We do not have a trip on the books for 2025 yet, but both of these hotels are on the list to try at some point in the future. We love having the extra space in a room. Especially now that are kids are older and like to have their own space. We have heard good things about both of these hotels and we look forward to trying them in the future. If you’re looking for space and places that offer an included breakfast, Desert Palms is another hotel to check out. We have stayed twice and really enjoyed it. They have a variety of suite configurations. We have two room tours on the channel for Desert Palms. Another option would be Hyatt House which is on the opposite corner from residence inn. They have suites with kitchenettes and included hot breakfast too. We have a room tour on the channel for this hotel too. While further away, Cambria and Homewood suites are also an option for bigger rooms with kitchenettes. Homewood suites just finished up a renovation at the end of 2024. Not sure if you want to be that far away though. You can walk or take the free Toy Story shuttle from Homewood suites. And from Cambria, there is an ART stop right out front. We just walked to the Toy Story lot when we stayed at Cambria and took the free Disney shuttle. Cambria also has a neat pool area with water slides. And both include a hot breakfast. We have room tours for these hotels too. Just remember that Homewood has been renovated now, so it should look a lot nicer/newer. 😀 Please let us know if you have any other questions! Not really i was there Last year April and everything looks the same like the video you guys did 4 years ago i was on the 3 floor.

If price isn’t an issue, we prefer to stay in the bubble at a Disneyland Resort hotel. The Disneyland hotel is our favorite of the 3, and we absolutely love the pool. The walk is about the same from both hotels. And you get 30 minutes early entry from staying on site. We hope that helps and let us know if you have any other questions. Have a fun trip!

If you are a Disneyland Resort Hotel guest, you can enter through the Grand Californian, this will be the quickest way. We only edited out the wait for the crosswalk and you cannot film going through security. This way should only take 9-10 minutes total, not including the wait through security. This video was filmed about 7:30am and there wasn't much of a wait through security. Later in the morning, the lines get quite a bit longer.

This side of the park is much quieter compared to Harbor. The walk is a bit longer but it isn't terrible and I do like the option of the tram if your feet are hurting. We hope your upcoming trip is a lot of fun!

That is a hard one! With Park Place, you get an included breakfast, which would save a bit of money. They are both close and easy walking distance. We felt our stay at Del Sol was incredibly quiet, for a motel. Since it is further off Harbor blvd, we didn’t really hear any road noise and had a great night sleep while we stayed. At best western park place, we had a room towards the front of the hotel and slept terribly because of road noise. I would say the room at Del Sol was slightly nicer than Park Place. It felt more recently updated and was brighter. Depending on which room you get, the room we had at Park Place was larger compared to Del Sol. The Del Sol room worked for us, but was a bit tight for 4 of us (our kids are teens). There wasn’t a lot of places to put all of our luggage. We ended up using the top bunk for our kids bags. Also, if you will have a car, Del Sol is valet only. And they really cram the cars in. We heard them tell people to let them know the night before if they need to leave early. Hope that helps!! @@Snip59 Yes. On the website it lists guest self serve laundry and a dry cleaning service. Most places have self serve laundry. If you’re looking at a specific hotel, we can always look that info up for you or call. Off the top of my head I can't remember the exact way you need take to cut over to the parking structure and take trams. I believe you have to go over the bridge and the walk ends up being about the same amount of time or a bit longer than just walking through Downtown Disney

I always use the tram after park close when staying on this side of the parks. Makes the walk to the hotel easier

I disagree. I stayed there and the bed was old and lumpy for over 3k for a week. Candy Cane was way better in my opinion.

@mylifeasCrysta Jim was not a big fan of the beds at the courtyard. We are hoping they address that issue during the current remodel. We did really love the spaciousness of the Courtyard and it’s great for larger families since the rooms sleep 6. It is pricey though! We also love the Candy Cane. They did a fantastic job on their extensive remodel. Hojo is another one of our favorites. Thank you for watching. ☺️

Yes, we have room tours at Wyndham, Indigo, Alpine Inn, Alamo inn, Desert Palms, Stovalls, Springhill Suites, Hyatt House, and Kings Inn.

