So many people bagged on this car. I bought an '18 SES and I'm very pleased with it. It feels sturdy, handles well and has been reliable. It's got sport suspension and paddle shifters for a little extra sportiness when I want. It's not real powerful, but power is adequate. It can also tow up to 2000 lbs. since it has a torque converter instead of a fragile CVT. With the high ground clearance, it laughs at deep snow, and with heated seats and steering wheel, it's fun to drive in the winter. It has no problem handling the freeway at 75 mph, and it's quiet and comfortable on long trips. I average around 26-27 mpg in mixed driving. Not great, but not bad for what it is. I'll keep it for the rest of my life.
These cars are great for Europe with smaller roads. I dont understand what is wrong with the ecosport, its a good quality car. If you agree, leave a like and reply😊
I bought my 2020 EcoSport not really because I was in love with the vehicle or anything... But because I got it for $7,000 under MSRP before the car market went crazy. This was the cheapest AWD vehicle I could find. I absolutely in no way regret the purchase. It's a great little SUV. The only negative I can come up with is it's just a small vehicle. Taking my camping gear and another person in this thing can be very interesting.
As someone who lives in a much denser city where parallel street parking is a daily thing, the Ecosport's more compact size makes it a much better option than longer cars. You can fit this thing into very small spots that most people can't get into. And with room to spare. Its a little luxury that isn't brought up enough I think.
I rented an EcoSport in Vegas last year specifically because so many reviewers hate on it. It was a really nice car. It was the 3 cylinder turbo and it wasn't fast but perfectly fine. I took it out to the Hoover dam and it had no problem keeping up over the elevation changes. It had lots of nice features (CarPlay, ambient lighting, a little sunroof, heated seats, etc) and the size is nice (I like small cars). The ride was comfortable. Handling was just fine. If you could get it under MSRP I'd say it's a great little car.
Traded in my 2011 Fiesta for a 2019 SES as my 2nd vehicle and no regrets. Still got my F-150 for Truck stuff and the ecosport for daily driving. Worth the purchase.
I test drove this small SUV, I really liked the interior and technology! The I4 Engine felt very weak especially for 29 mpg highway. But if you find one under MSRP it's a good vehicle!
I own one of these to drive back and fourth to work. It is no different than any other appliance. Works well. Does what i need it to do. I recommend this if you have a longer drive to work and dont care if you turn any heads. I have a 2021 powerstroke for that. Like i said, appliance
I love my Ecosport. This is even the color I have. I have the SE though so no ambient lighting, but I have copper accents on the doors and dash which are pretty.
Considering buying one of these, simply because of the cost of the 2022 in 2023. Need an A to B daily driver I can count on. Also looking at a 2023 VW Jetta 1.5T S. Cost basically the same.
On my last visit to Salt Lake City, I rented an eco sport and drove it to park city. To say it was sluggish going up the mountains is an understatement.
@@anthonymarinelli9224 It's less dense. All cars are slower at high altitudes due to the thinner air. A powerful car will feel a little less powerful. A slow car like the EcoSport is really going to feel slow. But, people don't buy these to race them. They just want a reliable, useful runabout, and it does the job well.
It’s alright. It does what it does well. Nothing fancy but does it well. Yeah you can get a Escape but idk. Can’t say you can get a Maverick when they don’t make enough of them. Ford put out a lot of these before getting rid of it. I have a 2020 Ecosport and will be trading it in for a Maverick since that’s what I originally wanted but order banks closed a week before I got it.

This was a non-US Ford vehicle brought to the US, right? I feel like it should have been cheaper for what it offered. Or maybe given us a better powertrain. Maybe reinforced hybrid considering what it is.
I had one of these on vacation for a couple of days driving it all over Phoenix and AZ in general, so I got to see what it's like around town and on the interstate. Here's my takeaway. It was fantastic and awful all at once. I liked the tall driving position. The visibility was really good. It had a very airy cabin, even though it's a very small CUV. The seat comfort was good. The interior was very attractive and I liked the design of the gauge cluster. Simple and easy to read everything. Now for why I think this vehicle was a total flop. The exterior design is extremely awkward and comical looking. The side swing tailgate is dumb. The 3cyl turbo was way too underpowered and weezy. Going up a long uphill stretch on the interstate, the transmission kept gear hunting trying to maintain speed. It was really struggling. On flat terrain at 70mph though, it was very comfortable and relaxed. The backseat has no legroom for adults. We're talking sports car backseat legroom. The ride was extremely stiff. The high-speed handling was scary. I had to do a quick lane change at 70mph and it was frightening. Overall I enjoyed it for the 2 days I had it, but I'm not sure I'd want one to daily drive.
I love mine. Mine is also a 2022 and have had zero issues other than a bulge in my tire from a pothole. I think this would have been a great EV. It's too bad it was discontinued. It should have been made in North America and not India.
They used to offer a 3 cylinder turbo, but that was only 1 liter. I WISH they had offered the 1.5 that comes in the Escape. That would have given it good power AND better mileage. However, that would make it quicker than the Escape since it weighs less, and Ford wants to sell Escapes more than EcoSports in the US.
