This cover is amazing.
Was at the London Show on Wednesday night and the best thing I remember was Richard's Humour and Humility. Made me feel proud to be a Filter fan and I will be forever.
And also they rocked very hard and were excellent musicians.
Filter's cover of this song ROCKS! And Richard Patrick's got such a sexay voice in the verse. *Wipe sweat off brow.*
I somehow sense the fusion of NIN and Filter in this one.

I hear the original version of this song played at car shows all the time, so I think it'd be fucking hilarious to hijack the DJ booth once at one of them and play this instead... come to think of it, it'd be even funnier to play original Filter songs. Just to see the look on their faces. There's obvious exceptions (myself being one), but it seems the type of people you see at car shows are always classic rock/blues types, and fittingly, that's the type of music they play. Again, I just think it'd be funny to start playing something like Filter, or perhaps something even more detached from mainstream music.

Correct he was the touring bassist for NIN when "Head Like A Hole" hit and Trent had to form a band. He hated not being able to write music and formed Filter as a creative outlet. Robert his older brother was the Terminator in T2 and has had a decent acting career since. Talented family.
Right and wrong, but nice try. Depending on the song he played both bass or guitar as needed, The original touring band did not have a bassist, and depended on keyboards for most of the bass sound, but Patrick played bass on some songs. I was there and saw them live. People often forget that the original touring band was Patrick Guitar/Bass, Reznor Vocals/ Keyboards, Vrenna Keyboards/ Drums, and one additional keyboardist Lee Mars. Almost everyone in the band at one point or another during the show played multiple instruments. The first official Bassist was Danny Lohner in 1993 which was 4 years later.
I was at Lollapalooza 1 in 1991 and he played bass that night on at least 3 songs. REREAD my comment and quit looking at Wikipedia. Most of the bass sound that night came from keyboards, Loner was in the second touring band, NIN did not have a full time bassist until 1993 when Danny joined. I don't care if you agree. I was there. I saw it personally and this is the last of my time you will waste.
