Thanks for this video. I'm helping a relative who's traveling to LAX next week and I'm glad to come across this video so I can just show it to my relative. In LAX we usually book with Prime Time Shuttle and their economy rides also get picked up in LAXit.
Yes, we get the occasional question about Uber from LAX and decided to make this video. We hope it does help the travelers looking for this information.
This is a super helpful video!! I had no idea here was a shuttle to the rideshare lot! That's great. The lime green is helpful and super noticeable haha! 5 minutes isn't a long wait for Uber at all, that's great! Surge pricing can be painful when it happens haha. Awesome video and tips as always you guys!! :)
I went to LAX 2 weeks ago, and the 1st thing I noticed was passenger pickup at terminal 5 & the Uber app was placing the pin there and thought this couldn't be right and seemed too easy. So, I saw the instructions read about the bus and kept walking until I found the green pillars. Funny, I wasn't pronouncing LAXit as LA exit in my head, it was lacks it until i Googled it, which is where I found this video. 😅😅
Helpful; thank you! Unless I’m being silly - what do I type into the Uber app on the pick up section? When I type LAX or LAX it, I have nowhere to put my zone number? Thank you
@@AnaheimParkTouristHi, am sorry I’m new taking an Uber and my first time going to LA. What do you mean by station you are? How do I know which station I am at ?
@lucywisinski8732 I meant the pick up point where the Uber picks you up. It will probably be easiest if you wait until you are off the shuttle bus to order you Uber.
My primary issue is getting to the LAX terminal. If you're flying into LAX using the LAX-it is easy. If you're flying out of LAX it's one of life's great nightmares since they closed the two lanes, and dedicated them to shuttles the traffic is an absolute nightmare so my question is can I be dropped off at The LAX-it lot and use the shuttle to get to the terminal to avoid the 30 to 60 minute traffic nightmare?
I have never attempted to get dropped back off at the LAX-IT lot and am not sure you can. 100% on the traffic nightmare, last time we were there it took quite a bit of time to get to the terminal.
@@AnaheimParkTourist Does that mean the bus will not allow you on, to get to the terminal? Seems like a creative solution to the terminal nightmare, that LAX has become. Management at LAX has to be some of the worst in the country. No creativity. TSA can also be a nightmare.
Hi, unfortunately we are not familiar with Turo since our car insurance doesn’t cover us since it is a car share. We have stayed away from Turo since rental fee and insurance is usually more money than the discounts we normally get with a traditional rental car company.
I am so happy the Candy Cane info helped out, we are planning another trip to Candy Cane in the future and will be staying in the larger room. I hope you have a fantastic stay there next month. As far as ART EVE, we don't make videos if we haven't used the service first hand. It would really bother us if we gave inaccurate or incomplete information. Next time we do fly into John Wayne, we will use this service and make a video of it. That being said, I checked out the information on ART EVE here: rideart.org/eve-everyone-ventures-everywhere/ The directions state that you need to use the app "A Way We Go" and the service is on demand. Since the pandemic, ART has become more confusing for people to ride and information from ART is either outdated, incomplete, or not clear. ART is responsive to questions and the number for EVE is (714) 490-0486. I have had to reach out a couple of times to get questions answered and ART has been very responsive to me. I would encourage you to call as I cannot find the service myself on the "on demand" portion of the A Way We Go App, it may be because I don't have a valid ART ticket.
I would wait until you get to the pick up point. The bus ride can be multiple minutes. As we pulled into the pickup point on the lot, I ordered my Uber. I just picked a nearby zone number to stand next to.
Hi. We don’t live in the area and don’t frequent LAX. Next time we fly in, we will have to pay attention for public transportation. I wish we could help more. Thank you for watching. ☺️
kinda shocked at how quickly the LAXit shuttle picked you up! that is awesome, the arrivals pickup area can get pretty busy at times. great guide how to use thanks for sharing ✨
We have been asked a few times to do a video like this for LAX. Flying into the smaller airports is way more convenient but can be impossible for international visitors or just cost prohibitive. On our next trip, it would have cost us $2300 to fly into SNA. Instead, we are spending about 1k to fly into LAX. Not ideal but it is so much more affordable.
Are there carts at LAXit once you arrive after taking the shuttle? I have 2 checked luggages & 1 carryon. Wondering if I just have to walk to LAXit pushing the cart with the luggages
I did not see any carts in the rideshare pickup area. The walk from the shuttle bus to to the different zones is incredibly close. I am hoping I understood your question correctly and answered it for you. If not, let me know.
@@AnaheimParkTourist oh no! I am just going to have to push the cart with luggages to LAXit instead of taking the shuttle. I dont think I can roll all 3 luggages to zone 31-32 at the ride share pickup area all by myself after getting off the shuttle bus. Thank you for your prompt reply!😀
I did not use wifi at the LAX-it lot. I did a quick search and according to trip advisor, Reddit, and google AI wireless is available. I like to confirm from multiple sources to make sure.
Hi, according to the LAX website there is free WiFi at the LAX-It location. You can see it mentioned here: www.flylax.com/UI/Flylax/Views/Lax-It/helpful-info.html look under LAX-IT Amenities and Services. Have a safe and fun trip to Southern California, thank you.
Yes, you can stand anywhere. When you order your Uber/Lyft, the app will ask which number are you standing by. I ordered my Uber as I was walking off the bus, picked a number, located that number, and walked over there. Everything is very close to where the bus drops you off.
Hi, I'm from NZ, and we don't have Shuttles here. Does it cost money to ride the Shuttle? Also, you said it cost $59.93 plus Tip from Airport to Anaheim- is there a general rule for the amount to tip? I don't want to be one of the overseas tourist who are oblivious to this 😅
Are you referring to the LAX it shuttle? If so, that is free to take. Sorry that wasn’t clear on my video. I completely understand about tipping. Our good friends are from Sweden and struggle with it as well. General rule of thumb, 15 to 20% you are good. I am aware that Uber and Lyft do take a good chunk of the fare and I always try to tip a little extra to the driver. Usually going to and from the airport I will tip $20. However, with the example I gave $13-$15 would still be a good tip.
Man, I bet it must have been costly to take an Uber. We normally rent a car as we only spend part of our time at Disneyland and others in the city or Universal. LIKE 15. 👍👍👍
Hi, Yes, the buses are wheelchair accessible. This is a quote from the Fly LAX airport webiste. "All LAX-it shuttles are ADA accessible. There are two types of buses in operation, large and small. Large buses are low floor (no stairs) and features wheelchair ramps for those who need them." I included this link for more detailed information: www.flylax.com/UI/Flylax/Views/Lax-It/accessibility-info.html
Hi Roger have you watched Clash at the Castle yesterday Hunter said in the Press Conference 80% will get the WWE RAW SD PLe and such from January forward so do you think the UK and German Areas will be lucky to been included in those higher numbers and which countries you would think could be being part of the 20% that have to wait longer. Do you think TV Contracts would messing up with it and Netflix or could they co-exists since in the States SD will be on USA as well and Peacock having some of those as well. And as long as the Deal with BILD Newspaper Company in Germany it wouldn´t be renewed their Deal hopefully really ends in german countries like mine Austria or Switzerland at the end of 2024 than I think nothing would hold it against being on Netflix even with the TV Deal that runs further since it shouldn´t have influence on Streaming deals hopefully???? What is your thoughts on that and would there be a issue in the UK for you as well where you weren´t sure????