If you are targeting Sept/Oct I would target the 2-3 week of September to miss the crowds. October is one of the busiest times of the year but September is very manageable up to about the last week. If you want to be close to restaurants you will be a bit further away. If you are looking for something on the cheaper side, no frills Kings Inn is close to the GardenWalk which has a number of offsite restaurants. It is a motel but it is rated well. It is about 1.6 km to the park. Wyndham Anaheim is also close to Kings Inn, but this is a hotel. Prices can vary quite a bit. You will have easy access to the same eateries and Wyndham has an onsite restaurant and bar. Also close to the restaurants by the Hyatt House -Starbucks, Blaze Pizza, dumplings, and one other place I can't think of. Alpine Inn is one of our favorite no frills motels. It is on the backside of DCA and does have the access to the same restaurants as the Hyatt House. Additionally Desert Palms Is right next door. We do like this hotel and they have an onsite restaurant. A bit further away is Candlewood and Cambria. Candlewood will be a bit cheaper. Both are about 15-20 min walk to Disneyland. They both have easy access to the Gardenwalk and there are additional restaurants by Cambria. Starbucks, Habit Burger, Jersey Mikes, I believe Hawaiian BBQ, and a fish place. Check those out, we are here to help answer any of your questions. If you want to be closer we can suggest other hotels for you. Thank you so much!

We really enjoyed Desert Palms and love all the different room types. It is just slightly further away than The Candy Cane Inn. On our last trip, we had a viewer spot us in the park and told us she was enjoying her stay at the Desert Palms. We hope you have a fantastic trip.

We have been waiting to make this video as we wanted to stay in each hotel. It only took a few years to do that. The parking situation at Del Sol is the reason why it took us so long to stay there. Since we fly and don't rent a car, it isn't a big deal for us. The rooms were much better than we expected. Great point, a lot of the older motels don’t have elevators. When my mobility was very limited and I needed an ECV, we put in a request stating we needed a ground floor room to accommodate my limited mobility. Our other recommendation is to book an ADA room but these can sell out quickly since they are limited.

To be fair, you can hear that garbage truck at all of the motels. It is so loud and it seems like it comes at 2am. If you are not an early riser, that breakfast line does get a little noisy, we experienced this at the BW+ Mini suites. We would recommend requesting a room at the back of the property. Hope to meet up with you this coming year.

I was shocked I didn’t get a copyright issue when we were in the esplanade, usually we do. It’s such a fast walk and I guarantee getting through security takes longer than the walk. Happy New Year!

Our walking video is a little over 4 minutes, most likely 5-6 minutes at most. Super close an convenient.

Unfortunately, Del Sol is not part of the Good Neighbor program.

This is a good location and we did enjoy the rooms. There are some downsides which we will go over in our overnight experience

It’s not easy app to navigate. When you launch A Way We Go, scroll all the way to the bottom and you should see Sign Up. Do you see it?

@ I deleted it from my phone and reinstalled it and the create account option was there. You are correct it is not an easy app to use. Another woman on the bus last night says she bought tickets and then could not find them on the app when she was getting on the bus in front of me. The bus driver was kind enough to accept the email confirmation and let her on. He let me use Apple Pay for my ticket last night. Today I will try using the prepaid tickets I bought last night. Definitely needs improvement for tourists. Maybe locals know how to use it but the people on the bus who tried using it for the first time all said it was confusing.

Completely agree, this is over complicated for no reason. I am hoping you can redeem this tickets you purchased. Once you log in select passes (they changed it from when we made this video), you should see all of your purchased passes. Select one and the press activate at the bottom. Repeat for all of your passes. The bus drivers are fantastic, we had some difficulties two years ago and the bus driver helped us out.

@ the bus drivers are sooo nice. I expected them throw me off the bus with all the issues I had with the app and they take some time and help you out. I am not the only person having this problem because each time on this trip at least one other person is asking for help with the app from the bus driver

Great idea, we haven't stayed at all the hotels with a kitchenette but have stayed at around 8-10 of them. The best included breakfast with a kitchenette is probably The Element. They have a large variety of food and they rotate their choices daily, however it isn't close to the parks. The closest kitchenettes are going to be the Park Vue Inn and Tropicana, neither have breakfast. The closest kitchenettes with Breakfast will be Desert Palms, Home2 Suites, and Element.

@ thanks. I do have all of those on my list to do more researching on. I think I might be leaning towards the Element as it looks pretty fancy. If I think I can’t handle the walk by then, we can probably just use the ART, or Uber. The ART looks a little confusing, but I’m sure I can figure it out.

Element is great, on our overnight experience videos we do show some of the breakfast items. The walk isn’t terrible. We do have a walking video of it if you want to see first hand. If you want to stay a little close Home2 Suites is the place but I don’t think it will ring the bell for a healthier breakfast for you.

The walk isn’t too bad and if you are a little on the tired side you can walk to the Toy Story lot and take the free shuttle. We really enjoyed our stay here.
