Hi guys! We're stoked that you guys are enjoying the video, thanks so much for watching! We've been getting a lot of requests for Troy's information (the engine builder). You can find his info at his website, troyjeup.com. I really hope that this means we're going to be seeing a ton more stroked V10s in the future. Make us proud, guys.
Gears and Gasoline I appreciate u told the truth about the flaws because these v10 are problematic I hate BMW for that I wish they just took the time when they but the m5 and m6
Martin Dixon Yeah that's exactly what I am talking about! We just started working and throwing money at a 1990 Maserati 224, but we are having so much fun with it Ahaha!
An m6 passed me on the highway i was doing around 90, the m6 passed maby 120. Its been 1 month since then and i still cant get that sound out of my head.
@@nxtxs1zero717 Not really, the V10 in this M6 is unique. I've been around all kinds of M cars, old and new. None of those Forced Induction Inline 6's come close and neither do the V8's. Older BMW's like the 850CI with the V12 is probably the only other BMW that comes close to sounding as sexy as this. The Naturally Aspirated sound of a high-cylinder count engine is a dying breed since every manufacturer is about downsizing engines and going forced induction these days.
Great review and I like the dude who owns this M6 but that car is over 400 pounds heavier than the automatic E92 M3 I don't know what he's on about haha.
Fee Nicks doesn't matter what he meant....Dude is spewing nonsense facts and statistics...the car doesn't have a carbon frame. He's making stuff up. There is a little carbon fiber in the bumper structure, in the roof. NOT, ANYWHERE ELSE. this guys face looks stupid as he talks. To see him shift poorly too, seals the deal. DOOFUS with an M6!!!!
I love that car. I had an M5 with the V10, long story short. vanos pump went out and BMW Northlake wanted 25,300.00 to rebuilt. So I had to trade the car back to the dealer and I got an E92 M3 but that M5 is still the car I want. My biggest regret was trading the car, wish I had kept it and saved the money to rebuilt the engine. Nothing like that V10. I'm 60 years old so I'm running out of time but when I can do it I will own another before I die !
Gerald Cole they wanted 25k for a pump?! You should’ve done some research to repair/replace at a way lesser price, of course the dealer will rip you off. They probably told you they had to order an entire new transmission assembly
no fucking way. Brandon McConnell - I flew from Wisconsin to Virginia and bought my red 135i from this guy back in 2014! Small world. Good dude who has a knack for carbon fiber as it was really tastefully done on the crimson red 135i when I got it from him, and I liked his tastes in those aesthetics so much that I have since carried that flavor over to my red E92 M3 ;) Really awesome video as always.

Brilliant video. I really love the E63 M6 or 6 in general and this one is so tastefully modded and the way his owner speaks and thinks about "their (his and his BWM)" future. Just amazing

The E63 is gorgeous and one of my favorite BMW designs of all time. One of the few cars I’d consider swapping my E92 M3 for if the right manual car opportunity comes my way.
Bought one of the first ones that came to my country in '05. Bought it in the special dark red they made exclusively for it and then painted it white like this one. Massive nightmare in terms of reliability but everytime someone asks me about it I say it's the number 1 non compromise/fun car I've ever had. What a brilliant machine...
took my '06 m6 for a 500 mile road trip, smooth, was going 110mph for most of the trip. As soon as i get home engine malfunction, brake malfunction, everything possible turns on. Took it to the shop and they said both actuators needed to be replaced. After that its back to normal. Anything can happen with this car, and you gotta dig deep in your pockets to maintain it but its like no other ride love it
awesome. Love the E63 M6 in a manual and he did the right thing by addressing the weaknesses in the motor centered around the rod bearings that plague a certain percentage of S85 and S65 motors.
he bagged it so that he can lowered it once he's out of his driveway. but I agree with you, M cars shouldn't be bagged. unless you have the same reason as this owner
My uncle, whom I live with now, owned an 08 m6 with the 6-speed just like this except it was black on black and it was absolutely amazing. He sadly sold it last year because he no longer drove it and I wish everyday that he wouldn't have, it was the first car I learned manual on and hopefully one day I will be able to buy one just like it. Also concerning reliability he had 70k miles on it and besides regular maintenance and replacing a clutch it never gave us a single issue
If they're properly maintained and aren't constantly beat on, and you don't redline it all the time, the S85's are actually pretty bullet proof engines. It's the components around them that tend to go bad, such as the SMG, clutch, etc... And most of these failures were widely reported on the pre-LCI models (06-07) and even to some extend the first year LCI '08's. Engine failure in the 09-10 models was pretty rare. I have a final year E63 M6 model and plan to keep it forever.
I have a 2010 M6 with 33K on her. I have the SMG which I like and don't understand why some don't. You have to "learn" how to use it. Simple ... And if you get it ETU Flashed to the EURO version, then most all the little irritations go away! I wish I could find a decent shop I could TRUST to install a Built DCT for the M6. That would be a dream combination! I will find a way but only on the next M6 I buy. Change the Oil every 2.5 - 3.0K with the best Oil you can find, (I currently use the factory Castrol 10-60) with factory filters. Might upgrade to Motul if I can find the right one weight wise in the V300 as I use in my Built up 135i N54. I will never sell either of these cars. I bought my 135i two years ago August with 14,300 miles on it. It smelled new then and does to this day, with 22,700 mi. on her. 6 MT, Motiv twin disk full face clutch and SMFW in Steel. Yes it's noisy, sounds like marbles rolling around in there with the clutch out in neutral. That's just the way they the sound, its normal! I think I will buy a couple more of EACH, plus spare parts for both models, with ultra low miles on them. There are a few Mercedes I would love to have as well one being a 2016 E63 AMGs. Last year for that style and that engine (5.5 liter) Mind Blowing car if you allow AMS in West Chicago, IL do their magic to it. I also have a 2002 A8L with the 5 valve V8 NA Quattro, it's an Auto but it can be built up as well to be very bulletproof. Great massive ALUMINIUM German Road missle!
if a adopting a 30 year old isn't appealing to you, I'm up for slavery, Indentured Servitude, really whatever, just say the word....i'm a computer nerd so maybe i'll be of use, or i can take courses to become a live in personal mechanic for you. The only thing you're missing is a Z3 M Coupe or roadster even, my brothers s54 M Coupe was totaled in Hurricane Katrina unfortunately, as was his 79 6 Series. i never quite recovered from watching the Z3 M get towed away.

