course it's a prime day for taxi drivers (just don't use freelancers, only use taxis via apps, like Bolt). Since it's a popular time to visit Budapest, prices for Hotels may be a bit higher, and availability may be less. I hope these notes help a bit :)

    For the beautiful Budapest baths, my favourite was/is the Kiraly bath, sadly not open now. But a good tip is to look at the pricing for different parts of the day at some baths (they have very affordable tickets for morning sessions for example). And take your own towel.

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures

      Yes, its a pity that Kiraly doesn't exist anymore :( Sometimes there's a rumor that it will reopen but then nothing happens :(

    To feel the Budapest atmosphere even more, it's a good idea to take bus number 7 and visit the Market Hall at Bosnyak ter in the Zugló district. An unusual idea (for those who have a lot of time) may also be a walk through... the Kerepesi Cemetery, which is the Hungarian equivalent of Pere Lachaise in Paris.
    Thanks for another interesting episode. 👍
    To save money on attractions or transport to grab an extra beer in the evening is the best advice one can get!

      how and where I can take bus 7 please?

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Bus 7 is a major line going through most of Budapest all the way from the outskirts in Pest and Down in Buda, through the center of the city stopping at Keleti railway station, Blaha Lujza square and Astoria. Sitting through the whole line is like getting a crash course in Budapest from the Panel Buildings from Socialist times, through the peaceful suburbs with houses and gardens, through the city center with older and more crumbling buildings but also the refurbished areas too.

We bought 24-hour group travel cards that can be used for a family of 5 pax.The travel card cost 5000 HUF each day. The BKK staff only needed to scan 1 travel card for my whole family. We saved time and money with the 24-hour group travel card! New York Cafe is a very beautiful cafe! We enjoyed Budapest very much. köszönöm a videóidat!

    • @StuffedCabbageAdventures
      @StuffedCabbageAdventures  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hey there! It is not advised as per the BKK website to use 1 single phone for multiple people. Technically there is a way to do it but it's convoluted and risky it may not work 100% of the time. If you cannot use a separate phone per person, stick to the physical tickets/passes instead, they are also easy to get 😊

      Happy to hear you had a good time here in Budapest! And I agree, The views from Gellért hill are indeed better because you can also see the castle too 😊

    I plan to live in Hungary. It would be really exciting if you made a video about halal food in Hungary.

      With Budapest becoming more and more popular as a destination for people with colorful cultural backgrounds, many restaurants and convenience stores are popping up to cater for the special needs. Luckily if you search on google maps for Halal Restaurant, you'll surely find something that's easily accessible :)

    One question, what would be the closest (safe) hostel to Puskas stadium?!

      Hey there! Unfortunately I am not too familiar with hostels and hotels near Puskás Stadium, but I would say try to look for one on the northern side of Kerepesi road (running on the south side of the stadium) that area is more convenient, south of the road there is a large historic cemetery and lots of train tracks 😊 Budapest is generally safe, so you should be fine if you remain on the northern side of the road I mentioned 😊
