God, I miss the 1980's.

I was born in 96. What I've learned about the 80's from their videos are that the girls were attractive. Bullies ran wild. Most 80's artists cannot dance, and the music was greatness.
True, I tell my kids about how they don't have bullies anymore, now it's all just done in social media. Physical bullying was brutal back then, school was like prison, unless you kicked someone's A$$ you got no respect
The women were beautiful, but the glasses were way too big and they wore their pants/shorts/skirts/bottoms way too high (It's almost like female belly buttons were illegal to show in the 80s unless they wore a bikini or were Madonna.).
Hey Echoe, I love your take and much respect. But I must disagree (slightly)😉. Bullies reigned with impunity. The music was AWESOME!! Much better than the dreck being churned out currently. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. But on the 3rd point I must disagree. I was born in 1969 and came of age in the 80s. It's true that there were some beautiful girls back then. But the ones NOW are on a different level. I don't know if it's better nutrition/exercise or hormones in meat. But young women today are definitely more beautiful and have better bodies than women from the 80s. Just one old man's opinion. 👌🏾👋🏿
When this album came out, I honestly could not remember a band more popular or more famous than ZZ Top. I mean you just heard this or Gimme All Your Lovin' on every station, all the time. Absolute banger and absolute legends.

Нет, просто современная америка стала больной, наполненной садомитами. И многие люди скучают по временам когда жизнь была естественной и не лицемерной, мир где больные уроды не говорили нормальным людям долбится в жопу и целовать неграм ноги
I was 12 years old when I first saw a ZZ Top video. Became an instant fan. I've seen them live several times and the 'Eliminator' is my dream car. Rest peacefully in the loving arms of God, Mr.Hill. You've more than earned your heavenly rest.
Back in the day when I was 6 in 1984 I watched MTV and loved this song, along with The CARS, The Eurythmics, Ghost Buster's, Prince, even Culture Club.
I have to admit back in 1984 when my older brother and I watched this video on Night Tracks, I asked him 'WTH are you watching?' However, after seeing it a few times, the video and the song was extremely catchy and I have to give ZZ Top their respect. Got me doing the wave they do at the end. Totally feeling this, R.I.P. Dusty Hill
Growing up in Texas, I have seen the boys play a bunch of times. But the best show I saw was like ~1986 in Frankfurt Germany. Some fellow soldiers and I went to see them play. We were blown away, very cool show. I believe it was the tour with this album maybe. Anyway, very cool. RIP Dusty, you left us all alone out here, but with some of the best music ever! Long live the legend that is ZZ Top👍👍
Wow this song brings back good memories of my childhood. I used to watch this video almost daily on Video One hosted by Richard Blade. That show introduced me to Thomas Dolby, Adam Ant and so many other great artists.
So I've been working my way through the ZZ Top music videos and my findings are as follows: a) The band are mystical beings who appear whenever/wherever societal wrongs need correcting. They also may be omnipresent, but remain invisible to most people except the helped. The three women act as their "miracle conduits", and who also possess undefined powers of persuasion. b) The source of the band's power is their vehicle, by way of their signature keys. Their beards as well. c) Most problems can be resolved by a 1933 "Eliminator" Ford appearing and whisking you away. However, that being said, the car seems to also be some kind of sentient being since it had died in a previous videos, but was presumably brought back to life (Jesus metaphor?)
The three ZZ Top Goddesses might be Greek Furies (Erinyes), if the latter then their ancient names would be: Alecto - Punisher of moral crimes (anger, etc.) Megaera - Punisher of infidelity, oath breakers, and theft Tisiphone - Punisher of murderers Alternatively they might be considered Valkyrie, though I think the girls from the amazing: 'The Avalanches' "Since I Left You", (1999), Actually fit the Norse Valkyrie 'Choosers of the slain' role better. That video is a bit like a like an old "Twilight Zone' episode. The ZZ Top keychain can be seen as a stylized lightning bolt - so that could play as a gift from Zeus, Ruler of the Greek Pantheon.
Thank you and @jason P. for the insightful chain. I agree, with the 3 faeries theme. I find it interesting it is used commonly in music videos, and wonder where the artists find themselves in the midst. Chet Faker's "Gold" MV, he is seen as the victim of fate and succumbs to the three goddesses on roller blades, whereas ZZ Top appears to be the instruments of destiny and has the accompanying 3 fates dress up and assist in their object's rescue.
I along with many, MANY other teenage girls wanted to be ZZ Top girls after this video as we all want happy endings, eh. ICONS. Thank you for being your amazing selves everyone, peace and much love sent from Ontario, Canada.
Love everything about this video Hot chicks in 34 coupe, revenge on people who treated her wrong, and ZZ top laying down some hot licks! Damn I miss the 80s
Song is 36 years old and still sounds as good as the day it was released. An all time classic. "I miss the 70s and 80s." I say, being born in the 2000s.
As someone who was born in the 70's, grew up in the 80's, You are right, this is a classic and the 90's was the BEST Era EVER. Time to listen to this song again :)
I swear every ZZ Top video is the band playing as a bunch of magical godfathers using their detachment of angels to help out some working stiffs catch a break.

I remember every one of those like it was yesterday ☺️
I have to admit back in 1984 when my older brother and I watched this video on Night Tracks, I asked him 'WTH are you watching?' However, after seeing it a few times, the video and the song was extremely catchy and I have to give ZZ Top their respect. Got me doing the wave they do at the end. Totally feeling this, R.I.P. Dusty Hill
I love these old videos. They may not have the technical advances we have today, but they were lots of fun to watch.
Farewell to a sharp dressed man.
R.I.P Dusty Hill: 1949-2021.
Mi tema favorito de ZZ Top. QEPD Dusty Hill.
Got 2 b the best rock group of all time ! The coolest 😊
So I've been working my way through the ZZ Top music videos and my findings are as follows:
a) The band are mystical beings who appear whenever/wherever societal wrongs need correcting.
The three ZZ Top Goddesses might be Greek Furies (Erinyes), if the latter then their ancient names would be:
Alecto - Punisher of moral crimes (anger, etc.)
Megaera - Punisher of infidelity, oath breakers, and theft
Tisiphone - Punisher of murderers
Alternatively they might be considered Valkyrie, though I think the girls from the amazing:
'The Avalanches' "Since I Left You", (1999),
Actually fit the Norse Valkyrie 'Choosers of the slain' role better.
Agree ! I also love the interpretations. Thanks VW H and Jason P.
@@jasonp.1195 I bow humbly to your infinite knowledge

Hi Charlie, how are you doing 👋😊
Absolutely one of the finest music videos ever made;!!
Dusty RIP man you and ZzTopp helped me out of the blues through some of the darkest times of my life
Song is 36 years old and still sounds as good as the day it was released.
