I own an Ecosport Titanium here in Brazil, unfortunately our last model were 2021. I hope Ford bring back this category to Brazil, nowadays the closest available for us is Ford Territory which is quite bigger and more expensive. Great review btw.
Thanks Vair. I can't see the EcoSport coming back anytime soon, it's unfortunate that the smaller crossovers are phasing out. Just checked out the Ford Territory, it has some very interesting design elements compared to the North American Escape
I have a base 2021 that had 3 miles on it and to this day its got 47,000 on it now 😅 LOVE this car the handling is amazing in west Virginia mountains you can really push it to its limits and the car takes control when it gets too twisty 😅
These cars have sturdy engines and drivetrains. Keep the fluids changed, and they will last for years, long after the Jeeps blow their engines. Fantastic for cold weather and mild off-road.
I've heard good things from most owners. Been chatting with a tech the last few days who is telling me some crazy stories about what he sees from lack of maintenance!
So my thoughts are that this car should never have been sold here. Even though I like it and I own one this car is way to underpowered, way to expensive , unreliable and inefficient. Everything makes creaking noises and the rubber window seals keep getting undone. However I love it so much when I drive it on a curvy road it just puts the biggest smile on my face. I love how the hatch opens because everyone has a roof mounted hatches and I think this is easier to use with a bonus of not hitting your head if you're tall. The 4wd system works very well but I wish it had bigger tires because these 17s don't offer enough air cushion.
Definitely one of the reasons why Ford chose to discontinue it in North America. We tend not to like smaller profile CUVs like this! The swing gate is one of the most unique features of the ride but sounds like you're enjoying it for the most part. Always great to hear from current owners!

That's great! Love to hear it when people are able to push their EcoSports. How are you finding it does for fuel economy around those roads?
@@CarsWithSteve I've actually averaged ALMOST 30MPG which is higher than what it's rated! I was shocked
Wow.. that is pretty surprising. Go EcoSport haha
I’m gonna be shopping for one of these soon
Daughter is getting G1 or 2 soon I can’t remember which one is next
G2 would be when she can drive by herself! It's a good option for a starter car
Good video Steve👍🏻
Thanks Josip!