I have ALWAYS loved this car. The design always makes me smile & I'm not even a bmw fanboy. This gen M6 is one of my dream cars but not realistic because it's scary to maintain.
Lmao the X6M with an S85 would suck so bad. It makes 380lbft at 5600 rpm. The x6m makes around 500lbft at like 3000rpm. The v10 is great, but high horsepower low torque motors dont do well in heavy cars.
Great video guys! A lot of things I didn't know about the M6 but now I now I know! This M6 looks great! Thanks guys! Looking forward to the next video!
I really love your video bro. I own my 2nd m6 and I am doing a Manuel conversion with a 5.2. Also doing same suspension. 75k on the dash. Drives like a charm. Smg is a no go

I have ALWAYS loved this car. The design always makes me smile & I'm not even a bmw fanboy. This gen M6 is one of my dream cars but not realistic because it's scary to maintain.
Keep this up guys. The overall quality of your videos are amazing. Love watching them
This is really special. Both the car and the video.
Oh my god. The sound. THE SOUND!
Beautiful car man!!.. X6M next?? the X6 needs a V10.. who agrees??
David G agreed👍
Lmao the X6M with an S85 would suck so bad. It makes 380lbft at 5600 rpm. The x6m makes around 500lbft at like 3000rpm. The v10 is great, but high horsepower low torque motors dont do well in heavy cars.
dope m6 man, and that v10 really one of the best engine sound till today..
I see this thing at Cars and Coffee at Regency all the time! It's cool to see a detailed video on it
Such a humble and intelligent dude, this video was incredible as always!!!! Keep up the great work guys :D
The V10 M5/M6 has always been on my list. Real regrets any time I didn't jump on a 6MT version I've seen.
Why don't you just export to 4K? Your production quality is unreal, but TH-cam's compression kills the image quality.
We're not fancy enough for that yet. Maybe in the future..
Image looks perfectly fine
exporting in 4k even if it's recorded in 1080p really improves the image quallity (i think thats what he was getting at)
Love the vids! keep it up
Gears and gasoline thanks for the genuine analysis of the M6.
Such an amazing production with all your videos. 10/10. And I love that M6!
Damn, I love those tire stickers. They go so good with the car
what amazing cinematography
Great video guys! A lot of things I didn't know about the M6 but now I now I know! This M6 looks great! Thanks guys! Looking forward to the next video!
This guy was literally in the perfect position for an M6
Gorgeous car with the greatest engine BMW has ever put in a production car. #goals.
I really love your video bro. I own my 2nd m6 and I am doing a Manuel conversion with a 5.2. Also doing same suspension. 75k on the dash. Drives like a charm. Smg is a no go
Superb work. Amazing!
You are my inspiration. Unfortunately, my dad is like the opposite of your dad, my dad hates loud cars and especially hates BMWs. Your car is exactly how I would do it if i had the M6 (e63) with manual. I am currently driving audi a6 3.0t supercharged. So i would definitely supercharge the m6 if i had one!
Someone in my neighborhood has one i hear it almost everyday one of the best sounding v10s
Amazing video. Loved it and the car and the owner seems like a cool guy. Usually i hate bags but this car can be an exception
Production value is top notch! New Subscriber!
Yall gonna hit 570k subscribers in no time.
Awesome video. Most beautiful m6 I've ever seen.
Love this vid dude. I just bought '09 E63, love it. Definitely want to bullet proof the engine to have peace of mind.
Mmm Mmm MMM Those shots are amazing! Stay awesome G&G!
those are the best years for BMW. still a beamer head and appreciate the new ones but the e46, e60 and e63 are godly.
Best looking M6 I've ever seen.
Awesome man! V10 manual Bimmer is like a dream!
ben&ben.. wow.. neva fail 2 impress me... quality takes time ... good job... Make more please... 😊👌
I was so close to buying one, but like you said the maintenance on these cars is what made me shy away, so I ended up buying a corvette lol
