To me “it” could be anything.... I imagine it’s different for each person. Could be love, lies, drugs, heartbreak, whatever your secret is... that makes you feel alone.

I'm driving in my jeep with the top off listening to Octane, just get done listening to RSR crossfire. 3 songs later this comes on. I tell my wife "huh, I guess RSR has another song out already, I like it". My wife proceeds to hit the info button and tells me it's not RSR, it's the Violent. Of course I don't believe her and an argument ensues. Well, 1/2 hr later we get home and I'm happy to update that I don't have to seek therapy because I wasn't crazy. Oh..and I don't have to do dishes for a month..WOOHOO!

Man I listened to this song back to back so many times in 2020. My gf left me and I eventually started smoking weed to help deal with my extreme loneliness. Covid was just starting too. It was the end of February when she left. So I was at an extremely low state. I let her take the bed we both paid for too. Dumb idea. I slept on a futon I bought which folded a little so I kept it in the couch position. I came across this song and idk it felt so personal like this is her singing to me, saying she has a secret that she wants to leave and break my heart. This song felt really good when I got high. I also almost lost my job damaging a car at work and failing a drug test. 2020 was not a good year. Haven't smoked weed since :( lol. Still incredibly lonely but at this point I don't trust women or myself even.

This is what makes RSR's lyrical writing unique a bit, I've found this in a few of their songs. I like it because I love to sing, and Mike's delivery of lyrics makes it challenging, especially on; "Uninvited", one of my absolute favorites. I initially thought the video kinda creepy, but after watching/listening to it several times, I've realized that the old man isn't being a creep, but has admiration/adoration for the female. He never attempts to contact her in person, only buying the flowers as a gift of love, respect, and admiration. And it's all done incognito! I believe the video was to point out the fact that our perspectives in life aren't always correct!!! Keep 'em coming RSR?
